@JocaPT Indeed! For those that happen to be interested in both history and language, having an interactive voiced tour in your target language at your convenience is amazing.
I'm not joking when i say this is the first game my mum says "pause the game" when she leaves the room, usually its "turn it off i want to watch...". Great game if mothers approve too, gotta applaud ubisoft.
My dad always said he liked me playing assassins creed because I’m essentially learning about historical places and events while still playing a video game
The 1st step into growing up as a person with independent thoughts is to stop listening to everything parents say as being always correct, my parents had very little to teach me by the time I was 14!
Ezio trilogy has notes in the games like if you go near a historical structure or building a small note will appear with some details about those structures. Not exactly like in this video but there is at least that. Can't remember on AC 3 and AC4 atm.
This way of learning could be a way for schools to educate the children. Make it fun, make it playful. And they could make "tests" in the game to unlock next tour if they get enough right answers.
I always thought AC games have much more potential to make people interested in actual history and be educational. I wanted them to do this for a long time and they finally actually did this.
When we thought this game couldn't be any better... Now THIS!! Thank you so much Ubisoft!!! 😊 Oh my, if only all of the previous games had this feature instead of the long plain text descriptions...
I love that Ubisoft put an intense amount of research into these subjects. It really showed how much they cared about the game and the history of the setting
Good on you dude. This game is full of exploration and discoveries. I spent more than half of my time going in tombs, structures and riding my horse to discover new areas.
Let’s be honest Ashraf and his team have saved this series not once but twice now with Black Flag and now Origins. Ubisoft owe them a lot. I have a lot of respect and admiration for him and his team in the effort that must have gone in to make this game. Enjoyed every minute of it and wish from now on (but probably won’t) that they are given sole capabilities at manufacturing the rest of the new series in this game. So much to do in this game if you take your time with it. We might as well now considering we have over a year and a half to wait for the next one!
Because there were A LOT of good games last year. And I mean A LOT. It was arguably the best year in gaming so far. The competition for GOTY was tighter than ever, and it shouldn’t really matter that much. If you loved the game then more power to you. It sold well too. Critically, it was received better than most recent titles. People just thought it wasn’t on the same level as other games that came out. Hell, I’m sure there were people at IGN who argued for it. It’s a decently large office and pretty much everyone there gets to put forth a game they loved.
You can't learn history from these games, lol. History is problematic, so Ubisoft did some historical revisions with this game. Reading a book or watching a documentary will teach you way more.
Topplethepyramid i completely agree with you if read a book and watching a documentary will teach you way more but watching a documentary is kinda meh and reading a book is very boring sometime but if you learn a history from this game is very fun and very enjoyable.....well, at least for me :P
Imagine every history class being taught like this - every major era, every major event.. Man, this has a potential to completely change the way how we teach the history. Truly impressive!
Great game seriously, one of the best game ever, graphics, immersion, knowledge, action,...... Ubisoft make us happy and make a remake for enzio or a new game please
I hope we do a tour of more than just the pyramids starting next Tuesday. After seeing this, this was an amazing idea from the company. You get to learn so much about this 1 city/country/continent destination in ancient history.
I traveled to Egypt to see all the 6 (3 Giza + step + Bent + Red) pyramids because of this game. In real life, the pyramids are much much bigger and also much much further away from each other (31 km from step to bent + red). So, if you are already impressed by the in game pyramids, you will be jaw dropped by the real things. You can go inside in three of them (2 Giza + red), truely bewildered by the ancient Egyptians design and the fact that they made it, all 6 of them.
AS an Egyptian I have nothing but to appreciate the ubisoft team behind this amazing mode in the game , it is so accurate and beautiful at the same time . well done ubisoft
@@zaaaaac8 cause the arabs invaded egypt making the genpool in egypt mostly arab. the population of egypt today does notin majority share the genpool with the egypts of thousands of years ago.
I feel like pyramids were the missed opportunity for AC Origins. They could have been filled with mazes, puzzles, traps and cool rewards for reaching the tomb.
Mona Swanson call it what you will, but I want a fun pyramid, because ultimately I want a fun game. It's not like the rest of the game is true to the history. Not to mention Egyptian architects would take some measures to somehow protect tombs of their Pharaohs from being raided by robbers other than those not so well "hidden entrances"
I see that Ubisoft probably watched the J-P Houdin's documentary about how the pyramids were built, that is a must-see documentary. To me it's the best theory someone has ever come up with, most of what he explains makes sense. Also, if after watching that documentary you're still not mesmerized by the construction and the (true) purpose of this pyramid, there's probably something wrong with you!
Discovery Tour makes Ubisoft the best gaming developers company. Just imagine how much this and future Discovery Tours would be helpful in schools and educational systems. My respects
I play these games because of these features, AC2 being one of my fav love Italy reinance etc. How do you get to the discovery mode? Because I love this.
AC Origins is underrated. It's finally the quintessential Assassin's Creed game and a great starting point for the modern/ancient lore. But also quietly a sequel for long time fans.
Superb addition, and one that 'historiophiles' or anyone with a deeper appreciation of the Assassin's Creed project will undoubtedly relish! Now: if Ubisoft can do this with an AC game set in feudal Japan, they're in the money!
i think this is a really good nod to one of the most sophisticated and important cultures in ancient history. Whilst still being an unbiased source of information
Jairo Gonzalez I played all AC’s and I can tell you this is by far the best one in the series overall. The story isn’t AC2 great but with all the other stuff they added and that you can do it’s easily the best. Bayek’s voice actor is also amazing, the opening cutscene in particular really sent shivers down my spine and gave me goosebumps. There’s a fair share of glitches but I never encountered game breaking glitches, probably as buggy as AC4 which wasn’t that bad so you really have nothing to worry about. Hopefully I helped.

I learned much more history and a little engineering(with the help of AI) in this video than my entire architecture lectures altogether. Damn, that says a lot of our educational system here in the Philippines. Edit: I read some of the comments that it isn't accurate, but to be honest, it's an enthralling tour whether it's historically accurate or not. Ubisoft made a great effort to include this in the game.
If the next AC games will have discovery tours that would be so cool. I wanna tour Japan, China, Norway and the previous AC locations like Paris, Rome and London.
The great pyramid was built wayyyy before 2500 bce , the church threatened the French archaeologists , because their original estimation conflicted with the biblical timeline , even old Egyptian historian, modern ones during the Islamic Khalifates rule , estimated the pyramids and ancient Egyptian civilisation to be over 10500 years old if not more
Pity Syndicate doesn't have a mode like this, it would be a nice breather in-between missions to just explore and get history on the areas in the game. I can see this mode being well used by me when I eventually manage to buy Origins.
It's even narrated? So it's like a virtual tour? Mad props for Ubi this time
It’s an interactive documentary. This should honestly be used in schools. Much more effective than textbooks.

This is what future museums will be like, actually walking through ancient civilizations. This is what I've been waiting for since I was a kid.
So basically you can be a tourist in Egypt without having to actually go to Egypt.
Full Life 3 yea
Full Life 3 it’s not a flying car but it’s something
Full Life 3 imagine this in VR!
Yeah! That would be awesome!
being a turist is dangerous and expensive.

That would be fun, and I hope it will give one in the following AC games! 😀
I liked to play as Ziio Conner's mother
