“I will sweep away everything from the face of the earth,” declares the Lord. “I will sweep away both man and beast… on the day of the lord’s wrath. In the fire of his jealousy the whole earth will be consumed, for he will make a sudden end of all who live on the earth.” (Zeph 1:2,18)
“In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again (second coming) and receive you unto myself, that WHERE I AM, there ye may be also.” (John 14:2)

As Ethiopian Orthodox church ,we do believe a commentary ..we do not telling the God's ppl in a singular meaning but exposition (Tefsir in Arabic)...this analogy similar with Act 10:1-48 ..."A voice came to him, "Rise, Peter, kill and eat!"(Acts of the Apostles 10:13) likely " But bring those enemies of mine who didn't want me to reign over them here, and kill them before me.'" (Luke 19:27). ..Christ our God is talking about parable which is mean worshipping for christ if you don't accept His word ...His sword will gone be kill you also His Angel's will come in order to kill you because of your sinfulness (becaus the disobedience for Christ our God) ...this word would be literally Jesus said ordering for kill the unbelive ppl ..if it's true ..All the Apostle will make forcefully kill the whole unbelieving ppl unfortunately All of the Apostle killed by the unbelievers and Jew's community.

This is just a parable about a King and the context is, after the resurrection, what God, aka Jesus, will do to the wicked.
Today I tried to go to a live stream of Tobi Singer but it was only for payer customers. I wait so I give comments after the live stream but it was also for payers.
The theme was "Christians don't follow Moses laws".
We don't need to. The 10 God's law is enough for us.

People of all kinds please state if you are christian or muslim, atheists, agnostics or any combination of those and then if willing participate in the test. As well, looking for 5 good moral theist questions for atheists/agnostics.
#1 You see a child drowning in a shallow pool and notice a person just watching that is able to save the child with no risk to themselves but is not, is that persons non action moral?
#2 If you go to save the child, the man tells you to stop as he was told it was for the greater good, but he does not know what that is, do you continue to save the child?
#3 Is it an act of justice to punish innocent people for the crimes of others?
#4 If you were able to stop it and knew a person was about to grape a child would you stop it?
#5 Would you consider a parent who put their kids in a room with a poison fruit and told the kids not to eat it but then also put the best con artist in the room with the children knowing the con artist will get the kids to eat the fruit and the parent does nothing to stop it a good parent?

I agree with the explanation of Sam. Still it is easily to defend Jesus ordering the execution of the people who do not want him to be king over him. For we should not forget that Jesus will one day return, and then all will be judged and that everyone who name is not written in the book of life will be cast in the lake of fire. For the kingdom that Jesus brings is a kingdom decribed in Matthew:
Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
    Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they will be comforted.
    Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they will be filled.
    Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they will see God.
    Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
It says a lot about the people who do not want to be a part of the kingdom that Jesus brings.

You're close but not quite there: For starters Jesus (after the rapture of the church and seven year Tribulation [God's Rath poured out on the wicked]) will bring his bride "the church" back with him to "rule and rein with him for 1000 years". Afterwards, Satan (who was bound in hell those 1k years) will be released to deceive man again causing them to rebel against God one last time. Then...........there's the Great White Thrown judgement you noted (when the book of life will be opened and whose names aren't found there will be cast into the Lake of Fire).

You misunderstood it. It's a verse about unforgivable sin. You have to read in context.
This verse talk about blasphemy against the Holy spirit. the sin of attributing to Satan what is the work of the Spirit of God, such as when the Pharisees earlier accused Jesus of driving out demons only by the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons.
Jesus and the Father will forgive you as long as you're alive and repent. But once you kick the bucket it's game over.
Jesus didn't lie when he said that he's the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one goes to the Father except through him.
      Death seals eternal destiny.
Those who die apart from saving faith in Jesus Christ will never be forgiven.

I find religions so fascinating… it’s obvious to me that all the great mythical people allah, Jesus, Buddha, Keisha and everyone else just wanted to make the world a better place and said thing to the societies that they were in at their time to make them a better people but as time passed people with their own agenda made their own interpretations and muddy the water… I might be wrong but having so many god on this earth just makes me wonder what these men experienced but couldn’t put it in words and those words of wisdom are twisted over the millennia…
I ain’t atheist or agnostic but I believe in a god, a god that I can’t understand, a god that is bigger than religion and a god that dictates the universe and not just this planet…

His resurrection proved that his words are worth trusting. Put your trust in Jesus, live his way, then you'll be basking in truth and life everlasting.

