To be clear, we are being manipulated into sympathy for the death of a talented engineer. They are using this sympathy to gain money and positive publicity, from us while withholding information which is relevant to our decision making process. I don't like to be manipulated by having relevant information kept from me. Do you? That is why I am making this video.

He had health problems that led to seizures and took medication for it, he did not talk about it much which is not surprising as many people are embarrassed by their health conditions because of public ridicule from people like you and he was a neurodivergent which is not a medical term it is an umbrella that covers many medical terms his was likely high functioning autism based on his hyper fixation on things like hot ends and his very awkward public interactions using that Elon Musk style of talking were they seem like they are just talking straight from the brain with zero filter. I can tell by another comment that you don't respect people in that community. His family has no obligation to tell you how he died and if it was by suicide this video is just that much worse.
I find this video deeply offensive anyone who can talk this way about a person who is not around to defend themselves is not a good person and the fact you're doing it about a person who contributed so much to the open source side of this community you claim so much to respect shows what kind of person you are. I always thought you were a little arrogant and uppity but, that was fine it's when you make personal attacks about a person who has not wronged you in anyway and discredit his health conditions as non existent, as a person who also has autism and has plenty of awkward interactions that interview looked exactly like I do after multiple days with little sleep working on projects where my brain is barely running there are no drugs involved. If your brain was half as clever as Sanjay's maybe you could spend your time making something great instead of trying to tear down those that have. I'm happy most of the community is far nicer, accepting and respectful than you because you are by far the most arrogant, ignorant person I have ever come across in my decade following 3d printing.
RIP Sanjay you deserve a lot better than this.

This is the most reasonable rebuttal I've received. Which speaks volumes about how ill behaved "the community" is. I've pinned it in good faith because I want to see the conversation unfold. Let the truth be known. There is no shame in suffering from a neurodegenerative condition which is beyond your control. They should not be sending soldiers like you to defend his memory if this is the case. They should publicize the facts. Why not make the non-profit focused on research for a cure to his condition instead of some vague meaningless "neurodivergent" claim?

    • @thirtythreeeyes8624

@@DesignPrototypeTest The idea that neurodivergent people need to be cured is part of the problem, for many it is part of what makes them who they are. We don't want to be cured and based on the science there is no cure for most of it anyway it is a fundamental difference in how the brain has been wired, this can be biological or even environmental in some cases or a combination of the two. Even if it could be cured it would probably not be wise for humanity to do so, many of our greatest inventors have been neurodivergent in some way Elon Musk for instance has autism, it wasn't well understood at the time but, Nikola Tesla spent his final days in love with a pigeon that sounds pretty autistic to me he also had ocd about the number 3, Da Vinci and many other polymaths throughout history were also likely some form of neurodivergent.

The reason they use "neurdiverse" is that they want to help more poeple than just the small subset who have what Sanja had. 15%-20% of UK children are nurodivergent where 1%-2% are Autisic.

I think there is not much reasoning to do here...seeing the videos over the last years, I think he is now believing in conspiracy due to his frustrations with what he sees as people stealing his ideas or try to silence him...
I see a lot of big warnings in a lot of the things he says like "They should not be sending soldiers like you to defend his memory". I really don't think he understands that people might care. That's really concerning to me as he seemed to have a great scientific mind and used to love his old videos and way of thinking but now taking chat GPT as a source or believing into all the other conspiracies including subtext of anti vax...really scary to see a good man fall like that. I hope he'll get support. And regarding neurodivergent...maybe chat GPT was not able to find it but might be good looking at the UK health care provider NHS...
And you are not "just asking the questions", you're stirring sh*t and spilling hate and digging your own hole of conspiracies. Yes you might have been wronged by some people but your community would be happy to support your for your next great ideas...me first

@@gillou4382 I heard a great quote recently "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity." no offense to DPT, although this video certainly seems malicious I don't think he is inherently a bad person or that he wants to disrespect the dead he just has a very negative way of approaching things and doesn't appear to think about things from outside his own perspective. Like to you or me it might be obvious that a family doesn't feel the need to publicize the cause of death for a person who kept their health conditions and life in general very private but, to him he didn't even appear to know about any health conditions and over the past few years I've noticed he's soured towards "the community" just the way he talks about them like it's a negative thing to have a close knit group that is loyal and defends each other.
For DPT his first thought appears to be attribute everything to malice and it's likely spread to more than just the 3d printing community for him I know people like this in real life and I feel sorry for them they think everyone is out there to attack them and in that thinking end up going around attacking everyone themselves.

@@DesignPrototypeTestConsidering your complete lack of social sense it's quite clear that you've got a significant neurodivergence dictating your actions. I don't expect you to be able to integrate this input since you're fundamentally incapable of doing so. But what I will share with you, as fact, is that hundreds, perhaps thousands, of commentors, see what you clearly don't: that you have vast and incredibly deep baggage that guides your every word. There's an old joke that really illustrates this concept.
An old woman, watching the news, sees a live shot of a car going the wrong way down the highway, causing a ruckus and accidents left and right. She realizes it's happening on the highway her husband uses to drive home every day. In a panic, she calls her husband. He answers, and she says, "Honey! Be careful! There's this crazy driver going the wrong way down the highway!!!!"
To which he replies: "I know!! It's not just one; they're all going the wrong way!!!"
      You're him.
      You're that old dude.
The reason you're losing subscribers on RUclips is not because E3D has some underlying power.
It's because you're ridiculous. Take ownership of it, and your own baggage.
You're a smart person. Please use your intelligence to do something productive. How? I'll help you define what's NOT productive. Any time you feel that there's a conspiracy happening.... you're wrong. You're succumbing to primal fear, and a dysfunctional mind. Please, please try to rise above it. You can do this by giving up your baseless assuredness that you're right. You're not. You're absolutely wrong, and numerous people in the comments who are in fact smarter than you will be able to cleanly apply logic to demonstrate this.
The way you bounce from topic to topic is honestly reminiscent of schizophrenia, which I'm familiar with because I've seen it firsthand in my family; and you're displaying the initial symptoms of it. Sadly, I know you won't be receptive to this comment, and you will try to refute this with week arguments which everyone but you can see right through. I know you won't be able to absorb the fundamental truths in my words because I've been through this before.
PS: There are absolutely well-established "litmus" tests for neurodivergence in the psychology world, and it behooves you to read up on this before making ridiculous claims about it.

