You say that and I've thought the same, but he's only good in small doses. Any longer than 5 minutes of him would get boring, it's a very one note character. Hilarious in small segments, but trying to make a full show out of it would be laborious. If you go back and watch early seasons of PJDN, it gets boring in the episodes he has a lot of screentime by himself. The one he keeps calling Decoy 'Deeky' and opens his own club, that's proper boring by the end. His character is best left as an comedy extra, doesn't quite have the gravitas to be the main star.
I'd love to see a Steves sitcom though. It'd be like Alan Partridge meets Mr Bean with a chunk of Benefits street thrown in.
