He is very self-aware when it comes to Q&As in interviews. I remember someone pointed out how in his interview with Larry King he only ever answered the questions seriously when they were impromptu questions from Larry, but the ones he had written down and engineered beforehand Eric completely ignored and only answered with jokes.

I love the reference to the Eric Andre Show at 0:56 when he randomly waves to the shop worker and it cuts to the shop worker who smiles back. There are so many of these random appearances of people in the studio in the Eric Andre Show. And with the way this was moment was cut it really felt similar and like a nod to that.
