GZW has its issues, but i love it. Totally my style of game. And the devs seem like decent and transparent people, so i cross my fingers for GZW to get fleshed out. I enjoy GZW a lot, even with its current drawbacks.
@@RamenStyle Oh yes. I mean the core idea is fantastic. For me GZW is more like open world Ghost Recon but with the old spirit in mind, not Breakpoint. I would say GZW is more of a combination of Tarkov, Squad and Arma. Its definetly not a arena shooter like tarkov, so usually the argument here is misplaced in my opinion. Bugs will go away, stability improves (at least for me with each hotfix) and more content will be added. So far we see only like 30% of the content that is intended if im not mistaken. There will be much more stuff. Changing weather, day/night cycle, floods, better gear and clothing diversity, better weapon and env sounds, and more. Also the story is what got my attention. I read quests and it starts to get interesting what actually happened in Ground Zero (that place will also be developed from what i have heard, since its just a irradiated jungle now. Stalker vibes?) Anyway, all in all, the core framework idea is great. It just needs fleshing out and then new content. Happy to see how this game develops in the future.
Agreed. I ran this with a 4080 and had no issues, but every other person I spoke to that did not have a 40-series card could not run the game well. That definitely needs to be priority.
Doesn't matter, at least it's not already filled with cheaters unlike arena breakout. It looks better too. Breakout is run by the same group that ruined PUBG and still didn't stop cheating from 2017.
i have a 4000 series but for me the issue was it wanted to eat my cpu with fire 98 degree's on cpu with everything on low capped on 30fps and a small frikin window even with unity 5 this is not okay my 600£ cpu is not worth losing over playing this game it will be placed on the backurner until they fix this "heat issue" but it sux's coz i love the game :(
Man, I love the EFT competition. I hope GZW can become it's own thing, to stand on their own legs by simply focusing on the whole PvE aspect, mixed with PvP regarding factions. Can't wait to see where this game will be going in a year or so. Arena Breakout however is simply EFT, but better. Everthing works as intended, so many little QoL features that make the gameplay experience even smoother, quicker and better.
First 2 day was tough fo me, thought that i wont go past 20h but then day 3 made me fell in love. So far Forth narith on PVP server is what every gamer wants. So intense and rewarding
You are good guy its nice to watch your videos 😊I am here from Tarkov tips videos and after watching few videos i am no longer sure if i will be able to play Tarkov or GMZ...its just walk 10 m then crouch sneak 10 m then wait 1 min prone to hear somethin. Damnn
Im not a die hard tarkov guy, this is my first wipe actually. But GZW just wasnt satisfying for me. The gun play just didnt "kick" or "pop" the way EFT feels. I can see why some enjoy this game but for me personally it's just lacking that flavor of intensity for me
its a shame this game is super blurry because of the forced aggressive TAA in this game, it makes the game look so much worse and makes PvP almost impossible.
Im gonna buy it after it's been out for a while. I'm sick of getting games in early access. Star Citizen taught me that lesson. I bought that game like 8 years ago. Still isn't out lol.
Exploring this map seem so lackluster since there is nothing really to explore. no loot, no interesting paces, no real atmosphere. even this small clip from tarkov 0:40 in dorms hold so much more personality than what we currently have in gray zone. people can say what they want about tarkov but the map design and the environment is so much more rich and interesting to explore and play in. in grayzone it is just a whole lot of nothing... they shouldn't have released it in this state. first impressions are important and adding things to do in this game is crucial before letting people try it out.
You know why I dislike "fast paced hold w" types of games? Because they don't require skill, the only thing that matters is ping. It doesn't matter how good you are if the noob against you has 4× lower ping. The difference from 20ms to 90ms is HUGE, so huge in fact that it feels like everyone has wallhacks and shooting through the walls because you die before even seeing them. "Peeker's advantage" isn't a thing for me, they see me before I'm even there because the server said so. I've tried it with friends in multiple games in custom matches, from their side it's like playing in slow-motion while I shoot 8 rounds on my screen but none if them gets registered on theirs. So for me the only way to "enjoy" a multiplayer pvp experience is to play harder then tournament goers but that negates all the tactics and mind games that I truly want to do. Sometimes I have to shoot in the air next to a player to hit him and take into account his movement before he actually moves because of the desync. This is true for all games. The "risk it and loose it" gameplay of EFT and GW (but eft especially) makes it infinitely more enjoyable to 360° no scope snipe everyone from 420m away while blasting MLG airhorn.
Love the game but biggest bitch is that squad chat is not open mic. like how tf are we supposed to work together when I gotta hold a button to talk? "Hold up" shoots relevant people in the distance and random teammate goes "thanks didn't even see em" Add open mic for squads I get it or solos but fuck em the game is literally made to play with people so fuck em.
Wild to me that 7 hours of questing is too much before hardcore PVP. Like, you definitely spend more than 10 hours tasking in Tarkov to get traders up before you start going for sweaty PVP, why is that absolutely unacceptable in GZW??
Questing itself isn’t the issue - it’s questing with no stakes. In Tarkov, getting your first 5 scav kills for debut is a challenge because there are other PMCs trying to take your head off. “Sweaty PVP” begins 1 second into your Tarkov experience. In GZW, your first 7 hours are simply a single player game. Is that a bad thing? Not necessarily. It’s just not for everyone like myself.
@@RamenStyle no doubt about that, the stakes aren't there early on. I have found that the stakes feel different overall though. The open world nature of GZW just has a different feel since recovering your body is an actual possibility, and you can be healed by teammates and what not. Different strokes for different folks at the end of the day I think
Yeah totally get your point of view. I found that my “boredom” in my first handful of hours were mainly from expectations I had coming in, despite already being reminded that this game is more of a PVE game than PVP, I couldn’t help but still have Tarkov set my standards for what to expect lol, that’s on me.
This game is fucking shit. Nowhere close to Tarkov. It shouldn't even be compared to it. Gunplay in this one, oh my... Bet all the "I've finally escaped Tarkov" boys will get back to Tarkov when this hype is over. See you in Tarkov, soon!
Yea looks promising, like a more accessible Tarkov pre-2018 patch. my concern was movement, lil tweak close to COD MW w/ being arcady and still felt grounded.
3080 gets 160-180 with FSR but it looks like so choppy and scratched to hell. 80-90 fps with DLSS quality all high and ultra settings is what I run. The fps isnt what’s trash really. Mine stays smooth. it’s the actual visuals themselves past 40 meters that blow.. Everything is so blurry it’s like someone painted Vaseline across the screen for everything past 40 meters. Makes it super hard to make out bodies clearly unless you are scoped in on them. scoped in, you can see just fine and it’s all clear but if not scoped in, it’s not as crisp and clear as it looks in all these videos and pics we see.. sadly
Can you even pick up your own loot from your own body? This is fantasy. Not realistic. The devs need to fix this. You got to have a penalty for dying such as not being able to pick up your own dead body's loot by making your dead body's loot disappear within certain timeframe. The enemy AI got them.
Go back to Tarkov then. I like being able to recover my loot. It’s not usually feasible when you die to players, but if I have a stupid death to ai, it’s nice to be able to do. Your body does disappear if you die again before reaching it.
GZW has its issues, but i love it. Totally my style of game. And the devs seem like decent and transparent people, so i cross my fingers for GZW to get fleshed out. I enjoy GZW a lot, even with its current drawbacks.
Well said. I appreciate how it also has so much potential to push the genre forward.