It is highly likely that making fun of someone who committed suicide to attack their family and friends would violate RUclips's Community Guidelines on multiple levels. Here's why:
Hate Speech: Mocking someone for their suicide could be considered hate speech directed at a vulnerable group, which is explicitly prohibited.
Harassment and Cyberbullying: Targeting individuals with hurtful content based on a deeply personal experience like suicide constitutes harassment and cyberbullying, both of which are against RUclips's policies.
Harm and Violence: Content that incites or glorifies violence, even indirect violence like emotional harm, is not allowed on RUclips.
Content that Exploits, Abuses, or Endangers Children: While this policy may not directly apply in this case, it highlights the platform's general stance against content that could cause emotional distress to vulnerable individuals.
Additionally, creating content that attacks grieving family and friends is insensitive and could further exacerbate their pain.
Therefore, it's highly likely that such content would be flagged and removed by RUclips, and the creator could face penalties like channel strikes or even termination.
Instead of focusing on attacking individuals, it's important to remember that suicide is a serious issue with complex causes. If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts, please reach out for help. There are many resources available, including the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline in the US: 988.
Remember, words can have a lasting impact, so choose them wisely and use your platform for positive influence.

Sanjay was a school teacher for a while. I know this as I was in his engineering class. I wondered what the man was up years after the fact and this is the first video i found - very disappointed in this video. The pinned comment from @thirtythreeeeyes8624 is fair and reflects how, it seems, most of the people commenting feel.
Mr Mortimer (as I knew him) was a really nice guy. Good sense of humour. Having spent 10s of hours around him, he did not show signs of being high or hungover at work. He always dressed the same way, though sharper than the last video ive since watched. He did not leave his teaching position under dark clouds so questions of inappropriateness, drugs etc would be plain wrong.
Even so, we have no place to know how he passed. Its a very personal affair for his closest friends and family and as such this video and its conjectures seemed very, very poor taste.
I've got to say, you seem like a very jaded man. I don't know you had beef with Sanjay, but I can understand from your tone why he might have it with you. From what I can see, you're a very competent man which good tech skills - stick to making tech videos and perhaps you'll keep an audience instead of losing them (as you admit to in the video).
Best of luck in the future. Hope you consider this, though I suspect you shan't given your engagement with other comments.

Is it possible that he became a drug user after you knew him? His lifestyle would have changed dramatically going from being a starving academic to being the head of a multi-million £, multi-national 3D printer manufacturing network. He would be going to many social events surrounded by other high rollers in a competitive atmosphere.
In my experience with such people you must keep the positivity going. Being a debbie-downer is a one-way ticket out of the banquet. It's social s-icide. Coke is the preferred drug of the "upper class" in these situations so that they can maintain their social standing and continue to occupy their desirable seat at the table.
What you are testifying to is his ability to be a functional member of society. Have you heard of the term "functional alcoholic?" It's possible to be at the top of your profession and still be completely chemically dependent.
I'm curious to know what he taught you and in which institution? I'm assuming he was a teacher's aid to a university class you took. Am I right?
As to your assertion that Sanjay's death is "Its a very personal affair for his closest friends and family." You are wrong. It would be if he had quietly passed and they had a private ceremony and grieved away from the public eye. That's not what they did. Instead they continually remind us that he died. They use his name to generate interest in their foundation (NOT SANJAY'S FOUNDATION BECAUSE HE NEVER HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT WHEN HE WAS ALIVE) and to make money. Lot's of money. So, I will again make it clear that I am doing nothing wrong. It is perfectly reasonable for me to ask the question of how he died, and since they won't tell us (A lie of omission is a lie. They are therefore lying to us about it.) I am socially justified in speculating.
Quoting you "Best of luck in the future." As Bob Dylan said:
You say, “How are you?” “Good luck”/But you don’t mean it/When you know as well as me/You’d rather see me paralyzed/Why don’t you just come out once/And scream it
I REALLY despise people who attack me while pretending like that's not what they are doing. Weasel/snake like behavior that. Just say what you mean. You've made an emotional decision that I am the bad guy and you want to say something nasty to me. Just do it. Stop being a weak-ass coward.

@@DesignPrototypeTest ill respond to each paragraph though itll be my last engagement with the channel. Im sure you wouldnt accept my subscription even if i gave it. Again, you look to be a skilled man and its great to see someone put their passion to the internet for the world to see. I hope you continue with that.
      1) during, actually. The fact you werent even aware of this his career directions shows you perhaps didnt know the man as well as your jaded attitude suggests, so perhaps pause for thought is appropriate.
      2) perhaps being a 'debbie-downer' and drugs is a way, or perhaps it was the health condition the pinned comment told you about. Instead of making spiralling assertions about a man who you evidently didnt know, please reflect on how the vast majority of the comment section is raising your video was bad taste (instead of forming antagonist profiles of them in your head and insulting them all).
      3) I dont believe so. My line of work now aligns closely with diagnosing such signs and I dont believe they were there. Of all points to make though that was your firmest and a potential fair one to make in trying to understand ones circumstance before passing.
      4) incorrect. again, another assertion about a man you evidently didnt know or even bother to look into. Please reflect.
      5) Its common to not know how someone passed. Im glad the foundation is making a lot of money. It evidently showed a lot of people either knew him or liked him. Ill likely make a donation myself having known the guy. I dont know quite what the line of logic of Man Dies > Foundation Made > Foundation makes money > Ergo we should no how he died. Death circumstance is not an unlockable feature for any other foundation. As ever and always, a passing should always be a private affair. If you had passed and a foundation was made, I would have no right to know of the circumstances either. Please, just reflect.
6/7) Nice Dylan quote there. Again, as you have with every other commenter, you form an antagonistic profile assuming all them to have negative motive, then you insult them on that basis. I've not made an emotional decision you are a bad guy, but based it off of your behaviour and insulting nature around a man you evidently never knew at all. If being a coward to you means i dont through insults back, then so be it. I didnt realise 'strength' meant making a poor taste video and then insulting all those in the comments who called it for what it was. Please, again, just take a moment.

