@Csab how would sending someone money fix his concern of the video getting so "little" attention? I don't follow your logic.. Giving money would not increase exposure.
Wow, this is one of the best overall car reviews I’ve seen on RUclips. You really worked hard, did your homework and gave a great honest review. I own this RR and I’ve had 16,000 miles of absolute joy driving this thing. And yes I’m one of the few that actually goes off road. I’m a car guy. I’ve had cars that went fast and RR’s that were great off road but never have I owned a vehicle that can be actually be 3 different vehicles. Off road, luxury and also sport. Jump in watch the shifter spin up and decide how you want to drive . Genius!! Thanks again for your hard work. Cheers.
Luxury cars nowadays are like disposable cars. They are only good for a few years and they become a headache after a while. Best is to lease them, if you wanna have one. I personally like this car a lot but it just irks me that it won't be any reliable because if I bought one, I would love to keep it for a long time. The review is as usual, very consistent in quality. Keep up the great work man.
Leasing a Range Rover will still cause a lot of headaches due to it will have lot of issues that will requires lots of trips to the dealership for repairs.
driftbro They only exist because there's a large group of people who have low self -esteem who are more impressing other people than buying a reliable car, and now people can just lease these pile of trash and dump them in 3 year before the warranty expires.
Boy I look forward to each of your tests.Your technical knowledge and preparation for each video is far above average. I don't understand the low number of subscribers you deserve MUCH better. Keep up the great work thank you very much .
I'm on my 4th RR in 22 years and would never dream of buying anything else. My current one is at about 100k - half of which was spent towing my daughter's horsebox. The are awesome vehicles and quite the loveliest place to be if you're covering a lot of miles. Oh and much more reliable than my wife's Volvo.
I'll be honest, a car review has not evoked (pun intended) this sense of emotion and attraction towards a car as much as this one in a long time. Well done.
You do a great job man one of the main reasons I come back every time is not just the honesty and the lack of hyperbole, it’s the technical aspect once you get these cars up on a lift I always want to know what car makers are doing and how they achieve the results they get. Makers like Land Rover use a lot of aluminum and amazing suspension components to make a giant car handle well. Keep up the good work!
I love the fact that you talked about the bottom engineering of this Velar I just bought the 2020 Velar R dynamic and I am in love with it! It also drives so damn SMOOTH! Love your videos!
What an absolute, masterpiece of a review, a beautiful vehicle, great to watch on a hum drum Monday, made my evening. Keep the great content coming, love from winnipeg Canada 🍁 🍻
I'd like to think every car is obtainable to just about any enthusiast(used car market). However this vehicle with it's starting price and percieved unreliability proved the exception. Another wonderful video with great camera work from "the goose"! I would love to own this vehicle but its truly unobtainable for me. I love its dual nature -luxury but offroad capable. The white interior which always feels/seems total deluxe! The only thing I would change is increase its sheet metal height it looks squashed.
This "conversational" style review is leagues better than the bullit-point norm of most. I am excited for a test drive already! Best Valar review so far.
He complains about the door handles freezing up in cold climates, but at the same time shows a clip of them being tested to -20 deg C and 4mm of ice - and they still work.....
Piano Black trim can be protected by Paint Protection Film aka PFF. Ofcourse you would need to it as soon as you drive it off the lot. Also using mini DA polishers can correct the scratches on the piano black trim if they aren't deep. Just an FYI.
This was my first choice til i saw this review about those knobs scrathes, I decided and went with second option which is Toyota Yaris and happy ever after since. No shinny knobs to worry or where i should park in busy mall or supermarket parking lot. Thanks for saving all the headache could of causes if I marry this Velva.
It was a real tough choice between this and the new Lincoln Navigator which looks amazing. Both are right in my price range but then I chose to settle for a mode of transportation called the bus. For only the price of $2, I had a chaffeur, air suspension, Wi-fi, massive leg room and a manual. I greatly recommend all luxury car buyers out there to consider test driving the *bus*.
I thought about one of these too but instead I got a plow truck, a Buick, a Jeep, a Harley, a side by side and a Suzuki and put 20k towards my mortgage.