Wishful thinking, I'll come back to this in a few years and see what's up.
You are probably one of the only lets players I’d consider genuinely a good guy, congrats on the massive growth!
Appreciate this a lot man, thank you!
The main issue is it is VERY unoptimized and you literally need a 40-series card to run it anywhere close to "well"
Agreed. I ran this with a 4080 and had no issues, but every other person I spoke to that did not have a 40-series card could not run the game well. That definitely needs to be priority.
i have a 2080ti and the game runs good for me.

please more gray zone content, i enjoy your videos so much
Dont care if I'm rolling with 40fps. Having a blast with this game.. dont miss Tarkov a bit

14 views in 30 seconds. bro dropped off
tbh those 14 views were me refreshing to see if HD version was up too. 100% fell off
Lol
@RamenStyle you fell off so hard you actually went back up 😂
what 500,000 ??? who said check community hub only 30k players
500K purchases, not concurrents. I state it in the video
Looks like it could be amazing, don't like how easy it is to infill camp tho
If they can implement any optimization it'll be a good game.
So long COD Having a blast at GZW

*Puts 500k players in screenshot meanwhile game has only had 71k players* need that clickbait
Literally mentioned 20 seconds in to the video - the devs have confirmed 500K purchases. Not clickbait.
@@RamenStyle yet steamcharts and stats say otherwise.
You’re misunderstanding, I literally mentioned 500K purchases. You’re talking about concurrents
Sometimes listening is way to hard
feel like there's too many starter quests, yes should do at least one of each quest type but after that just give us quests to go other places
The game had 30k players these days lol :P

@@RamenStyle how many refunds
No clue, you’ll have to ask the devs that, I’m just a gamer lol

Yeah and the over all quests are just straight up boring some pvp here and there and that's the game
NO DISCORD i swear discord ruined gaming for me i hate having to make accounts just to talk to teamates IN GAME like why cant we just use teamchat