2:08 Didn't the bible call them "talents" and properly defined meant a year's wage (each)? 8:06 Funny...I remember it written to 'cast them into the outer darkness NOT••••• "bring them before him and SLAY THEM",••••• ridiculous. Why is that important? ANSWER: (1.) For Jesus to say slay them....would equate him with Mohammad who says the very same thing. (Ask any Muslim who knows his so-called holy book.) (2.) Casting them into the outer darkness isn't man's job, that's the angels job. And only by God's command would and could an angel do that.
Bottom line: The Bible as it was known just a few years ago went through several changes (e.g. words were changed, added, deleated, misspelled etc.) . One such change was the use of the word "wineskins" to "bottles" in Luke 5:37 & Matthew 9:17. As witnessed by another Christian of 40+ years and myself we noted the word "bottles" and neither of us EVER seeing it before . Secondly, When used in Luke and not in Matthew we debated 'maybe that was just the differences of the two books'. Only to find two days afterwards, Matthew changed to "bottles" also. Now.......Here's where it gets spooky.....these references were read both times two days apart, out of the same two bibles (his copy written in 1887, mine recently) and were found in the same to two bibles two day's later. No one moved either bible. (3.) Another example can be found in John 14: 13& 14. Noting it used to read "... ask anything in my name and my heavenly father will do it." NOT "I will do it". (4.) Now opposed to before, the word "corn" WAS NEVER USED in the Bible, but rather "grain" (5.) "Stuff" is another word now used instead of "possessions ".
And here's the kicker.... Now when describing "bottles" they define it as "wineskins". Which begs the question 'why didn't they just use that word "wineskins" in the first place? Though actually..............they did.

Nowhere does it encourage people to kill as your title suggests! If Jesus comes to destroy the wicked then he will do so! If he chooses to spare someone he will do so! Because he is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, HIS judgement is righteous, not ours! How can sinners righteously judge another sinner? We can choose to turn from sin and teach others to do the same, but, we cannot judge since we have sinned ourselves which would make us hypocrites, and if we cannot judge righteously then what right do we have as sinners to take another Man or Womans life away from them? That would only add to our sins.
    Thou shalt not kill!
"He who has not sinned may cast the first stone"
    Your interpretation is all wrong.

Jesus in the bible also commanded for the killings of innocent babies and children. Read 1 Samuel 15:3 …"go and strike Amalek and completely destroy everything that they have; do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’” See how the bible differentiate between the babies and infants to be butchered. Why Jesus is being portrayed as so evil and bloodthirst in the bible?

Know your Bible. That's the Old Testament.
Which means it's the old covenant.
And if you read the old testament, you would have known that God has ordered the destructions of many kingdoms after warning them for hundred of years.
God had the right to judge them. He's the judge of the world and he decide who live or die. And it has always been specific. A time and a place.
Like when God personally destroy Sodom and Gomorah or flooded the Earth. we're talking about people who have done unforgivable sin and refused to repent over and over.
And Jesus in the New Testament, doesn't refute that.
In fact, he said that the Father is not going to interfere anymore until judgment. And it's going to be worse than anything that happened combine.
So you better repent while you still have time.
But don't think that God take pleasure in destroying people like humans do.
God destroy evil, because good and evil cannot cohabitate.
God has promised to destroy evil from the first book in the Bible to the last.
That's the whole point of the Bible!!
In resume: God has promised to destroy evil and the Bible is how he did it.
      Ezekiel 33:11
Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’
God cannot be more clear than that.
The God in the Bible is the one who decide who live and who dies. Which is why a judge do.
Which is different from muslim god. Who tell them to be the one to judge who live and die according to their book.
In doing so they have killed people who didn't have time to repent or change their way. Which is a grave sin.
Even the jews have been guilty of that. They kill even though God doesn't have given them the authority now. Before yes. But it a was a specific time and place. Now they're going to be judge harsher than anyone else.

    • @Rev22-21
      @Rev22-21 7 месяцев назад +2

He isn't! That reference you're using isn't telling you why God instructed them to be destroyed, but rather to destroy them. Most scholars agree the reason for that destruction was because of the sin and disobedience of those people. Sins of sexual wickedness including rape, child rape, homosexuality, sex with animals, incest and diseases including but not limited to, tuberculosis, leprosy, rabies, venereal diseases such as syphilis and gonorrhea were rampant as well. Think about it, even the animals were carriers and only up to now have any of these things been brought close to being cured and dealt with.

      @dangdutirama1679 7 месяцев назад

@@Rev22-21 1. What have the innocent babies & children done that justifies their killings? None. Your god has committed a great injustice by killing the innocents.
      2. God in the bible specifically differentiates between babies and children. Meaning they were subjected to targeted killings. What kind of evil god targets babies.
      3. In some bibles, infants were translated as suckling. Meaning toddlers and nursing moms were slaughtered too. Only the devil will do such horrific crimes.
      4. Worse, your biblical god told others to commit the crimes and keep his hands clean from the atrocities. Another injustice and shows the Christian god is an irresponsible deity.
      5. Based on your explanation, your god has commanded a sin (killing the innocents) in order to punish a sin. Only a false god will command such wrongdoings.
      6. The bible is the only scripture in the world allowing baby and children killings. No other scripture in the world has similar evil command.
      7. Israeli terrorist prime minister Nethanyahu has quoted the same verse to justify the mass killings of Palestinians in Gaza. A clear proof that the bible promotes terrorism and is used as reference by terrorists.
Leave christianity. Come back to monotheist and worship not Jesus, but the Almighty God of Jesus.