I was just watching a video by Vector3D that I got in my recommendations and was confused as to how such a person could have died so young, so I looked it up and eventually came across your video.
While I think it's a bit wrong to hide the reason for someone's death, it's really the family's decision whether to do that or not.
About the foundation not writing anything about the reason either, I think that it's generally fine. Actually, I didn't even think of the situation the way you described it in the video ("profiting from someone's death, etc.").
To me it looks like something made for the sole purpose they describe, so it could have been made when he was alive. I think neurodivergent people face a lot of challenges in life, so such a foundation with their goals is good either way (and it could always be named after him because he was neurodivergent).
But the whole "vibe" of the video just seems so wrong and even hostile in some parts...
Maybe you weren't disrespectful to him directly, but the guessing game format, the "built different" part, etc. just seem so unexpected and wrong in a video talking about someone who died.
Also, I've read all the comments, so I generally understand your point of view, but I think that the use of the word "neurodivergent" is a correct choice by the foundation to describe these people. Listing all the exact diagnoses is quite limiting and would be a bit, uhh... I don't know how to explain it exactly... Less friendly?
Also, while reading your comments, I noticed that you really dislike "the community" and think that they literally send people to comment on your videos and stuff. I think that's a very bad way of looking at things (that everyone who doesn't agree with you is just there to attack you somehow), people just have opinions too, you know?
And I'm glad to see that most people here are at least more understanding than you...
English isn't my first language, so I'm sorry if I haven't been able to explain my feelings about this very well, it's just a bit hard.

If they made a big fuss about the way he died and squeezed tears from people eyes with that , that would have meant using his name in dishonesty. I stumbled across this video (and your channel) after first hearing Sanjay's name about 15 minutes prior, so I'm not going to comment on the main point of the video; I don't have nearly enough information to have an opinion.
With all that said, I do have one major critique: did you really use ChatGPT as a source at 17:30, and just... believe it? Chat is a generative model: literally its entire purpose is to make stuff up. From the icon, that even appears to be ChatGPT 3.5, which is even worse with hallucinations than version 4 is. ChatGPT 3.5 is also highly suggestible and will go along with basically anything you tell it, so phrasing the question as "did this very specific thing happen?" is obviously very likely to get "yes" as a response. If you actually google whether the Beatles hired people to scream at their concerts, the general consensus is "no, of course not". In fact, they stopped touring entirely partially because of the frustrating experience of being unable to hear themselves play over the screams. And they absolutely have not "acknowledged this in interviews and in their autobiographies" as Chat wildly claims. I could barely even find any sources making the claim that they did hire screamers, outside of one Quora user asking a question about it, which was soundly refuted by everyone who answered it.
Please learn to use actual sources for your information, rather than trusting a bot that is universally known for making up answers and blithely agreeing with insane premises handed to it.

Just a guy drinking a beer wondering about the truth which is being hidden from him. Judging from the comments there are a lot of others who have the same question. Are they angry as well? Why are so many people angry about this?

He wouldn’t accept that they had issues with it due to the difference in thermal expansion that ultimately led to the design decision. He had some conspiracy in his head about the whole thing. He complained a lot on that one.

Hey, that was an interesting watch but not necessarily for the reasons you intended.
Context: I'm late self-diagnosed ADHD with high correlation on the traits associated, who just spent a year working on myself, very encouraged by the results. I also built a neurodivergent community and talked to a lot of people that way.
First, I would also prefer that the cause of death would be shared because a lot of neurodivergent diagnosis and upbringings associated can lead to crippling amounts of shame. Often a solution is education and transparency which are lacking here. For many neurodivergent folks, truthfulness is valued way above average, therefore obscuring what actually happened is somewhat counterproductive to the goals of the foundation, declaring it as shameful like you pointed out.
Still, the real world has a lot of prejudice and it's understandable that the family chose to not to share that info.
I was surprised you misunderstood what neurodivergent means tho. Neurodivergent is an umbrella term for anybody with an official or suspected ADHD/ASD/Bipolar/Dyslexia (and many more) diagnosis: differences in mind and perception primarily driven by neurological differences, not just upbringing or trauma.
It was my assumption that you knew about that prior because in my mind it's pretty obvious that you are as well. My guess for you is on the autism spectrum combined with being gifted / pretty high IQ and probably a few other things. You seem to hyper fixate on stuff which drives your creativity but also leads you down some rabbit holes. You exhibit or engage with some paranoia as well but it seems mostly driven in a search for truth and accuracy.
Then another significant one is your habit to say stuff that's considered undesirable or insensitive as long as you think it needs to be said, even if it gets you a lot of negative feedback or hate.
I mean it's all neurodivergent traits so... Welcome I guess 😆
I can only encourage you to dig a little to understand what's happening with you. For most people of the spectrum, it's pretty hard to be told consistently that they're selfish, assholes, arrogant etc when they're just themselves trying to do the right thing.
Figuring out the what and why can help finding tools to handle interactions snd emotions a lot more effectively, feeling better overall and that's what I wish for you.

@@DesignPrototypeTest the "don't we all" is an intriguing question IMO, because most neurodivergent people are often surrounded by others as well. It's the people we found interesting, can connect with. Neurotypical appear "boring", have weird conventions, reject, shun or bully neurodivergent often.
I agree ND is a high percentage and it's all spectrums, but it's not everybody.
Interesting you looked into ADHD/ASD diagnosis already. Be aware that high IQ often masks and prevents identification of both since the diagnosis criteria are based on how bad it cripples your life which is a bummer.

I was not going to post on the actual content of this video and I have not watched the entire video, but I reconsidered and just want to chime in with this:
I didn't know Sanjay personally and only saw some videos with him where he seemed very focussed on his 3D-printing work - and maybe was a bit too energetic. I don't want to speculate on what that meant or what demons he was battling. Most of us have some demons and address them in various ways - some better than others, some can get by on their own, some need help and some don't get that help or might not accept it. The bottom-line remains that if someone who was this passionate about his job and our hobby falls away, we all lose and those close to him the most. That deserves reflection and support, not Trump-like bashing.

