Have friends who transitioned from Prowlers to Growlers. VAQ-209 sends its regards! VAQ-209 supported USAF and USMC needs most of the time. The INCAS system is a noise canceling system new to the Growler. It also split the "football" from the EA-6 and put them in wingtip pods, the ALQ-219. A lot of the systems were computerized so two extra Electronic Countermeasures Officers were not required. Typically the Growler will carry two High Band ALQ-99s on the wing stations and the centerline will be a Low Band ALQ-99, sort of short and squat. The New Generation Jammers are ready but wont get into that. The APG-79 is intergrated with all the RWR,ESM and ECM and can of course point jam a hostile emitter. The ALQ-99s and Buddy Store both have electric generatiors. The F/A-18Foxtrot has a missionized rear cockpit. There is no flight controls in the Fleet model Foxtrot. A couple of notes for those who care: -To make it more realistic, make the growler have an alignment required to jam the SAMs. Jamming doesn't just uniformly reduce the WEZ of a SAM. i.e. if you want to do DEAD, you need to maintain alignment with a certain number of degrees to the bombing platform to protect them until they pickle and get out -The F variant with the WSO in the back tends to be used for missions involving more "button pushing" like bombing or RMC with the single seater E variants doing the air-to-air mission. Both variants can technically do it all but that's usually how it is divided up. The ratio in the fleet is about 2:1, single seaters (E) to dual seaters(F). -In the growler, the back seater does like 80% of the mission with the pilot just flying the profiles dictated by the back seater and required for electronic attack
After studying EW capability of the Growler I am convinced it is the most underrated aircraft. For example it has the capability to do what is known as Range Gate Pull-Off, Velocity Gate Pull-Off and I think Altitude Gate Pull-Off, essentially meaning it receives an emission from a radar and sends back an emission telling that radar that the contact is at a different range/speed/altitude, it can also be used in conjunction with what's known as Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar technique (ISAR) in which the Growler receives the signal from the radar and sends back an inverse wavelength, this cancels out the signal and therefore the radar cannot detect the Growler. (If Radar is SAM they will be wasting munitions firing on targets that don't exist, while the real threat is elsewhere). These are just a few of the super secret capabilities of the Growler that I have found public information on and it is reasonable to assume the Growler can perform buddy ISAR, essentially making aircraft around them undetectable to radar, whilst also generating a ghost signal on the enemy radar showing different threats at different locations. The Growler is way more capable then it seems, it haunts AEGIS operators dreams, and they can passively detect, track, and lock enemy air threats including stealth using just EW from ranges that exceed what you might imagine (They usually send this info to other aircraft to perform the shoot down via datalink (similar system to what the Gripen has and I assume F35 and Echo & Foxtrot)). The Growler is also capable of jamming incoming radar guided munitions so if they are targeted by say a missile with a radar seeker head, they can spoof that missile. The Growler has had it's gun removed for extra space for electronic stuff. This is just the tip of the iceberg of the Growlers capabilities as majority is super secret. The person in the backseat is known as an Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO). Cheers Cap for the video, love the Growler.
I just saw a video on this, F/A-18E's are primarily air to air, F's are primarily air to ground. They can do both missions, but the pilots are trained according to their model's primary mission profile.
Not WSO...the GIB (guy in back) is called and ECMO (electronic countermeasures officer)...and yes, the propeller on the front of the ALQ-99 is a RAT (ram air turbine)...E model is a single seat, the F model is like a F-14 with a WSO.