Best to buy these luxury vehicles used - 2-3 years old and then get a certified warranty to cover up to 100K miles. Basically, let the rich folk buy them new and then wait for them to get done playing with them...much more affordable.
Stunning camera work & editing, really superb; definitely the most professionally crafted reviews I've seen. The investment in the new Shoppe was well worth it... ...mind you, the Velar is definitely photogenic; the interior is stunning, and another superb piece of automotive design from JLR. And having driven one briefly I can tell you the off-road capabilities are (un)surprisingly good.
All these people who never owned a Range Rover and who never could afford one cribbing about quality. We have a Range Rover for 3.5 years with no issues. Just waiting for the supply of the Velar to pickup a bit in my region. We will get one of these.
mansees ha all these are absolute garbage I tried it for 2 weeks went in the shop 2 times got rid and just upgraded to a panamera Porsche is quite the upgrade
I assume you already know this, but you make THE BEST car review videos. Please keep up the great work. Also, when are you going to get another sports car to review?
One of the if not the best car review I have seen on RUclips in a long time. Specifically around the Valare. A lot of people like to love it and then dog on it. You made some very valid in Simpplr points around consideration of this car
There's quite a few Velar around here already. My friend just up the road has one. Like the majority in the UK, it has a Diesel engine. In his case the four cylinder Diesel engine. It goes well, but he doesn't like it quite as much as his previous old-model RR Sport. For one thing he has had a big issue with the dual screen system and had to wait for months for a system update to get it to work as it should. The body design works better with darker colours than his white, especially around the door handles where his looks like a door to a stand-alone floor fridge. For the same money, personally I would prefer the more practical Discovery, or for very little more, the Range Rover Sport. Velar is, of course, the Land Rover version of the Jaguar F-Pace and in my opinion it is what theF-Pace should have been and should have looked like, especially inside, all along.
Thanks, Mark. Man you’re thorough! Incredible video. If I was in charge of RR outreach, I’d have a suspension air piston upgrade kit at factory cost and make it available to 2018 buyers. That’s all that this car needs to be whole.
Wow! I cannot get over how good your videos are... Will you ever produce a non-automotive video? There's so much out there that deserves the SavageGeese treatment. Of course, you'll have to determine how to squeeze 36 hours into a single day....
Creaking and rattling? You make it sound like it’s not a concern, lol. Forget it. Not spending $70k for a beautiful car but rattles when you hit bumps. Was considering this one, but thanks for bringing up the creaking and rattling noise and saving me the trouble of going to the dealership. This one is off my list. Down to 3 options. The Macan, the BMW X3, or the Lexus LC 500.
Velar wins hands down with exterior and interior looks but my second choice would be the Porsche, well put together just a little boring to look at, I’ve owned a BMW X3, great car just a little dated on the inside and the Lexus I would never contemplate until I’m in my late 60s. What did you go for in the end?
I own one so I have a vested opinion and I thought it was one of the best reviews I’ve seen. I agree about most of your thoughts. It’s was expensive and it might be the best car I have ever owned, and it has the possibility of being the worst car I have ever owned. Only time will tell but it’s so good looking that right now I love it. I just hope all the technology holds up over the test of time.
Great review and quality video as usual. What percentage would really use this off road? Earlier Range Rovers were owned by ranchers and the likes. Funny how they evolved into status rides.
This is what makes this channel different: he brings the car into the shop. Wow. All other channels show their opinions about features and finish. But this guy brings the car in the shop and puts it up on a lift to explain the mechanics.
If possible, can you make a review video for the 2020 model? Kinda curious if they straightened out the kinks from this model. Thanks! Love your video themes and content btw!!
"Whether", not "weather" and "A" missing from "boardroom" which is one word. I'd DM this, but not sure how to do that here. LOVELY review. Love the cinematic approach. A proper production AS USUAL! Look forward to the the next review.

Excelent movie not only as a review but like a experience in to the world of cars, thank you and do not stop because what you do is amazing, it's a great taste for the senses.