Sanjay's team has been beating up on me for 7 years. Do you expect me to have sympathy? "The Community" is a cabal. I am banned from attending RMRRF. What possible justification is there for that except that I am not in their club and I speak out against their club. Like a totalitarian government, dissent is not tolerated. What makes their club so good that we must protect it? Why must we glorify Sanjay in his death when he probably died because of shameful actions on his part? "3D printing needs him and his influence will be missed." Really? In the vector 3D video he even said that he was removing himself from all functional aspects of the company except publicity. So he couldn't have been that important to E3D from an engineering, design and production standpoint. Even if he was, slice engineering makes better hotends. The difference is slice engineering isn't partnered with Prusa and It doesn't have a militant group of fanboys attacking anyone who speaks badly of the company. With E3D, Prusa, "The Community" and Sanjay it's more of a popularity contest than real value provided. I don't feel bad that he died. I didn't know the guy and I reached out trying to be friends multiple times when he was alive only to receive crickets. Meanwhile, he did a very long interview with 3D Print General who was a similar sized channel to mine at the time. All this because I criticize Prusa, their king. If you cross Prusa, you will receive the same treatment no matter how valuable your contribution may be to 3D printing. Popularity & politics; Sanjay was no martyr.

You accuse me of "lashing out" because you are incapable of admitting the wrongness being perpetrated by my detractors. Yes. Sanjay's mother directly asked me to not pursue the cause of his death. HOWEVER, she already knows how he died. How does denying me that knowledge further the injury to her of losing her son? Also, she is part of the foundation SELLING me on donating to it by using his death to evoke sympathy. They are the ones continuing to put his death into the sphere. I'm not the one who brought it up. So you want Sanjay's death to be a subject of conversation as long as we don't talk about what caused his death. Do you even hear yourself? Stop being emotionally defensive and think about this logically.

  • @Jared23811
    @Jared23811 8 месяцев назад +3

In the UK, being referred to an inquest just means it was an unexpected death. It doesn't matter whether someone was hit by a car, had a sudden heart attack, committed suicide or or anything else along those lines there will likely be an inquest. It's not at all suspicious or unusual and the only situation where Sanjay's death wouldn't be referred I can think of would be if he had a terminal illness known by his doctors and his death was expected.
You're also assuming the death was "shameful" without merit. It's entirely conceivable Sanjay's family initially did not know of the cause of death, and it's also possible the post mortem (autopsy) was inconclusive. Medical science isn't perfect and every year there are a number of deaths in young people with no obvious pathology. Real life isn't a movie.
I do think there is some hypocrisy from the SMRRF. It's reasonable to expect privacy following a loved ones death, but it's hypocritical to expect that and to want to create a foundation in his name at the same time. Nothing wrong with the latter but wanting a foundation in his memory and wanting everyone to ignore the elephant in the room how he died is only going to lead to speculation and videos like this.
To put it succinctly, be open. If you don't know how he died, tell us. If he committed suicide, say it. There is a lot of stigma around mental health and this secretive approach only adds to it - the exact opposite of what a foundation ought to do.

    • @DesignPrototypeTest
      @DesignPrototypeTest  8 месяцев назад

I like you. You think for yourself. Good point about the inquest. However, I'm going to stick to my guns. The Vector3D guy knows something. He (or possibly the person that left it) deleted the comment to which Sanjay was responding. Allegedly (like I said in the video) it inferred the possibility that Sanjay was on drugs. That is hearsay and I don't know it for a fact. The known fact is that the original comment is no longer present. So evidence is actively being removed? Again, what are they trying to hide? It must be something damaging. Most likely something shameful. Nobody goes to any effort to scrub benign things off the internet.
I'm not the first person to ask this question. If the cause of death was unknown, there's no reason they wouldn't just say "We don't know how he died." Why are they instead stonewalling and maintaining radio silence on this question? Obviously they don't want people to know. Why wouldn't they want people to know? Because it's damaging. There are a couple ways that it could be damaging, but none of them are likely except the shamefulness answer. For example, if he had been murdered by someone close to him, that would have made the news and would easily appear on a Google search.
Another clue that leads to the drugs answer which I did not discuss in the video is the fact that the Vector 3D video has Sanjay saying he is stepping away from all his roles at E3D except the publicity thing. Why would the founder of a company stop being involved in that company except as the public face? Why would he allow himself to become a figurehead instead of continuing to run the thing that he created? One possible answer is because he was no longer capable of fulfilling his duties because he was a drug addict.
I have an open mind and I am still considering all possibilities but nothing that I've seen yet disabuses me of the idea that a drug overdose is Sanjay's most likely cause of death.

I don’t find it hypocritical. Why does ones death matter despite being tied to some shameful personal matter, in the grand scheme of a lifetime of contributions? If a family wants to hide a cause of death and start a foundation, that’s their prerogative. If you don’t want to donate to a foundation that’s hiding a cause of death, that’s your prerogative. Should we force foundations to reveal the deceased’s browser history too just in case they were looking at anything “shameful” in their life?

    • @Jared23811
      @Jared23811 8 месяцев назад

@refusalspam A very spurious analogy. I've no reason to be interested in Sanjay's browser history, but I can see why some would be curious on why he died. He was a young and healthy man who was the founder of a successful company before he died suddenly. If you can't see that you're not being honest.
At no point did I say the foundation should be forced to do anything. For the record I think they're allowed to be hypocritical.. But they can't be surprised creating a foundation about remembering an individual will lead to speculation and rumour on how he died, which people should equally be entitled to do without harassment or abuse.

    • @refusalspam
      @refusalspam 8 месяцев назад +1

@@Jared23811 you misunderstood my point. You claimed there was hypocrisy because cause of death was not revealed. That is inherently your way of forcing upon the foundation a moral/ethical requirement is it not? Otherwise what are you saying? I also never said I wasn’t curious about his death. I’m curious about lots of things but that doesn’t mean that I’m entitled to that information and it doesn’t mean that the holder of that information is morally corrupt for not providing it to me.
Haven’t we all done something shameful in our own lives? Suppose Sanjay did all those things (maybe attempted suicide instead of succeeded) but instead of succumbing to death from those acts he happened to die from a stroke instead and the family merely reported the truth that the death was from a stroke without revealing any of the shameful non causes of death. Is the foundation/family now 100% hypocrisy free?