For those curious about the USAF not using the Growler and what their future plans may be. The current USAF decision was to ultimately decline acquiring their own Growlers (it was two or three squadrons under consideration for the acquisition, if I recall correctly). First off, the USN Growlers would just fly in support alongside any USAF flights in the event there's any significant operations breaking out. In fact, one of the Growler's weaknesses right now is the limited combat radius, so combining it with USAF assets, particularly the dedicated tanker aircraft, would counter that weakness. This decision may have also been influenced by the existence of the USAF's inventory of dedicated non-fighter models that offer various electronic warfare, electronic countermeasures, ISR, and jamming capabilities: Lockheed EC-130, Boeing E-3 Sentry, Boeing E-4, Lockheed EC-130H Compass Call, Boeing E-6 Mercury/Hermes, Northrop Grumman E-8 Joint STARS, Boeing E-767, Boeing E-7 Wedgetail (on order, replacing the E-3 Sentry), and EA-37B Compass Call (on order, replacing the EC-130H). Not all of these aforementioned USAF aircraft serve in identical roles to the Growler or each other, of course, but they provide some of the capabilities of the Growler depending on the model and so on, as it's not public knowledge as to how capable each respective radar, sensor suite, and electronics package on these models are when it comes to general electronic warfare and offensive ECM. All of those are also combined with the capability of each F-35 offering such a significant amount of jamming/electronic warfare capabilities (quotes indicate the advanced AESA radar is powerful enough for targeted electronic warfare) versus all 4th-gen aircraft. Also of note: "The F-35's EW capabilities are considered the centerpiece of the Block 4 upgrade. The Block 4 upgrade's main objective is to provide the F-35 with the equipment and capabilities to win an electromagnetic spectrum battle." Block 4 is currently being implemented. Finally, Boeing is in the middle of evaluating the F-15EX to serve as the next-generation USAF dedicated electronic warfare, jamming, and ISR fighter-capable aircraft. Using the F-15EX and having it carry the new Stand-in-Attack Weapon (upgraded Advanced Harm, targetting standard emmissions like the HARM and adding the capability to hit basically all other ground threats, such as mobile launch vehicles).
Wow, I didn't even make the connection right away, but I think you're on to something here. He mentioned the slop in the stick and made references to the Jizzo. Not an ideal combination.
The Growler jammer pods with the turbines on the front are the same jammers from EA6. The new pods now entering service do not have a turbine on the front but instead have doors that open on the sides to feed an internal turbine. With the doors closed they look almost like a normal drop tank. I believe its done with airflow power because the pods use a lot of power and modifying the Super hornet engines to generate more electric power was considered too difficult or expensive.
F/A-18E Super Hornet, single seat (like the A and C models of the legacy Hornet). Multi role fighter and attack, capable of switching back and forth and conducting both missions (just like the legacy Hornets) F/A-18F Super Hornet, two seater (like the B and D models). Back seater is a Weapons System Officer (WSO) who is *not* a pilot, and the F model has no flight controls in the back *unlike say the F-16D or F-15D) and if for pilot training, an instructor in the back can't take over... Like the E model is also fully capable of both fighter and attack missions. The backseater WSO allows greater flexibility in focusing on air to ground strike ordinance and targeting while the pilot flies, or while using long range air to air missiles (not entirely unlike the F-14s Radar Intercept Officer RIO) The F model excels at complex missions (like this scenario) and performing Forward Air Control (FAC), while the single seat E model has better performance, range and whatnot. Typical mix in a modern Carrier Air Wing is 3x E model Fighter Attack VFA squadrons and 1x two seat F model VFA. The new F-35C are taking over E model (so you'll have 1x F-35C squadron, 2x F/A-18E, and 1x F/A-18F squadrons) So you can absolutely have scenarios like the vid where the F models are focused on the strike mission while the lighter, nimbler E models focus on a2a escorting. Or you can have the single seat E with the JDAMs while the F models WSO plays "RIO" helping spot and manage complex a2a picture as well (or even a mix, all depending). So there's tremendous overlap and flexibility in the mission sets both Super Bug models provide the CAG. EA-18G is a purpose built dedicated Electronic Attack version. Besides carrying the big, dedicated AN/ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System pods under the wings, has the wingtip Sidewinder rails replaced by the ALQ-218 Wingtip Receivers (like you speculated, they listen, detecting and locating enemy radar emissions) Also the M61 Vulcan gun in the nose is replaced by more EW equipment, all managed by a dedicated Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) in the back whose rear cockpit is focused solely on the EW mission (Vs the F models more generic WSO). Growlers typically carry a pair of HARMs or AARGMs under the wings and a pair of AMRAAMs on the shoulder stations, so they can still reach out and kinetically touch radars and enemy jets, as well as frying them and jamming them electronically.
