The only area they need to add to the game would be "The Parch" A desert area Take from bits of Dreamquest of Unknown Kadath and a few other stories set in and around deserts Have higher chances for Oases and cosmic encounters
As mentioned elsewhere here, dwarves (plus elves, goblins & gnomes etc) are rooted mostly in Norse/N German (Saxon?) mythology. I believe hobbits (AKA halflings) are purely Tolkien, based on his preference for another humanlike race but unwilling to use the more diminutive fae (eg gnomes, pixies etc) from that mythos
Imagine using the bounty hunter twice. But the second use he sometimes hits his own teammates due to bloodlust and madness. He is a killer. His mask is also off and clothes torn. He is often uncontrollable and at the end of the region one of your characters mysteriously dissappear. 50 50 chance of him claiming a character. For balance of course. And if he is used a third time the user has a 20% chance of controlling the bounty hunter per turn and him claiming a character is guaranteed at the end of region. He also has a 25% damage increase.
Have you checked out the upgrades the crusader gets when enemies are burning? Radiance gives +30% damage to him when hitting burning targets. I had really good luck using him as a primary damage dealer on a squad that was scourge flagellant (tank and supplementary heals, crusader (smite, zealous, holy Lance, radiance, tenacity), jester, alchemist plague doctor. So long as targets have a burn on them, regardless of the amount, the crusader hits like a truck and stress heals.
I think the biggest problem with Backdraft is that even once it has been upgraded, it's still so much weaker than other options. I think if it did 100% damage upfront, and the upgrade did extra damage, then it would even be worth considering, because as it is right now it's literally just massively weaker Cause of Death
Dwarves were pretty much primarily a Norse folklore before Tolkien, whereas elves and other creatures, aside from hobbits, had established associations in Europe. Tolkien made up Hobbits, and modernized elves into the knife eared humanoids, they were more monstrous in folklore since they usually did mischievous and heinous things to Humans.
Would it be possible to use an extra action (eg jester's skill or a trinket) to allow for a block-then-move if the General's Dream is equipped, as that immobilize appears to only happen until that hero's turn is ended (I may well be wrong here)? Would it be useful (albeit obv situational)?

Can't claim Crusader isn't a stickler for traditions. Our man went klepto the first opportunity he got.
"maybe we mercy kill the back-draft team..." so funny had be crying
Just wanted to say you are my favorite background noise streamer.
It seems like the slime is just Debuff resist, not debuff resist piercing. Love the content Baer!
I love backdraft builds. I've been waiting for this one!

Burning Stars is one of my fav named team tbh, been enjoying them a lot in my runs
Ahh, the Redemptionist team.
"BURN THE UNCLEAN!"
I fought the warlord right after a lair boss and also found his dot dmg resist to be the main reason I got wiped.
That and the fact that he does SO MUCH DAMAGE
What a rollercoaster. That was excellent
% healing buff on the occultist makes more sense because he does bigger heals than the plague doctor
..however the plague doc is more reliable & consistent: swings & roundabouts
@@snafu2350 very true but I think on the class he had for the occultist the heal being buffed would've made me favor the occultist for that trinket

Is there a reason to repair the coach right before the mountain?
Repairing the amour to full will give you a shield at the beginning of each fight, full wheels gives you more traveling heal.
My favorite team in the game
But mainly because I played them for 50+ episodes on my channel and did the grand slam with them lol
The flame....the last hope for us all
i was really hopin someone in chat would tell you the slime didnt do that 😂 great video man
Regis is a thief
Dwarves in part come from Norse mythology, same for elves
Fantasy fiction has been in existence for way longer than the term for it, it's just been called "mythology" and "folk tales" and "epic poems".