Fanboy of Prusa? No.. I have not looked at what Prusa has been offering for years; I was put off by the premium price and a frame held together by zip ties... I bought an Ender3 when they first came out... Ender fan boy, yeah that is me, the underdog and all that...
Fanboy of E3D? I bought an AeroTitan direct drive extruder to improve my Ender3... It still works today and was part of "pimping" up my Ender3 from an unreliable printer to something which worked reliably and fast... So E3D fanboy? I am happy with what I purchased years ago, and am happy now..
Fanboy of DesignPrototypeTest? - Well, I have been a patron of Patrion for you for years... I doubt you remember, but when you were first getting annoyed by Prusa, we talked via email/messages, and I told you to just ignore them and do what you did great, 3D printer tests, designing improved parts for them, making the parts, and showing the whole process in your videos... But, this video has disappointed me..

      Suicide.
I was married for 17 years, the last 3 of those years my wife had a lifestyle that I did not approve of, but she was having the time of her life, and you can't control someone, so I had to decide if I should get out, or carry on hurting... So for the last 3 years we were separated... It was obvious that things were not going to change, she had boyfriends and was still having the time of her life... So it was time to file for a divorce.. She seemed totally fine about that, and continued having the time of her life...
A couple of months later she committed suicide.. I had to tell our three sons, the youngest was 15 years old. You have a Son, how do you tell your own sons that their mum did something like that? How do you think that her family were towards me? the evil guy who was divorcing their sister or daughter? Yeah I was hated, like you feel hated... Yeah I was even accused of being a murderer and loads of other things.. Everyone can have a low point, it could be chemical, environmental, or mental... But when it happens, all kinds of people commit suicide, it is not shameful, its really sad that a fellow human, whoever they are, should feel compelled to end their life, often thinking that nobody would miss them... It has been 14 years, my sons and I missed her and still do... Does anyone really care? No, but it is still not nice to make light of this situation in public or published where those that are hurting, could find that published video, text now or in the future, and not everyone who misses Sanjay will be anything to do with that foundation... I am sure you know that deep down.

      Neurodiversity.
If you want to call yourself a Dingleberry or a PrintNinja, that is your God-given right. God bless your Dingleberry soul.
I am 52 years old, and I have spent my life beating myself up about why I struggled to do some simple things that most people seem to do without a care in the world.
At school the teachers would put in my reports "He knows the subject inside and out, but will not put in down onto paper", meanwhile whenever I tried to write, despite having good handwriting, being able to read and write, holding the pencil or pen and writing would require all my energy, as holding that pen or pencil and writing, was as difficult as deciding to plunge your hand into a pile of red hot coals. The same invisible force, like self-preservation with the coals, would be fighting me every step of the way... Yet when at home, I could write, draw, and paint without issue.
A few months ago I was diagnosed as having ADHD-Inattentive type.
I have always had lots of issues with my executive function, most of which are some of the classic ADHD symptoms, everything in my memory is active like an ongoing thought, all at the same time, while everything my senses are receiving are also maintained as constant thoughts, my mind is like a 100 lane highway... Directed at the right subject is a superpower, but directing it is difficult due to ADHD... Anything can distract me, and getting back on task is so hard, but if I get too hyper-focus, I can achieve amazing things... That is why I have a successful business, but it has not been easy.
In ADHD, the A is for attention, and the first D is for deficit... My problem is not and many people with ADHD is not an attention deficit; quite the opposite, we often can not turn off our attention, to the fly buzzing in the room, the dog down the road barking, the creaking of the chair, every noise in the background is getting our attention and distracting us from what we are trying so hard to do... the A and D do not sit will many with ADHD.
The H is for Hyperactive... That is a joke. I have never been hyperactive. you do not need to be hyperactive to be diagnosed with ADHD, so the H does not sit well with about 50% of people with ADHD.
And the last D, Disorder... Oh, brilliant; everyone wants to have a disorder, don't they?
Then there is Inattentive We are inattentive to what we should be doing... But that is because we are overly attentive to everything that most people can block out, like that fly buzzing around, or any of the background noise, or something that we notice on our desk that maybe needs dealing with... So ADHD people generally are not happy with that other label.
Our problem is how our brain is wired, combined with it not producing much in the way of dopamine or norepinephrine, which "Neurotypical" people do not have a lack of, and their brain is wired in the Neurotypical way... You could say "Normal people" but then that means we (ADHD people) are "not normal", so we often prefer to think of ourselves as "Neuro-Diverse" and the general masses as being "Neuro-Typical", it is a bit better than the ADHD tag which does not fit "who we are" or the Normal or Wonky, which is not great for any form of self-esteem... Just like you can call yourself Dingleberry, Matt or even Joeline if you wish, ADHD sufferers and other forms of non-mental brain disorders like to use the "Neuro-diverse" tag... So yeah, your comments about Neuro-diverse not being a thing are a bit like you saying the Black Panthers were not a thing and their struggle was not a thing; saying that in the wrong place in the 1960s could have been dangerous and provocative and so if what you said.... enough said...