Cap, watching you trying to refuel brought back memories of what the pilots use to do to my refueling store baskets. DCS should model what happens when you screw it up and make you fly back with the basket stuck on your refueling probe.
Great mission! More missions like this attacking land or naval targets. Great use of Growler. MATIX gets a navy cross and Purple Heart posthumously, Cap gets the Legion of Marrot for planning the attack, fighter jocks and bombers get Silver Stars. The growler can do what you showed, and more when part of any strike package. They are a key advantage that the Russians dont have on their one sad sack of a carrier.
Yup, removed the gun for more electronics/hardware upgrades. It makes sense, as a Growler isn't designed to make strafing runs and it will carry some self-defense air-to-air missiles, but it would be a shoot and scoot (tactical retreat while jamming out of it's rear) and finding some friendly air cover. I'm not 100% certain, but I believe I read the pods are multi-directional in addition to having emitters on the front tip and back tip of each pod, so the electronic warfare can be directed from all aspects, resulting in the Growler flying an effective holding pattern from the preferred mission range. If that's not correct for current pods, then I was reading an article specifically on the Next Generation Jamming pods currently in production (some teething issues with the consistency of manufacturing quality, I believe).
yes we have one half sized sqn (No6 Sqn) of Growlers only 12 airframes to support our 24 F18F Superhornets of No1 Sqn EDIT and we have 3sqn's (72 aircraft) of F35s..
@ 19:00. Guys, it looks exactly like a Viking transfer. Try matching the supplier plane speed, then ONLY use the right throttle to get you in and out, while adding power to the LEFT throttle with your pinky as required. The engines are close enough, this won't make any difference. Good luck
More Super Hornet content, please. The F-35 also has some EW capabilities and Ward Carroll once said you can conquer the world in terms of information processing when you combine the power of the F-35 with the Growler.
WARNING: ALQ-99 jamming pod IS NOT rated for supersonic flight! The ALQ-99 is being replaced by the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) which will be rated for supersonic flight As for your questions about the Growler, the wingtip pods are AN/ALQ-218 wideband detection receivers while the electronic control boxes for them replaced the gun Requesting 2030’s carrier battles in DCS plz. Things to consider: -British aircraft will most likely be equipped with air-launched Spear 5 missiles while American aircraft will be equipped with HACM hypersonic cruise missiles (if no HACM mod exists, maybe modify the Spear 5 so its hypersonic instead of supersonic to simulate?) -American AWACS will most likely have missiles specifically designed to shoot down anti-air missiles fired at them -American stealth fighters will most likely be using new generation of stealth materials that not only reduce RCS but also reduce the IR signature -possibility of the NGAD internally carrying HACM, LRASM, JASSM, and AIM-174B. Will also carry a large amount of ordnance internally -NGAD has a high probability of sporting thrust vectoring nozzles to assist in general flight control due to lack of vertical tails with a knock-on effect of boosting its agility in visual range dogfighting. Also, due to it sporting adaptive cycle engines, it will have excellent thrust to weight ratios and therefore acceleration -F-35’s have stealthy wingtip pylons for heat seeking missiles -both American and Chinese carrier groups should be equipped with EA-18G Growler and the J-15D electronic warfare aircraft to aid in missile penetration as well as possibly defending against incoming missiles. NOTE: possibility of the naval NGAD replacing the EA-18G -American (and possibly British) aircraft will be using a combination of towed electronic warfare decoys as well as BriteCloud electronic warfare decoys, making them much harder to hit than traditional self-defense jammers and chaff (don’t know about Chinese and Russian aircraft though) (if they’re not in the game or there’s no mod, maybe modify refueling hoses to have both decoy and jamming capability as well as a longer length, as well as miniature MALD’s for the BriteCloud?)
