  • Today’s episode we head out to one of my local favorite places to wheel. Cougar Buttes is 30 minutes east of the famous King of the Hammers ground. This episode we got to compare whats arguably the tow best rigs on the market. The Bronco Raptor and the Rubicon 392 XR. These rigs are the top tier from factory and are an absolute blast to see them work. Enjoy this episode and let us know what you think about this comparison. Do we have a new Offroad King or does the Wrangler still reign supreme.

    Because I have owned a 392 2023 model and now I own a bronco raptor I tell people the bronco raptor is better than the 392 and the 392 is better than the bronco raptor it’s really 50-50, if you want comfort Definitely bronco raptor, no driver fatigue!!! you can let go of the steering wheel on the highway and tracks perfectly straight even with mud terrain tires, and when you get saddle time with the bronco raptor and you run it in sport mode with Baja exhaust track control off it comes to life but then the 392 that hemi is major fun factor, off-road if you like to go fast bronco raptor if you go on narrow trails jeep 392 visibility is better theoretically solid front axle better for rock crawling, I don’t know they’re both awesome vehicles in a perfect world I wish I could afford to own both of them. The only reason I chose the bronco raptor is because I tow a modified off-road teardrop trailer and I really wanted to do some long trips to different states and wilderness areas and the bronco was definitely the way to go but I still miss the 392 I go back-and-forth, The bronco raptor for me personally attracts too much attention.

      @@jinoh7418 you know I thought the same thing about the fenders but once you own the vehicle the fenders actually look really good it’s because it’s so different it sticks out like a sore thumb but Ford actually did a good job on the fenders mine is the area 51 color and all the black on the vehicle just makes the color look right, again its a matter of just getting used to it that’s all.

      I have a 23’ 392 XR and honestly think both are good for what they’re used for. Bronco probably way more comfortable but that V8 in the Wrangler makes it a beast and fun to drive.

      @@brianf504 The 392 V8 is awesome and I miss mine all the time but I also like the bronco raptor because it’s so darn comfortable and fun to drive, the jeep 392 is much easier to modify and build the way you want but the bronco raptor comes all built from the factory other than me putting a winch on it some method be grip wheels and 37 13 1/2 mud terrain‘s along with some off-road lighting and it’s basically done whereas the jeep I would’ve immediately dumped over $20,000 into it but again I’m torn between the two I go back-and-forth all the time and I tell you can’t beat that V-8 hemi, when you jump on it at least on mine the passenger front wheel would come off the freaking ground!!!!

      @jinoh7418 9 месяцев назад

      @brianf504 I haven't sat in a bronco, but hear it's better for daily driving.
      Both are good on the trails too, but I suspect solid axles play a big role for jeep.

    Since I’m overly analytical…
    In the rocks, both the 392 and Braptor reversed and realigned 6 times (in the video) - even
    High Speed - (392 by 1.1 seconds)
    Turn (times not announced in video)
    392 - 16.05 seconds
    Braptor 17.95 seconds
    Flat Fly by
    Braptor - 21.3 seconds
    392 - 22.6 seconds
    Whoop Fly by
    392 - 15.1 seconds
    Braptor - 15.6 seconds
    I mean, based on the numbers, Jeep edges out the Ford by 1.1 seconds.

    I've been a jeep guy for most of my life. I now own a BRaptor and haven't looked back. Ford took the jeep and engineered it right and ive never been a Ford guy. If you took a 392, lifted it with coilovers, and added 37s - the cost would be substantially more than the BRaptor. Ive been on Gold Mountain and a few others - this thing shines!

    I'm not a big fan of Jeep, but I really appreciate them having a bunch of engine choices and having a couple straight front axle vehicles. I don’t care about Ford either, but they really shook the offroad community with these Bronco's. The Bronco is a very impressive vehicle.
    I guess it just comes out to what a new owner wants to do. If you want to mob and have the ability to hit trails comfortably at higher speeds, while still able to hit hard rock crawling trails, the Bronco is where it's at.