As a British person I get it, but this whole Foundation thing might be misunderstood by some.
In the UK, if you die, and your estate (assets, cash in bank, your house, anything you own, including your business gets valued) and then the government, if your estate is valued over £325000 (less than the average 2 bedroom house) then everything above that amount is taxed at 40%, with something called death duties.
If you own a business, and the tax office look at it and think "Hmm, turnover last year was £6,000,000, the profit last year was £3,000,000, the assets are £75k in equipment, and there is £100k in the bank..." they may decide that that business is worth £10,175,000 (for example) and the amount over the £325k is divided 60% for the beneficiaries of the estate, and 40% to the tax man... The tax man will want that 40% pronto, not as a share in the business, or over time, but 40% of the taxable death duty amount, into their bank, "by friday, thank you very much...."
As a side note, this was something the UK developed after WW1 or WW2, as lots of Lords with lots of land and estates had gone off to war as officers, and when they did not come back, they could seize their estates, which was handy for cash flow after that expensive war business!
So that business either needs a buyer to pay the market value or down to the amount the tax man wants. With only £100k in the bank, and the dead owner or part owner not having a right to take it to pay the tax man, otherwise, of course, they would have to pay income tax on it (probably), and even selling the £75k in equipment assets will not cover the 40%. So there is then a problem.
But if the person who died loved the company he founded, and his family knew that, and knew that the employees of that company were like the dead person's second family, they might do something else.
If the beneficiary is a trust, a foundation, or a charity, call it what you want, but the tax man does not get a right to 40% of it, the company the dead person founded can continue running, if it makes a profit, the foundation will get some money as dividends, if the company does not do so well, the foundation can invest its money into the company, either in the interests of raising money, even if raising that money is to fund the companies R&D to further the state of the art with 3D printing, or anything... But that foundation, ideally, needs to be seen as trying to raise money, like a raffle, a bring-and-buy sale, or the usual things charities or foundations do... Even holding a 3D printing event. It does not matter if the fundraising turns a profit. If the Foundation is actively raising money, and donating it to somewhere for some greater good (no matter what it is) they are a charity, the tax man gets no death duties and E3D continue trading, Sanjay's second family, the employees of E3D continue to do what they love, and Sanjay loved.
I do not know if this is what is going on, but as someone who owns a business, and understands their own mortality, and does not want their tiny or large empire to be dismantled just because they died, it is a common mechanism to allow the company to continue trading after they have died, and hopefully continue doing so... Effectively Sanjay will have left his interest in the company, to the company, but in a way that the company does not have to find 40% of its own value to give to the tax man as a death duty, and all they need to do, to make this work, is account for things in the right way... So I don't think this is shameful, just someone who spent much of his life trying to build something, and there is a way to ensure it does not die, just because they do.
So I see the foundation as a mechanism to allow E3D to not be forced into being sold or closed down, just to pay the tax man some death duties... But until the coroner's inquest has concluded their business and the estate is put through a process called probate (making sure all debts are paid and the tax man has valued the assets), the foundation will not have any of Sanjay's money, or assets, so they may even have needed to fundraise with the 3D printing fair just to raise the money to pay the lawyers to form the foundation and get it rolling... Who knows about the ins and outs, but the foundation is not something that I think is anything odd or evil.
I, too, was seriously curious about what happened to Sanjay. You can bet that as soon as the coroner's court concludes the inquest, everyone will know exactly what the findings were. None of it is kept secret; it is all on public record here in the UK.

So... Suicide... I might be overly sensitive because of my past... But no need to be a Dingleberry.
Neurodiversity... If the survivors of the Nazis decide to call it a holocaust, they deserve to call it what they want, and if more than a couple of people with neurological abnormalities decide to refer to themselves as Neurodiverse, then who is anyone to dictate that there is no such thing.
One other thing... If Sanjay had a problem that was treated with drugs similar to ADHD meds, also used for a number of other conditions, then in the event of his death, even if he died putting a sexual organ into a toaster, he would have not only a potentially suspicious death (unless he was a politician of course) but also would be likely to have traces of chemicals in his blood, which would be identified as potentially street drugs, such as Speed, Cocaine or Meth Amphetamines... For example, if I was drug tested, whoever tested me would think I take Amphetamines when in reality, I take prescription ADHD medication... But likewise, some people with ADHD choose to not pay a psychiatrist each month for a meeting and getting a prescription, and instead buy Speed or Cocaine, which will do the same thing (which is the opposite effect these drugs have on a neurotypical person)
This last thing would cause the Coroner, even if he had evidence that Sanjay was diagnosed with something needing medicine which would give similar results as an illegal drug, to run additional tests get statements from the drug manufacturers to confirm the chemical analysis of his blood results match the expectations the manufacturer would have for the same tests with their drugs.
I know you have pride and would never admit it, but this video is not really fair to the people who are grieving for Sanjay. they almost certainly have nothing to do with a foundation, and I think you must know that deep down.
The digs at Neuro-Diversity - Going for a debate with people who might be insulted because they suffer from something like that is a bit like kicking a puppy that has no legs; you must know that is not right, don't you?

2)His intentions for 3D printing while he was alive have no bearing of what is being done in his name after his death.
3)Neurodivergent is not a thing. It is a meaningless word. He might as well just have claimed to be 'brain special' or 'thinky different.' Did he have autism? Did he have ADHD? These are medical terms that can be diagnosed by a professional. They mean something. The fact that neither he nor his foundation used these terms but instead relied on vague bull**** language shows there's nothing of substance to the claim. Bull**** deserves mockery.

If you believe that E3D are actually wrongdoing by setting up a charity in Sanjays name then why dont you privately go to the UK Charity Commission and make your enquiries with them? See that process through and then make a video if the charity commission reports wrongdoing. Even better if the commission come back saying everything is above board, perhaps issue a public apology video?
Google "Captain Tom" & you'll see that the UK charity commission does actually investigate thoroughly, accusations of wrongdoing.

It might not be popular but you are voicing what many have been thinking, and those getting their underwear in a bunch about asking valid questions need to get a life. It is a "coroner" in the UK who carries out an investigation which is called an inquest and an inquest is called for under the following circumstances, A coroner must hold an inquest if: the cause of death is/was unknown. the person might have died a violent or unnatural death. the person might have died in prison or police custody.

    • @kustomzone
      @kustomzone 8 месяцев назад

A previous commenter had it as 'unexpected' which aligns with NZ law whereby the police must report every suspected suicide to the coroner. If it seems that the person took their own life, there has to be a coroner's inquiry as a matter of procedure. Moreover, we have laws against public reporting on suicides. Only since 2016 is it legal (in NZ) to report, broadcast or even post on the internet that a death is a suspected suicide before the coroner releases their finding. Posting any details about the method is still not allowed. One could imagine the family abiding to a framework of not commenting on the cause until the coroner's finding is released as following best practice in such circumstance as may be revealed in due course.