Thanks. Yes I've been considering 2030 battles for a while BUT there is a whole bunch of stuff that I need that I currently don't have, so at this rate it will be 2030 before I get to do it!
For the F model, there's an official reason being, they do the exact same thing as the E with the workload split between pilot and WSO. The unofficial in my opinion is to accommodate the RIOs from the F14 days and allow for career progression. So, in my opinion it's a stop gap until the WSO position is completely phased out for the F35 to come come in completely...whenever that is.
See, I was thinking the same thing. So, I made a comment that said, "Cap, I'll be your Jizzo anytime," but Cap was less than enthusiastic and awkard, replying, "erm... thanks?" I think I know what's going on here. I believe Cap just prefers being a back-seater Jizzo, and I should have stated he could be MY Jizzo anytime, just like the Iceman quote, "you can be my wingman any time." Thank you for helping me mop up-wait, I mean, clearing this jizzo up. Giggity. 😁
Secondly: watching this refueling section gave me an idea: you mentioned human centipede. Just that: how many super hornets can refuel in a line with buddy tanks? Could be a bit of a fun challenge
There used to be EF-111A at Mountain Home AFB. For me, there was a certain mystic to them. I have gotten to tour E-3s, E-2s, and fly in a KC-135 Stratotanker. I have seen EF-111s, and EA-6Ds at airshows in static displays, but never got to see the cockpits. Now that you have the EA-18G Growler, and the F/A-18E you should do the scenario from history channel dogfights where the EF-111A was being chased by the Mirage F-1, and the F-15 had to come to the rescue. It ended in a manuvuer kill but the F-15 got the credit. I think it was "Dogfights of the Gulf War".

Bit of info on the growlers. The RAAF also operates them. There are modifications not shared with the f model. A few visible differences are the pods on the wing tips and the aero fences on the wings which apparently provide more stability which helps accuracy of jamming. They are also wired differently with extra harnesses and i believe computers and cooling. Also they dont have a gun. The space was needed for computers i think Also, those speed breaks are not strictly speed breaks. They are LEX spoilers to disturb the airflow over the LEX which are deployed in conjunction to other flight surface movements to act as speed brakes similar to the f22 and f35. You see them deploy when the hornet is at high alpha and pushes stick forward. Destroying the lift over the LEX helps get the nose down.
Hey cap I have the same problem with my stick I have trick to make formation and refuelling easier on the f18, you can turn on the BALT A/P and hit the button to disengage it not by the paddle or violently moving the stick, the BALT will we disengaged but it will dampen a lot of the stick movement and make it 100 times easier, it works very well on the f18
Australia has the Supers and Growlers. .the asymmetric load-out is commonly seen. But the stores on the wing pylons don't point straight ahead... And I HATE IT 😅
Don't you still have all your x-56 setup files from a couple of years ago? You made them public and apart from having the trim upside down, they were a pretty good starting point! I probably have the folder somewhere if you need it.
Seems I need a new stick if Cap is struggling with an old stick, I’m using an X52 Pro which hasn’t had a lot of use but the spring just doesn’t give me the detail I need to fly effectively
RAAF use the F as strike aircraft as a (arguably not very good) replacement for the F-111C. It takes a fairly extensive and expensive re-wire to get an F capable of being turned into a Growler.
the F-35 *could eventually replace Growlers, they've got most of the equipment installed to do most of the mission, albeit not purpose built for it, and obviously without the benefit of a back seat.
An interesting video I would like to see is for a US ESG (not CSG) vs a Russian fleet led by the Admiral K, since Russia doesn't have any supercarriers to threaten a us CSG. ESGs are usually 1x Wasp LHD, 1x LPD, 1x LSD, 2 Destroyers, 1 Cruiser. I don't see anywhere in the fleet for an AWACS, so you might need to cheat one in. While ESGs don't really have much in the way of anti-shipping, it can carry up to 20 F-35Cs and some of them can carry AGM-158C (Might need to keep some for air-to-air too though) I don't know if Sea Power is the right place to do this one (probably doesn't have the assets, since the Wasp and Admiral K are both post-1990), but you might be able to find the DCS assets.
