    My daughter just got a $1k quote to replace her compressor/condenser and all the associated A/C parts on her 2010 Honda Fit, but I happened to notice that this little button wasn't working, so I figured, lets replace this little part first ($50) before you spend $1k on replacing "everything". I'm a diy'er, my daughter not so much, but she loves the savings. This video is exactly what I needed to get the job done myself.

    Listen... I am a mechanic professionally and have been for many mant years now. My button went out i ordered a new one and immediately began pulling dash trim out. Decided to pull up youtube and found your video. You saved me tons of time and headache with this neat little trick. Thank you so much. I would have never thought to do that.

    Thank you very much Kevin. It took me less than 5 mins to replace the AC switch. Please note, I use same kind of screw and put the screw in the center of the old switch as Kevin said.🙏

    I couldn't get the screw in, but I used a flathead screwdriver to shimmy it a ways out, and then pliers the rest of the way. Thanks.

    I could not get the screw in there so, I used a nail and a hammer. I was thinking, make a hoke then I can pull the nail off and insert the screw. Well to my astonishment, when I try to pull the nail off, the switch cam off! It was easy peasy !!!! thank you so much

    Hey I have a problem with my Honda fit 2009 AC, it was working well yesterday but now today it doesn’t wants to turn on at all. When I press the switch nothing happens, the fans nor the compressor turns on it’s just completely silent like I didn’t touch anything. Even my fogger doesn’t turn on, what is my issue? Is it my AC resistor or it’s an electrical issue

    Hi Kevin, don't you know how to replace the bulb in the fan/heat button? What type of bulb do I need? I didn't want to force the button to pull off. It seems pulling off is not the correct method.
    Unfortunately can't find any video regarding this. Thanks in advance.

    • @ktoutdoor
      @ktoutdoor  2 года назад +1

      I remember seeing the bulbs inside my switch but I don't think you can but them? you may have to get a new switch? I'm not sure

    Okay, that didn't go perfectly. I think one of the tabs got caught, cause that thing came out in jagged chuncks. Still saved me a ton of time compared to taking the dash apart. Thanks for the idea, now I can spend my day on something else.

    Obvious to most, but you left out the part about first drilling a hole in the switch face so you can install the screw.

    • @ktoutdoor
      @ktoutdoor  Год назад +1

      I did not have to drill a hole used a small self tapping sheet metal screw.