I know you probably received hate for this, but you're just saying what everyone has probably contemplated at some point. There is no shortage of Google searches on the topic by other people. I also think this whole neurodivergent stuff is bogus. There is a test called the Myers-Briggs, and it helps identify who you are. I am indeed an INTJ to the max, which comprises less than 10% of the population, along with two or three other personality types that are also rarer than the others. It's a lonelier existence for sure. I think that crowd has now created their own self-diagnosis for why they don't fit, not understanding that not fitting in is OK and normal. But now, everyone wants to both 'fit in' and 'be different', and not face any consequences or judgement from the crowd they want to fit in with. Want to pick your nose in public? You can; you're just neurodivergent! It's getting out of control.
I find many of your views to be spot on. In a world where thinking outside the box and pondering the whys and what-ifs is refreshing, it's great to see someone willing to 'take the arrows' for what the 'shooters' themselves are trying to Google privately anyway. I suffer from bouts of depression, and knowing what happened helps me understand the world better. I had a coworker who was an engineer; he came to work one night and killed himself. He was successful, yet I still don't know why to this day. Understanding these situations better can help us keep an eye on possible prevention in ourselves and others. I am thankful for his energy (sanjay) and contributions, and the secrecy around his passing makes it seem as though something extremely unflattering happened. This is a form of the 'Streisand effect' in play, and perhaps some well-worded transparency statement is due, assuming the situation of his passing is at least understandable in modern times (addiction, suicide). Take care and never stop being a nonconformist. The world always needs the other side of the coin, even if it's brutal. We always have the option to not watch/listen.

You already know it's not a thing though. You're just trying to use it to get under my skin trying to get me to prove myself to you. I don't need to prove anything. You are beneath me. The only reason I engage with you is educational. I have this avuncular character flaw the compels me. I want to show you why you are wrong. Just so I understand, for educational purposes, a google search constitutes "research"? Folks that actually do research for a living do not use Google search as evidence. They rely on peer reviewed publications, especially for complex topics such as this. Google search results are a function of how the question is asked and previous search history. For example, you googled "is neurodivergence a medical term?". That is very, very different than asking if neurodivergence is "real" or "fake". Because it can be equally true that neurodivergence is a non-medical term and yet still exists. Your argument holds the burden of truth in demonstrating that only one can be true. Thus your conclusions based on the google search are at best misleading, and at worst attacking the straw man.
This partially compelled me to ask whether you were classically trained in psychoanalysis. Since, unless I am wrong, it seems that you were providing a psychoanalysis on SJM. And while you do not need to provide your bona fides because you "do not need to prove anything" to me, not being a trained and certified psychoanalysist means that your assessment is fundamentally rooted in nothing of substance and only in unguided speculation/conspiracy. Coupled with the fact that you never provided evidence that neurodivergence was real or fake, only that everyone is neurodivergent. You only proved it's not a medical term.
And also, throwing ad hominem attacks around here (e.g., "you are beneath me") and in other comments does not further your arguments, it technically detracts from them.
I also want to point out that at no point did I attack you as a person or your character, only your arguments. I will remain hopeful for that same respect. I hope everyone has a wonderful start to the new year.

I can't prove the non-existence of something. If you are claiming it exists, you have to prove its existence. Prove that the word " neurodivergent" is anything technical or scientific. Show me it's use in a clinical setting. I'm claiming it does not exist. The burden of proof is on you.

    • @dr_gotheem3899

After a Google Scholar search (e.g., the search engine that scientists/researchers use), I have listed below the some of the most recent, and/or most cited research where both "neurodivergent" and or "neurodiversity" were investigated in a clinical and scientific setting. There are hundreds of more peer reviewed publications like this, but kept it to see for brevity. I struggled to find any peer reviewed published articles that discounted/refute the existence of neurodiversity/neurodivergent. I however cannot prove their non-existence, so I will keep looking, and add to my comment once/if I find one. Please let me know if you cannot access these peer review publications, and I would be happy to send them anyone's way. If you do not have enough time to read these, the abstracts summarize the research well.
Maybe you are not intimately versed with how the burden of proof works in science, but if you make a claim that contradicts the scientific literature/consensus (e.g., you saying neurodivergent does not exist), then the burden of proof always lies with those who oppose the scientific consensus. Science works to come to a consensus, until a paradigm shift changes that consensus. But as I say, your claim is not the consensus (e.g., see scientific literature examples below), and the burden of proof is in your court. It's one thing to disagree with something (and that's okay!), it's another to invalidate it's existence.
Have a wonderful start to the new year, and I wish you well.