I realize that the Growler has more modern electronics but if you're flying into an environment with and unknown threat frequency, I rather have a Prowler with three trained EW NFOs taking on the new threat instead of one NFO. I'm an old school Cold War carrier veteran. I miss the Tomcat, Intruder, and Prowlers so much. The early Hornets were crap for CAP. The Super Hornet is probably what they should have been but I'd still rather have modernized versions of the Old Guard
i thought the F/A-18E and F both had the exact same mission, or atleast were designed as such, the only difference was the F model would also be tasked with AFAC as it had 2 seats the WSO could lase and talk on the radios while the pilot flew and worried about threats; the F-35 is not replacing the super hornets unless something changes with the F/A-XX program as that is what is replacing them, i assume the growler will be flying for alot longer than the super hornets until they source a replacement for it if thats what they want to do edit: oh also the F cant be changed into the G model, even with a little bit of maintenance as the G replaces the gun with additional EW equipment, also dare say they have slightly different cockpits and vastly different wiring
alright. lots of love. Now why the hell is this mod not working for me??? i put it in the mod/aircraft folder where it is supposed to go..... as a video showed.
The back seater directs attacks against air to ground targets. The Growler can electronically crush any electronics out to 200+nm, including comms and digital networks. The advanced jamming systems are AI enhanced. The USAF is currently replacing the EF-111 with a highly modified Gulfstream G6 variant.

E models mission is mainly Air superiority, F models are missions focuses on ground strike(not training), hence the back seater is the WSO.
Growlers gun was removed cap, I think there’s more ew hardware where it was
That was a surprise to me.
@ the old prowler pods were omnidirectional so I’d be extremely surprised if the modern ones aren’t
Thanks!
Thanks
Fantastic to see the Boys in mission again, great work Cap thanks.
Great complex mission cap! Nice to see the whole crew up in the air!
slight correction, i know the RAAF fly the EA-18G to support their F35's, so assume the USAF would have them also
Roger
yes we have one half sized sqn (No6 Sqn) of Growlers only 12 airframes to support our 24 F18F Superhornets of No1 Sqn EDIT and we have 3sqn's (72 aircraft) of F35s..
@@Wolfe351we also have 12 F models wired ready to be converted to G models
The F/18 Growler replaced the EA-6B Prowler. My uncle use to fly the prowler until the Navy made him transition to the Growler
Simba he threw a fuel tank at you...careful 🤣🤣🤣
The ALQ-99 is being replaced by the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) which will be rated for supersonic flight
As for your questions about the Growler, the wingtip pods are AN/ALQ-218 wideband detection receivers while the electronic control boxes for them replaced the gun
Requesting 2030’s carrier battles in DCS plz. Things to consider:
-British aircraft will most likely be equipped with air-launched Spear 5 missiles while American aircraft will be equipped with HACM hypersonic cruise missiles (if no HACM mod exists, maybe modify the Spear 5 so its hypersonic instead of supersonic to simulate?)
-American AWACS will most likely have missiles specifically designed to shoot down anti-air missiles fired at them
-American stealth fighters will most likely be using new generation of stealth materials that not only reduce RCS but also reduce the IR signature
-possibility of the NGAD internally carrying HACM, LRASM, JASSM, and AIM-174B. Will also carry a large amount of ordnance internally
-NGAD has a high probability of sporting thrust vectoring nozzles to assist in general flight control due to lack of vertical tails with a knock-on effect of boosting its agility in visual range dogfighting. Also, due to it sporting adaptive cycle engines, it will have excellent thrust to weight ratios and therefore acceleration
-F-35’s have stealthy wingtip pylons for heat seeking missiles
-both American and Chinese carrier groups should be equipped with EA-18G Growler and the J-15D electronic warfare aircraft to aid in missile penetration as well as possibly defending against incoming missiles. NOTE: possibility of the naval NGAD replacing the EA-18G
-American (and possibly British) aircraft will be using a combination of towed electronic warfare decoys as well as BriteCloud electronic warfare decoys, making them much harder to hit than traditional self-defense jammers and chaff (don’t know about Chinese and Russian aircraft though) (if they’re not in the game or there’s no mod, maybe modify refueling hoses to have both decoy and jamming capability as well as a longer length, as well as miniature MALD’s for the BriteCloud?)