Holy crap - that intro... Sounds AMAZING on my Audi Pro T3 (which I hardly ever use - in the kitchen). I'm gonna have to Bluetooth my 'goose more often.
How is it that these premium vehicles can't seem to provide adequate processing power for these new electronic systems? Has any car manufacturer done these right?
They need various various shades of brown (latte, vanilla, mocha etc) as leather options for when you spill your favorite grande coffee beverage on those seats. Cool that they are aiming for recycled aluminum and going with a supercharger instead of a twin turbo v6 like everyone else. Let’s see if they’ve figured out some of the inevitable quality concerns within the next 2 years
Range Rover imo have the best looking SUV's. I have never owned 1, but if the reliability issues is for real that is a damn shame. Especially considering you can buy a 15k Hundai or Kia that will probably never give you any issues for 100k miles.. My Jeep liberty did not have any issues until 100k, then the water pump, thermostat, heater core, ac compressor, evap, altenatator needed replaced since. That is expected imo... But is that the type of problems a Range rover has or is it worse
Breaks my heart to see this kind of quality videos getting so little attention. This should have way more views.
@Csab how would sending someone money fix his concern of the video getting so "little" attention? I don't follow your logic..
Giving money would not increase exposure.
I’m suprised top gear US or some other motoring show has yet to pick this guy up
126k views? That’s a lot. Plus he’s got a bunch of subscribers, I would say he’ll be just fine.
Jordan Johnson I’ve given savage goose over $50,000 in donations...put your money where your mouth is boy!👴🏿
This comment should even have way more likes

Good to know it can. Wife has fallen for it.
Leasing is your friend with these for sure. Amazing quality video, as usual, I really would love to see these hit Netflix
Best car reviews on RUclips. Unmatched. Should be a TV show
Don't make the mistake of buying it. Lease it
Vehicle Virals lease or buy, it's still a mistake.
Even don’t lease it. Just have a test drive and go for Lexus....
Leasing will still cause a lot of headaches due to it will have lot of issues that will requires lot of trips to the dealership for repairs.
Like my friend says. Make sure you buy 2 because one will be in the shop.
Yep...Just ask Doug DeMuro.
I’m your stereotypical “old man yells at cloud” car enthusiast but I would lease one of these in a heartbeat. Gorgeous.
One of the best car reviews I have ever seen. Well done.
That damn downshift lag!
If I had to choose between Yuri, Jacob and Mr. Goose as a boyfriend, I don't know what the hell I'd do.
When are The Straight Pipes and Savage Geese going to do a team-up?
Collab! Collab! Collab!
elton john they all have their qualities but what about Turbowski?
It's rather surprising as that transmission can downshift extremely quick. In sport mode in my 5.7L Grand Cherokee it downshifts very quick.
Luxury cars nowadays are like disposable cars. They are only good for a few years and they become a headache after a while. Best is to lease them, if you wanna have one. Leasing a Range Rover will still cause a lot of headaches due to it will have lot of issues that will requires lots of trips to the dealership for repairs.
that’s how range rover, mercedes or whatever stay rich and getting richer. Not just selling cars, but also selling parts and services for life
That's why so many European car manufacturers still exist.
driftbro They only exist because there's a large group of people who have low self -esteem who are more impressing other people than buying a reliable car, and now people can just lease these pile of trash and dump them in 3 year before the warranty expires.
I can't agree more.🖒
Boy I look forward to each of your tests.Your technical knowledge and preparation for each video is far above average.
I don't understand the low number of subscribers you deserve MUCH better.
Keep up the great work thank you very much .
Have to ask the dealer about the "Doug DeMuro" extended warranty.
He said the only one for life is from CarMax, im sure range rover isnt dumb enough to do it lol.
Yes HONEY YES
This is by far the best review of the Velar, it's so great to go into so many technical details and not just how nice the leather is, thank you!
I'm on my 4th RR in 22 years and would never dream of buying anything else. My current one is at about 100k - half of which was spent towing my daughter's horsebox.

