  • How do you break through mainstream media's glass ceiling? Does comedy perpetuate stereotypes? Are accents racist? Are people laughing at you or with you?
Asim and a group of friends with diverse backgrounds went against all odds to create PEOPLE JUST DO NOTHING a multi-award winning genre busting comedy. His character Chabuddy G has cult like legendary status as an iconic status as the unofficial mayor of Hounslow. He's a netflix star, and an incredible rapper. But all of this wasn't easy.
We explore the challenges and strategies of getting your creative work recognised in industry. Taking a look at his childhood and unique experiences as a young boy growing up in Hounslow, to his family, to a rebellious "fat girthy class clown" refusing cultural norms to become an actor and award winner.

Nadir Nahdi is a storyteller seeking out opportunities to learn and grow via the people he meets, food he eats and places he visits. Imagine Bourdain and Riz Ahmed had a love baby, it would probably look a little like him.

Love his realness! He can be vulnerable without being too emotional about it.

Racism IS racism - painting all "white" people with the same brush is just as racist as if you had targeted any other race. Enough of the cultural shaming - can't we just celebrate our individual cultures AND our shared identities? Two wrongs never make a right. I hope one day we will interact as humans again, not skin tones.