Thanks. Yes I've been considering 2030 battles for a while BUT there is a whole bunch of stuff that I need that I currently don't have, so at this rate it will be 2030 before I get to do it!
4:50 Weight and balance doesn't matter?? 🙃 (Both 2000-lb bombs on the left wing; both 500-lb bombs on the right)
Yes I can see why the boys were struggling with their formation flying today :)
I suspect the Air Force will spec out an F-15 EX Electronic Warfare. Maybe even a refueling variant
It's also so the backseater can take care of ground attack weapon systems and relieve some workload from the pilot, same like in f-15E vs C
This feels vaguely like a documentary starrinng Thomas Cruise.
I remember this doc!
See, I was thinking the same thing. So, I made a comment that said, "Cap, I'll be your Jizzo anytime," but Cap was less than enthusiastic and awkard, replying, "erm... thanks?"
I think I know what's going on here. I believe Cap just prefers being a back-seater Jizzo, and I should have stated he could be MY Jizzo anytime, just like the Iceman quote, "you can be my wingman any time."
Thank you for helping me mop up-wait, I mean, clearing this jizzo up. Giggity. 😁
Jamming Growlers, giggidy giggidy!
I must confess, that before seeing this video I didn't know jamming worked to much effectiveness within DCS.
The spinning blades, are a RCAF invention
Go RCAF!
Secondly: watching this refueling section gave me an idea: you mentioned human centipede. Just that: how many super hornets can refuel in a line with buddy tanks? Could be a bit of a fun challenge
Agreed.... annnnnd de-$.
@ probably, if “marketed” a the human centipede. Maybe like refueling snake or something?
This is for 39:20 😂😂😂
She does it all the time now. Pickles is becoming a giant knobhead.
@@grimreapers kitty Attention deficit disorder!!! my housemates cat will come and bug me when I am trying to do PC stuff......then wanders off once I have been distracted!! luckily the worst she does is leave fur on the carpet!!
@@grimreapers One of our cats likes to poop in the litter box while my partner is scooping it. She also likes to poop in the box where our bullying cat eats, though I also prep the food there and her poop is tied for the worst of our four cats. So I can totally relate with you, like why now of all times must you poop here?!
It reminds me of the blackbird mission where it made everyone mad
Bit of info on the growlers.
The RAAF also operates them.
There are modifications not shared with the f model.
A few visible differences are the pods on the wing tips and the aero fences on the wings which apparently provide more stability which helps accuracy of jamming.
They are also wired differently with extra harnesses and i believe computers and cooling.
Also they dont have a gun. The space was needed for computers i think
Also, those speed breaks are not strictly speed breaks.
Roger noted.
Guy in the back is an ECMO I believe.
Australia has the Supers and Growlers. .the asymmetric load-out is commonly seen. But the stores on the wing pylons don't point straight ahead...
And I HATE IT 😅
"Stop calling it a game, its a simulation" - Because real life has an F10 key.
I just checked and... real life does not have an F10, dam.
@@grimreapers Enough of this, crack a review of Current Hills latest Russian update, the TOS is a beast.
Well our air force has its own dedicated jammer like E767 and E707
Noted.
This was great! 😂 51:18 Strange gift to the locals
Don't you still have all your x-56 setup files from a couple of years ago? You made them public and apart from having the trim upside down, they were a pretty good starting point! I probably have the folder somewhere if you need it.
lol that's actually a very good point! Hope it still works.
