Lots of respect for diving into a burned up blow down mess. The help you provided that family is unbelievable! Thank you doesn't even begin too cover it
Bucking getting it done 👍he's the right guy for the task at hand. His work speaks for himself, humble, thoughtful, clean, and most of all safe from his cuts to his layout of the wood. So now Daryl can rest easy at night knowing it's handed and taken care of right much love Bucking and Daryl and to all the volunteers who came together out there and took care of business and his family.
Another great video Buckin . Thanks for going to help Daryl and his neighbors out . Hope everyone watching this is learning how to be safe and watching their surroundings as they are cutting up trees ❤
This workout is one of my favorite videos of all Buckin times... The long bar and wrap around handle prove their worth in this dangerous situation. " It's not work if you call it a workout" 👍🔧🤞🌪️
thanks to daryl and brandon, nice to see you cutting little n s trees , after cleaning up after two hurricans you. just have to dig into it and have at it . its different to see you cutting n s wood was great to meet at the park thanks boss
Well done Brother Buckin!...This gnarly type of mess reminds me of parts of my property...nasty and dangerous! We drove over to Squilax in the Shuswap Region last weekend and the Little Shuswap Indian Band Territory was all burned up last year, lots of the homes, including the elders, were burned to the foundation. I was pleased to see how resourceful and motivated the good folks out there are though, they have already stared to reconstruct several homes and to clear lots of burned dead standing. Qua'aout Lodge Hotel burned down three years ago, I have many good memories of working with the folks over there, thankfully the beautiful conference and training rooms were left intact and the Jack Sams restaurant is still serving wonderful food.
As much of a bummer it is the fire was so bad, at least this guy got help from a really nice dude and a freakin boatload of firewood - there are lots of blessings in hardship sometimes
What an awesome guy you are Buckin!!! Great footage, and ya look smooth in there pal😊😊 what an honor it would be to cut with ya and learn some things in the bush❤ Daryl, much deserved buddy, and i hope things start lookin up for you and your family brother❤❤much love from my family to yours🪓🪵🌲❤️❤️
Really nice to see working through some of these tricky windblown situations. I just did some training for windblown trees a few weeks ago and its nice to see a seasoned pro using all the same cuts and techniques.
Very cool to see you on the East Coast. I used to work on the line clearance crews, and we went up to Scotia for a month untangling those knots. I only had a stock saw with and 18" bar though. Keep up the good work!
Another benefit of a long bar has presented itself in these videos. This is some narley lookin stuff. Buckin has his head on a swivel at all times. Stay safe, stay strong oit there.😊
Orwsome billy. Had 1 hook up from a limb from a previous storm 2 years ago, neighbor called me and was concerned about a limb hook up with a second tree 🌳 this limb was a monster 😳 just resting on it. Sure is a mess. We've been dealing with it since Hurricane Juan, back in 2003 I think. Fires and storms. We pull those trees out to a processing site, chip, mulch and truck away. Armpit deep is tough..been there, 40 years this year. Welcome to Nova Scotia.
Buckin' you appear to ENJOY running - or being behind a saw. AND then there's that devilish grin when you peer at the camera and catch you "having fun".
I'm in SW Missouri and am currently cleaning up after the last tornado, just helping neighbors out for gas and oil. Not any building damage from tornado but a bit from falling trees. I'm retired but lol but have about 4 or 5 weeks of downed trees, all mishmashed big oak, 24" to 48" in diameter, some maple but it tore the heck out of the beautiful old oaks around. Thousands. Just from a little f1 or f2 tornado. So much tension on the limbs and trunks you gotta be careful. This is the 5th or 6th ive worked.
I can see where a long bar comes in handy in this mess. But unless you have some time and experience with it chance are you're going get hurt. You may have years of experience doing this kind of work with a 18 or 20 inch bar, but this mess is a different animal. I'm sure Daryl is struggling with how to thank you guys. Wish I was closer to this disaster to help. I'm sure there's many of viewers watching this and wishing they could grab their saw and run out the door to help. I mean what are the odds of Daryl winning this saw and hooking up with Billy Ray 👍