What an absolute, masterpiece of a review, a beautiful vehicle, great to watch on a hum drum Monday, made my evening. Keep the great content coming, love from winnipeg Canada 🍁 🍻
One of the best car reviewers I’ve ever watched, and I’ve watched hundreds
i dealt with a Supercharged Range Rover Sport and that car made me fall in love with supercharged V8 engines.
These guys are way too underrated, I ran into their videos by accident this year and have been a viewer ever since.
What a fantastic review. Easily your best yet and that’s saying something. You don’t make a bad review. Well done goose
That wade depth is just incredible. Wow. That would be awesome to experience in person.
I'd like to think every car is obtainable to just about any enthusiast(used car market). However this vehicle with it's starting price and percieved unreliability proved the exception. As soon as I see a new Savage upload, I automatically hit the like button.
Absolutely first class video and review. A lot of thought went into it. Love the car. Great reviewer. Thanks.
He complains about the door handles freezing up in cold climates, but at the same time shows a clip of them being tested to -20 deg C and 4mm of ice - and they still work.....
The b roll is so good I almost think the car adverts have got decent before the video XD
This is the best review I’ve seen!
Savagegeese, the type of guy to make the most epic intro shots in the world.
Piano Black trim can be protected by Paint Protection Film aka PFF. Ofcourse you would need to it as soon as you drive it off the lot. Also using mini DA polishers can correct the scratches on the piano black trim if they aren't deep. Just an FYI.

This was my first choice too, but I decided to purchase a 2003 Toyota Corolla instead. It was a tough choice, but I am happy with it.
Haha
It was a real tough choice between this and the new Lincoln Navigator which looks amazing. Both are right in my price range but then I chose to settle for a mode of transportation called the bus. Denny. Believe me, sukky little scratches on the console will be the least of your problems if you bought this shitheap money-pit.
Brilliant video and review. So comprehensive, so professional. Exactly what we’ve all come to expect from you.
Best to buy these luxury vehicles used - 2-3 years old and then get a certified warranty to cover up to 100K miles. Basically, let the rich folk buy them new and then wait for them to get done playing with them...much more affordable.
It does look stunning tho
It looks like a shoe
futility of human endeavor that’s one unreliable show
Like Jennifer Lopez before people eventually started seeing girls with way bigger asses
As always, insane production value. You really need a dedicated off road section for SUVs and such.
All these people who never owned a Range Rover and who never could afford one cribbing about quality. We have a Range Rover for 3.5 years with no issues. Just waiting for the supply of the Velar to pickup a bit in my region. We will get one of these.
mansees had one, hated it, spent more time in the work shop then on road. I have the Prado now.
mansees you must have lucked out and have a good one, probably one of few.
Just because you have money doesnt mean you have sence.
mansees ha all these are absolute garbage I tried it for 2 weeks went in the shop 2 times got rid and just upgraded to a panamera Porsche is quite the upgrade
Is it going to be reliable? I like how you summarize each vehicle at the end of the title: SUV Jewelry. Every summary makes sense!
Fantastic quality video. Thanks for doing one on the Velar. Waiting to receive my Velar April 26th
retro I think I saw you broken down on the side of the road the other day.
NPC #6754122 ?
My thanks also goes to all your patreon supporters.

Wanted to thank you for this video, the only review that shows the car from below!
Amazing exterior style...1st place concept to road!
Awesome camera angles. Tremendous work done here.
Buying one this month cannot wait!!!
this is one of the best review i have ever seen, ties in with the doug demuro's velar review
Man those montages and panning shots were just phenomenal. This, as always, was an amazing review. Your videos never seem to disappoint.
After being a double evoque owner? That squeak NEVER goes away. Even had a windscreen leak on me.
Creaking and rattling? You make it sound like it’s not a concern, lol. Forget it. Not spending $70k for a beautiful car but rattles when you hit bumps. What did you go for in the end?
Awesome review! Can't help but to subscribe.
So how do yo really feel about it ? Buy now or wait for the Ranger Raptor in Lincoln trim ?
Ford does not own RR anymore...
4th weeks of ownership the AC doesn’t blew cold air had replace under warrenty !!!!
