- Опубликовано: 7 апр 2023
- Hey guys! A great time this week as the Agents descended on HQ to help thrash the 1937 Chevy brakes and fuel system together, and Tom and I put together a snazzy temporary exhaust to get me to the shop for a real one...
Jim stopped in with his plated 1979 Mercedes 300SD and we went for a cruise, and of course Dean is back with a Fabulous Flip 1967 Buick LeSabre for us!
We are very happy to announce our new "Dean's Greasy Flips" beer cozies! Get yours today, as they are a limited edition! Also: We just got in a new shipment of "Same Old Shit" coffee mugs, so get them while they last, haha!
Oh! I do not have a Telegram account or any bullshit contest going! Do not respond to any of these "contest winner" replies; they are a scam.
Thanks to everyone who subscribed to our channel here, and thanks also for all of your "likes" and comments!

Dean doesn't just sell a greasy flip, he sells dreams.
😂 that's deep!!!
Gave ya a hard #31 like on that one!!
@@christianheidt5733 but they are somewhat greasy dreams
Dreams / Nightmares, your mileage may vary ; )
Loved the intro to Deans section, bordering on artistry now
It's a beautiful day.
Unfortunately my brother had a stroke and passed away this morning. He was only 65.
He wll be missed.
I am so sorry! My condolences.
Sincere condolences from everyone here, Robert. All the best from me and Francine...
Condolences brother😢
Gotta love Dean! "Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?" Anyone old enough to remember that Buick line?
Yep,. Need a 61 or 2 convertible.. 😂
I have the record that sings when she really had rather have a Buick
Or, this is NOT your fathers' Buick!
@@mikethomas5797 that was Oldsmobile.
My grandfather gave me my 1st car a 73 Buick Regal and on that day he told me when better cars are built, Buick will build them, apparently another slogan!
When Jim activated the sun roof, I was screaming NOOOOOOOOOOO! in Slow motion. Very risky move.
Nice to see Dean really maturing.....
Oh yeah! He's a proper businessman now... He even has an Oldsmobile! Haha cheers buddy!
Define " maturing? One guy does greasy flips-- the other guy wrestles rusty clips!😆
One of the all time great episodes of 'Flips'.
My dad was born in 1938 , and his 1st car was a 37 chevy coup...
He paid $30 for it . Lol.
My dad has always been a car guy ..
When I was a kid , my dad & I would go shopping for back row specials as he called them...
Found a 68 Chrysler New Yorker that ran just terrible ..
My dad drove it to the boat docks & popped the hood...
He immediately found the issue ...
Hood insulation had got sucked into the carb...
Pulled it out & she purred ...
He stuffed it back in , drove it back to the dlr running like shit & bought it ..
I loved that car !
But he sold it & made a tidy profit...
For once I'm actually interested in one of Dean's Greasy Flips!! Too bad that LeSabre didn't have a 430 Buick big block! That would scream in Myle's Buick two door. I've got a 430 Buick out of a 1967 Wildcat in my 1968 GS400. It moves pretty darn good!! Cheers to all the agents! Another gem of an episode!! LOVE hearing that old Chevy inline six rumble to life!!
Beautiful Merc Jim. Just perfect. Glad you appreciate it.
Dean's Greasy Buick was a wicked car in its day.
The 37 is the hottest girl at the barn dance.
Myles your 63 Poncho should be a straight line killer. I had one and couldn't finish it back in the early 80s. They are the perfect sleepers Myles. Cheers you maniacs. 🇨🇦
Thanks James!
Im looking forward to being "hard on it"!
The ol' Chev's engine sounds very healthy! A very encouraging sign after considering all the work done. Can't wait to see her moving under her own power again!
I've always had a soft spot for the art deco era cars, from the elegant swooping lines to the typeface of the dials. Even if the '37 Chev isn't anything special, she's still such a neat car!
What wasn't particularly special then has become very special today simply because so few have survived, especially in original condition!