Hi buckin you are a champion of champion's keep up the great work and stay safe out there. I wish I didn't live in a city id rather live in a beautiful wooded area like you and some day I will be if my business will start making money sofar it is costing more to run than i have made . I have spent $22,000 on tool and lumber and another $4500 on marketing and i am starting to realize the woodworking market is flooded with to many Chinese imported trash that is selling for way less than can even make the stuff for. I think I should have started a small concrete removal replacement company it seems to be way less competition in that industry so i might just try it instead i love the outdoors more than I like being indoors
Buckin you was the man for this job you knew exactly what to do to make it safe for everyone great work buddy 👍 i so injoy the process of getting it on the ground nice work gentlemen god bless
Awesome job buckin! You are absolutely right about cutting small wood. Its hairy, especially in blown down patches when they get tagged up with each other and cutting the hinge to a clever in order for it to go. Birch trees are bad for that. Keep the videos coming and keep up the good work gentlemen!
Love it one of my favourite videos I’ve seen yet an Daryl is a very good camera man great footage ! Great to see the project happening I see why a month or so ago I heard you mention the job wasn’t safe for a lot of people to be there at once . I see why dangerous looking stuff perfect guy for the job !!
Service and Love in action via BBR!!! This is one of the many reasons I joined this amazing community a very long time ago. Love you all...❤❤❤ Dr/Lt. Bradley
Nasty work Buckin, but you are up to the job. Watching you work your way through the windfalls was to say the least, educational! Dirty and dangerous. Good on you mate for helping a fella out. Cheers from HB NZ
5:59 - I got to do this once in my Life... 😊 It was the 1st year live Christmas 🎄 my parents got for the home 🏡 that they built in 1971 ( the year I was born) it came down in 2021 bad 🌬 wind/wind shear the day of...took power lines out too... Mine came up with a little more of a totem pole though... but MAN the force behind it... ✌🏼to everyone this Wonderful Mother’s Day... 🌞
The past year we have had a series of extremely powerful wind and rain storms here on the North East Coast. They have caused widespread tree damage with dangerous blow down patches as you are working here. Tension and overhead snags with these trees is very dangerous and please everyone be VERY careful cutting felling and clearing in these areas 🌳 I have run saws for 3 decades and was well bruised up from a miscalculated tree in this type setup.
Einstein would be proud. Gravity and pressure are measurable. Although estimates are way more useful. Which comes with experience. Obviously, you have experience. Keep cutting. And posting videos of coarse.
Great informative, educational, motivational video as always Buckin. You inspire to get outside with my saw & cut! I have a quick question. I am planning to purchase a pair of chainsaw trousers & I see you wear many different brands, they are a considerable investment & I wondered if you have found a brand that works best for you? I know your not big into endorsing products but i was just looking for your opinion based on. personal experience. Thanks!
@@BuckinBillyRaySmith thank you for the reply Buckin ! I noticed in this video you mentioned the Breathflex having a better cut. & being roomy. Just wondered if you were talking about those but said Pfanner mistakingly. Thanks again!!
Question for anyone that knows the answer...is it true that logs that have been burned in a forest fire cant be milled into boards? If it is true, is that because all of the sap is heated and moved down to rhe stump, so theres no sap holding the fibres together? Thanks everyone :)
Thanks , Its like watching a Ballet . You could put classical music to the video and it would fit. Im sure you got your daily dose of activated charcoal .
Lots of respect for diving into a burned up blow down mess. The help you provided that family is unbelievable! Thank you doesn't even begin too cover it

@@BuckinBillyRaySmith And now the BC forests fires are at it again, I hear; they made it to the Danish news. I hope everybody are okay.

Getting pretty close too me, I live in New Brunswick. Shame too see the forest in such despair

Really curious, do these burnt trees dull your saws faster than normal trees? I feel like that carbon on the tree would be like sandpaper

How did you get your saws there, checked baggage?
At 8:35 and a little while before.. Does that saw sound lean to you? Almost sounds like its running out of gas.