Did you have recall done for vent/defrost issue?
I own one so I have a vested opinion and I thought it was one of the best reviews I’ve seen. I agree about most of your thoughts. It’s was expensive and it might be the best car I have ever owned, and it has the possibility of being the worst car I have ever owned. Only time will tell but it’s so good looking that right now I love it. I just hope all the technology holds up over the test of time.
John S does it ride rough?
Usually people defend their purchase to the extent of insanity so I find your viewpoint very refreshing thank you.
Two years later do you still own it?
Two years down the line, did you have any issues and do you still own it as I’m looking to buy the R-Dynamic HSE.
@@MrAnderson321 did you buy it? If so, how do you like it and is it holding?
Its nice that you’ve got a new garage and stuff but, turbowski is never there anymore! 😕
Great review and quality video as usual. What percentage would really use this off road? Earlier Range Rovers were owned by ranchers and the likes. Funny how they evolved into status rides.
Great work as usual!
I’d like to see a Velar SVR made...
Another great review!
The best visual art car review on youtube!
"Whether", not "weather" and "A" missing from "boardroom" which is one word. I'd DM this, but not sure how to do that here. LOVELY review. Love the cinematic approach. A proper production AS USUAL! Look forward to the the next review.
That quote was purposely to trigger Grammar Nazis! Thanks for the kind words hopefully you enjoy the next one.
LMAO! You're a horrible person! I'm yet to be disappointed by a video you've made my good sir. Carry on!
BMW had perfect navi screen integration in the E46/E39/E38, way back. Too bad that was ditched.
Oh, and always start with the negatives and end with the positives. The last is what people remember (most).
Why do people say Range Rovers are a headache. My brother has a 2014 sport svr and it’s been bulletproof.
Nice and informative as per usual Mr Geese. Thank you.
The transition shot from getting in is cool 😎
Thanks for the detailed review 👏
Top notch production! You Sir, are a master of your craft. All the best
Wow, best review I have seen!
Old reputations sometimes clouds our vision. I have a friend who has had a Range Rover for years, no problems. And some of these new cars just work
Best intro in the world!
I agree!
Excelent movie not only as a review but like a experience in to the world of cars, thank you and do not stop because what you do is amazing, it's a great taste for the senses.
The weather in the bord room sure is nice.
That introduction made me emotional
You can polish out the console scratches. I've already done it on a Velar and many other cars. You don't have to replace it.
Point is you shouldn't have to do that. Poor material choice in high traffic area.
The intro: Clap, Clap, Clap.Well Done!
26:15 Then why do you complain about the Expedition interiors to be cheap?
Thank you so much for this review, I am 100% sure now. I am getting mine delivered in October....
The music is perfect for this
You make Great videos! just in time for lunch, thanks!
How come you have only 119k subs? You deserve over a million.
Again, sick!!!! until it's in the shop......often.....
Looks so beautiful. Why can't Audi, Porsche or BMW make anything so distinctive looking.
Holy crap - that intro... Sounds AMAZING on my Audi Pro T3 (which I hardly ever use - in the kitchen). I'm gonna have to Bluetooth my 'goose more often.
When I first saw videos and pictures of it, I thought it looked great, but after seeing them on the road, I’m not a fan of the design.
I’d love to see you do a review on the previous Audi S4 (13-16) and the Jaguar XE. They both have a supercharged V6.
Thanks for a very interesting and informative video , nice one 👌
How is it that these premium vehicles can't seem to provide adequate processing power for these new electronic systems? Has any car manufacturer done these right?
ktpinnacle BMW one is pretty good and buttery smooth. So does Audi.
Great review as always.
They need various various shades of brown (latte, vanilla, mocha etc) as leather options for when you spill your favorite grande coffee beverage on those seats. Cool that they are aiming for recycled aluminum and going with a supercharger instead of a twin turbo v6 like everyone else. You can get the scratches out of the black plastic with watch crystal polish
That intro music was NOICE!
FYI I don't give a fuck if this thing sucks, I love it. Favorite SUV right now.