Seems I need a new stick if Cap is struggling with an old stick, I’m using an X52 Pro which hasn’t had a lot of use but the spring just doesn’t give me the detail I need to fly effectively
Same :(
RAAF use the F as strike aircraft as a (arguably not very good) replacement for the F-111C. It takes a fairly extensive and expensive re-wire to get an F capable of being turned into a Growler.
the F-35 *could eventually replace Growlers, they've got most of the equipment installed to do most of the mission, albeit not purpose built for it, and obviously without the benefit of a back seat.
Hornet, flys like a butterfly and stings like a wasp on feckin steroids!
While ESGs don't really have much in the way of anti-shipping, it can carry up to 20 F-35Cs and some of them can carry AGM-158C (Might need to keep some for air-to-air too though)
I don't know if Sea Power is the right place to do this one (probably doesn't have the assets, since the Wasp and Admiral K are both post-1990), but you might be able to find the DCS assets.
Cap, I'll be your Jizzo anytime.
erm... thanks?
😁(Giggity)
My beautiful monkeys😂😂😂😂😂 51:24
Top Gear Top Tip: The X56 is not a great stick, get a VKB, WinWing, or Virpil, you'll love it.
Going down low on the growler lol
I realize that the Growler has more modern electronics but if you're flying into an environment with and unknown threat frequency, I rather have a Prowler with three trained EW NFOs taking on the new threat instead of one NFO.
I'm an old school Cold War carrier veteran. I miss the Tomcat, Intruder, and Prowlers so much. The early Hornets were crap for CAP. The Super Hornet is probably what they should have been but I'd still rather have modernized versions of the Old Guard
Growler has only one ECMO because a lot of the systems are now automatic, so the workload is lower, you don't need 3 people to fire a harm anymore
F18s sucking gas from F18s, I’m not even making this up….
I swear the F/A-18 is turning into the MiG-29 when it comes to it’s range
5 wet!
Growler pounding with big loads… mmmm who needs naughty bots 😝
i thought the F/A-18E and F both had the exact same mission, or atleast were designed as such, the only difference was the F model would also be tasked with AFAC as it had 2 seats the WSO could lase and talk on the radios while the pilot flew and worried about threats; the F-35 is not replacing the super hornets unless something changes with the F/A-XX program as that is what is replacing them, i assume the growler will be flying for alot longer than the super hornets until they source a replacement for it if thats what they want to do
edit: oh also the F cant be changed into the G model, even with a little bit of maintenance as the G replaces the gun with additional EW equipment, also dare say they have slightly different cockpits and vastly different wiring
Let's see what I can say about growlers without breaching the secrecy act....... they do lots of sexy stuff. 😂😂😂
lol
First off: super hornets!!!! 😍
Thanks for your vids, you are hilarious
Fantastic attention to detail in this simulation! Keep them coming cap 🫡
19:09 Never fall out once you’re in.
Violets voice is lil deeper than I remember or is this another violet? Who was the sweet voice girl?
Kortana....
Does the new inclusion of the Rhino/Growler assets mean that you’ll be redoing the near future simulations to include them?
I know this the us navy will only use growlers for demos at at air shows
Was that another Spaceballs film reference, Cap?
I saw a growler this morning in my bathroom
erm
alright. lots of love. Now why the hell is this mod not working for me??? i put it in the mod/aircraft folder where it is supposed to go..... as a video showed.
*Iran HAD S400 sites... Until recently
Comment for engagement
DCS has super hornet now?
Don’t the F-35s have complex sensors but also a lot of jamming capabilities
Can you please recommend me a module that’s not the F-18 and F-16?
The growler has no gun onboard.
I wonder if dcs is gonna make some corrections to actual performance of anti air systems based on real world performance in Ukraine/Russia conflict 🤔
I doubt it. Will almost certainly stick to basic wiki stats.
9:04 You're welcome.
Merci !
F-15D is combat coded.....it just hasnt have Jamming
The back seater directs attacks against air to ground targets. The Growler can electronically crush any electronics out to 200+nm, including comms and digital networks. The advanced jamming systems are AI enhanced.
The USAF is currently replacing the EF-111 with a highly modified Gulfstream G6 variant.
Not F6. EA-6
Really wish you would NOT call off the carrier landings! :/