I get so little up front in my 98 4runner with stock LCAs, front just likes to teeter totter up things while the back just flexes up over them. I wonder how the geometry compares to like a 4runner LT kit. Really does look like those LCAs are longer than stock 4runner LCAs. Nice things is though at least my 4runner cost about 1/8th of what that bronco costs and my tie rods don't snap when you look at them wrong lol.

    • @The-fs5wn
      @The-fs5wn 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@mingaypetraca4x4 does that matter when the Bronco can still make it past obstacles easier than the Jeep can, even on 3 wheels? Lite Brite has real 37 ATs on their Bronco Raptor and it gets up obstacles that even a 4 inch lift 392 on 37s struggles with. In one of their recent videos, it easily passed an obstacle that made a 4 inch lift 392 on what look to be 37 MTs had to attempt multiple times. On one obstacle it went a few feet in the air, landed on its frame onto a rock, and was completely unharmed. Plus, once you get used to the IFS on the Bronco it’s a breeze (according to the driver Kevin). As a bonus, it squashes the Jeep in every metric that isn’t rock crawling as well.

      @@mingaypetraca4x4 even if I don’t change your mind, I’m still gonna end on the fact that you didn’t read my comment. My comment was that articulation isn’t the only defining characteristic of an off-roader. There’s also approach, departure, breakover, chassis tuning, ground clearance and stability, all areas where the Braptor destroys any Jeep. When a Braptor is tilted 35-45 degrees, it’s not going to feel like the whole thing wants to roll over. The Jeep on the other hand, rolls like a mf and is hard to handle on those kinds of obstacles. The Bronco Raptor also has 2 inches of extra ground clearance and the front differential is way more protected. You didn’t even bother to read my comment. The Wrangler is far superior. High Speed and Dunes, the Raptor is king. I like both. I own a Wrangler XR, but I would like to own a Bronco for the comfort and more stability. I don't go on rocks enough to justify it. But I have and everyone was surprised with my XRs capabilities completely stock.

    Braptor out representing for the IFS Gang. Stock vs stock, any comparable trim levels, Bronco is simply a better rig than the Jeep. Jeep has suffered from being the only game in town for too long, and had a lack of innovation. Now that the market has competion, I expect Jeep to step up their game. But for now, Jeeps are for people who want to spend thousands of dollars on aftermarket parts so they can be "just as good as". I'll put my stock Badlands against a stock Rubicon any day of the week.

    Jeep 392 all day, all night. Jeep can go sand dune with no issues with the Bronco. Bronco will never keep up and go anywhere with the Jeep 392 due to its size if we're talking about consistency and go anywhere. Bronco will break and self destruct. Moab proved this over and over. Then, owners talk about sand dunes due to its suspension supposed to be built for it, yet still can't keep up with the 392 in Dubai. This video proved nothing, but set up to fail and make the 392 look uncontrollable lol. The truth is out there , Broncos are nice it's just not enough.

      It's clear you don't know what you are talking about, the Braptor was designed for the Desert, and that doesn't mean the sand dunes.

    What are you 5 years old? In that same vein, calling a viewer’s comment garbage, as you did, shows what type of person you are. You’re an influencer, influencing people and their decisions. You put yourself in a position that opens you up to feedback and opinion in turn. If you can only accept positive responses without antagonistic comebacks, then maybe it’s not for you. Also, twisting or manipulating a commenter’s feedback doesn’t help you either. And as to moving on from your channel, I already have, but for the annoying rebuttals. Have a great day.

      @@TrailMilitia Wow!! That’s special. I have 3 jeeps and a Silverado. Drove a 76 Bronco as as a high schooler. Are we comparing size. lol. You’re the one doing the review; a biased review for followers. Look at the comments. I’m not the only one that noticed. And I don’t care about your perceived outcome, other than it’s ridiculous. Today it’s the Bronco, tomorrow the Wrangler. lol. Don’t waste my time.

      @@JosephPozzi nothin your saying makes any sense. You’re bringing up a 3 jeeps a Silverado and a bronco that doesn’t even fit this comparison. Then you mention put this on 40s and see what happens again another pointless comment. This is factory for factory and unless you’ve driven both and actually been around them as often as I do then you’ll never really understand. that’s where my opinion comes from. Calling someone’s work garbage shows the kinda dude you are, it’s simple change the channel and move on.
