I have a craftsmen tractor and I have replaced my front bearing a couple times now. It seems the bearings don't last very long. The bearings are not tight on the shaft so they rotate and wear on the shaft instead of on the balls. Wears out quickly. Any ideas.
Did you buy the correct bearings initially? If you’re wearing the shaft now you might need new spindles for anything to work correctly now if it’s that bad.

Part number for the bearing?
It depends on your tractor, some have a metric size and others don’t. Without knowing what you have I can’t give you a part number.
