Sin comes in all sorts, not just lust. My anger is out of control. (Not violent thoughts, just extremely hateful judgments against my neighbors..) I am so ashamed, I am so sorry. LORD God, please forgive me.
Lust is awful dealing with I’ve had nights tossing and turning in just straight up agony from porn withdrawal (been watching the trash since I was like 11-12) and I’ve always cussed like a sailor cause it’s just how my family is so it’s hard man but I can only tackle one dragon at a time, pray for a brother in Christ!
I am a university student and it is hard. All these girls around me my age, and they’re beautiful. I know I have a duty to serve God, I am constantly trying to get to know the Word better, I read my Bible, etc. Lust is such a relentless passion that will never abandon you. Pray for me, that I have the patience and endurance to wait for the wife that God has for me, if it is His will that I marry.
The solution to sexual lust is: admit you are weak and ask God's help through the Holy Spirit and commune with God daily, know that sex is created by God and is beautiful within the bonds of marriage, know that Satan's purpose is to make you a useless Christian and doesn't care whether you enjoy sin or not, you need to stop being casual about looking at woman or man's body who is not married to you, know that one of the purpose of the bible is to strengthen you that is why we read, study, memorize and medidate on it, when you do slip and fall at times, know that God still loves you and will cleanse you and wants you to be an overcomer until you overcome like Jesus.
Wow what I was needed to hear, I’ve been struggling with wilful pornography addiction. Even though I promised my self not to go on these sites because it creates intrusive ideas. Please pray for me for strength and discipline as I am not perfect and I don’t want to destroy my self again EVER. I hate pornography and how it affected me and my brain. May god have mercy on me. Idk if I’m just overthinking to my self if I am ever going to make it to heaven or not without daily repentance. And I felt like if I have toyed and angered god on purpose just because of this wilful sin.
And lead us, not into temptation, but deliver us from evil…. It’s a hard one. I pray I try to identify sin and I try to avoid it, but the temptation is real, I just try to look away and think whether or not God is going to be OK with what I’m thinking and resist and pray for him to take away the temptation and desires I shouldn’t have. :/ Of course I’m not gonna go out and sleep with someone but he said even when we think it it is adultery. so even if the thought crosses my mind, I tried to rebuke it and pray that the spirit fill me that God takes these things from me and protects me from these Temptations. Then I praise him for grace, because none of us, and especially not me, could be saved without his sacrifice. He said the spirit comes to transform us. Praise God and thank you spirit, transform me🙌🏼