Judging by the vocabulary and the syntax you use I can tell that you do not have a higher education degree. You feel the need to qualify google scholar as "the search engine that scientists/researchers use" because you are unaware of the resources available to academics on campus. No, Google scholar is not used in any serious capacity. Actual studies published by reputable researchers and scientists are contained behind a pay-wall. This is the issue that the founder of Reddit so despised and which ultimately lead to his sue-i-side.
Google scholar features unvetted "studies" done by questionable experts. It is comical that you think doing a Ctrl-c/Ctrl-V for the first five search results you found there mean anything at all. Gordon university cautions students from believing studies they found on the search engine saying "While Google Scholar is free and easy to use, it does not mean that everything found on it is a fully reliable source. It is up to the researcher to determine if the source is reliable." library.gordon.edu/google-scholar#:~:text=for%20student%20research.-,Is%20Everything%20Reliable%3F,if%20the%20source%20is%20reliable. Which is political speak for "The results you find on google scholar are worth as much as you paid for them. As the researcher, take a careful look at the studies you find there and you will determine this to be true."
I'm not going to do a peer review of all your sources but I will use your first reference to show you why this tactic you are trying is wrong. First of all, I can't find what Dr. Chapman is an expert in. Nowhere does it list the subject of his Ph.D. He could literally have a basket weaving doctorate meaning his credence as an expert on psychological issues is as viable as Big Bird from Sesame Street. Secondly, it says he is an Assistant Professor in Critical Neurodiversity Studies. www.researchgate.net/profile/Robert-Chapman-4 "CRITICAL" Like critical race theory. This is a postmodernist calling card signifying someone who can't add anything of merit so they are instead trying to tear the entire system down by being "critical" of it. If you are tearing things down then you are in no position to be creating new concepts. He has no power to reinforce any legitimacy to the term "neurodivergent." He is a destroyer. Not someone who builds understanding. Also, his job title indicates that he is an ASSISTANT professor. His papers have no actual professors willing to attach their names to them. If the assistant at the dentist gave you medical advice would you believer her without talking to the actual dentist? This guy could have barely succeeded in getting his Ph.D. in Scatology then taught a single class at some minor university, then wrote these papers on a made up word and you want to cite him as if his papers aren't made of hot air. His bio on Psychology Today says he "specializes in the PHILOSOPHY of medicine, neurodiversity theory, and disability theory." www.psychologytoday.com/us/contributors/robert-chapman-phd He is a philosopher not a scientist or a practitioner.
OMFG! The first sentence of the abstract of the first reference you sent to me says "The neurodiversity movement is a social movement" IT'S NOT A TECHNICAL TERM IT'S A SOCIAL MOVMENT. Your own source confirms it. The world neruodivergent has no more meaning than "thinky-special" or "brain-different." For it to mean anything you would need to classify what the standard is from which it diverges. You would have to find someone doing their thinking using a potato in their cranium which differentiates them from the other 8.1 billion people on the planet who use synapses. (Please note the self restraint I exhibited by not accusing you of being this person.)
How much time did I just waste on you? You should be paying me money for the education I am providing. I have better things to do....
The underlying issue to your comments is that I can show you that you are wrong a hundred times but if I'm wrong once you will relentlessly pound that single instance. I'm the clear winner batting 99% but you refuse to quit? WTF is wrong with you? I didn't seek you out and insult your mother or anything. Why are you so personally invested in taking me down? You are an anonymous demon stalking me in predatory fashion. Your avatar is named "Dr. Got Him" FFS.
Why do you anonymously hunt me? I'm not profiteering? I'm not harming anyone. I'm calling out trespasses by those more wealthy and powerful than myself. I'm punching up. Why do I deserve your wickedness? If had to guess I would say you are that lazy-eyed Barnacles groupie from X twitter who likes to fabricate extreme falsehoods like "He's a child abuser." You are relentlessly wrong. You will never quit but you should. I'm urging you. Be a better person. Stop hunting me on the internet and go work on yourself in real life.

@@DesignPrototypeTest I took the time of watching all your video and if you say there was comorbidity with drug abuse it is quite unclear from it. Actually there is comorbidity with drug abuse both in ADHD and schizophrenia and also that is not the point of my comment . I don't take the time to comment your other "suppositions" as actually I don't care why Sanjay is dead, or better I'm not so much in the willing to dig something that his close ones decided to bury (for their own reasons), and I'm not also commenting any other of your points as there in no point in commenting your suppositions. Just wanted to say that, even if neurodivergence is not properly a "clinical" term, it quite clear that it is intended diagnosable psychiatric condition. For example, hypothetically, somebody being an asshole is not necessarily affected by a diagnosable psichiatric condition and is not necessarily neurodivergent (according to general consense on "being neurodivergent) . The point of my comment is that his family and friends MIGHT have licit reasons to make a foundation in his name to increase sensitivity on psychiatric conditions. On the other hand ADHD has comorbidity with both drug abuse and depression and both are condition that might lead to death (by overdose, suicide or even simple accidents due to reality detachment). The fact you say "everybody is neurodivergent" is to support your theory that foundations born to increase sensitivity on psychiatric conditions make not sense and they are made just to earn money is itself a deflection to the fact that is really reasonable that somebody that died by an event strictly connected to his own pathology (is it suicide for depression, or overdose for schizophrenia [and ADHD, that is also co-morbid with depression] among the most common) would reasonably like to invest time and resources to increase sensitivity on psychiatric conditions.

i feel like its my be some of parts of A and B I'm not going to give names but look at MS beast team and LTT team about the "issues" that get tham in hot water in the last year its my be the same
and I'm 100% sure the "foundation" its way to cash out on the name (like a lot of "foundation" we get now days that the main goal is to "white wash")

Wow! Well this will upset a few people and you have guts to making this video and i am pleased you did, the problem is the thing about freedom of speech is not aloud, we are made to think the way the big boys of society wont us too and anyone that that thinks for themselfs are trouble for the controllers! This is a strong video and you are taking risks but its good seeing videos like this as it helps keep reality to our own doing! There was one particular video you did about a year ago at a big risk to your rep but you did it and about time someone had the balls to speak out about what was really going on and now you did this video well, i just hope you are not going to get grief over this video? Thats what happens when someone talks out about stuff they are made to look like the bad guy!!! So much for freedom in speaking out about things they keep from us!!! Nice video and good luck

20:56 Exactly! Meanwhile some dudes in the E3D discord are complaining how they can't stand you.

It doesn't surprise me "The community" has been slandering my name since 2017 when I dared to suggest that Josef Prusa might have watched my video and learned something. I didn't ask to be the heel of "the community" it's a role they thrust upon me. They have no rebuttal to my reasoning so they attack my person.

@@DesignPrototypeTestyou didn't suggest. You said he stole from you. But wrap the truth in soft words to make yourself look better. Remember that time you said someone stole from you because of the way they had products placed in their thumbnails despite the fact yours was no where near the first to use that design?
      Good times.

I think that he was pretty well educated to not fall into vax scam, so its definitely not a vax complication.

This was a good take. Asking questions should never be penalized. I don't see any disrespectful comment in the video for the deceased. I hope the truth comes out.

Hey DPT, why did you stop making videos about prusa and Josef? You make it seem like they won and they silence you.
About the possibilities on how Sanjay died maybe he had some medical condition that lead to seizure and death, that was a possibility that you did not consider it, more possible than autoerotic asphyxiation..

Yeah, I've been doing that on X twitter @test_prototype Fewer people see the posts it but the lack of anonymity means "the community" can't misbehave as much and I get better traction.