I'm not only the proud owner of Dean's Greasy Flips but I have personally slept (or slept one off) in each and every car... Each and every vehicle we sell comes with a weeks worth of newspapers that can double as a blanket on those cool Canadian nights...
Let me grab a beer and I will be right with yah.
About time we got another Ashley-feature episode. He’s a hero to all the married car guys out there.
It looks like he never even get's dirty when he turns wrenches...he also looks like a real agent...just saying
When you spoke of adding a fuel filter to the line I imagined those terrible plastic parts we put everywhere and are a sore to the eyes. I was happy to see this beautiful vintage filter you had: That is the was to go!
Another outstanding show! The 37 Chev is a beauty. It appears that when guys hang out in your shed a lot more gets done,,, In my shed it always ends up with us just sitting around telling lies. Cheers from Iowa
Cheers Randahl! Glad you got a laugh... All the best from here!
You got a great sponsor Randahl and his ads are "tastefully" done!
Chopping a hole in the inner fender was a dealer "fix", fortunately for my parents the service writer let them know about it and gave them a choice. Living in rust country at the time, they declined the dealer butchery.
Definitely, no plastic Fuel filter, now it looks original good job, Ash. The ole chevy sounds fantastic Scott you must be stoked.
I am! Test drive coming soon!
@@coldwarmotors Can't wait! You have a gift of keeping us in suspense! Cheers!
Hey so that's where my carburetor went! Are all the pieces of vent window included in the sale of that Buick?
Extremely disappointed you didn't stick with the elongated forward facing exhaust on the 37! Also, those Gm inner fenders are the bain of my existence! I'd suffer through an eternity of winters with no heat before I ever remove another one of those hellish things.
Yeah, thanks Kyle, you know my pain!
Probably why i havnt bothered fixing the 60 poncho yet. Damn gm designs
..hi Scott...so nice to see the 37 Chev getting close......glad you guys are finally getting some decent weather....

The only thing we are going to pile on you Scott is well done (as always)! 😎
I have to say a fuel filter with a nice glass bowl is a thing of joy to watch....
This is coming from a life long Ford Guy... That Chevy is a really classy & cool car and it's going to be great to come along for the first drive. A nother pice of art/history coming at us from CWM's. Doing the Car God's work & saving the 🌎 at the same time. Cheers Scott. 👏👏👏
37 is looking sweet. Loved Dean's typical wake up and breakfast scene
Hoping to one day see some cars Al is working on. My brother who is a bit older than me way back in the early 80's had a Mini woody wagon (I currently own a late model mini countryman) and he went to a beach in Vancouver and fell asleep and got really burned. Driving home with nothing on but jean shorts over a bridge a little old lady rear ended him. When he got home my sister helped him into the house and he spent 2 days in bed sick, don't think I've ever seen my brother that upset when he recovered and we went and looked at his car that was covered in a tarp a few days after the event.
I need that Buick of Dean's like I need a chapped a$$ but damn...with his smooth sales skills, I now can't live without it! Dean, you're good.
Thanks Scott. A bit of something for everybody there. Fabulous progress being made at CWM. The ring pull dub ins on the flips sequences were very funny. Actually the whole thing was. All the best, Mart in England.
Thanks Mart! Glad you got a laugh...Cheers!
@@coldwarmotors Sounds of my youth. Some days, the cozies were to keep the beer from freezing.
The new dealer prep at Dean's Emporium is premium :-)
Another great episode guys! By the way, Dean's '67 LeSabre would have had a 340 originally. That is where the AFB carb and air cleaner in the trunk came from. Can't wait to see the '37 on the road. Great work!
The '37 sounds good, you've overcome a lot of things to get to this point, love Dean's '67 LeSabre also,be a good starting point for a cool cruiser that one doesn't see out there everyday.
The team of buddies wrenching on the '37 looked and sounded exactly like it should- serious progress while simultaneously, randomly teasing and making smart-ass comments. Can't wait to see the first test drive ❤
Having recently survived replacing a blower motor and heater core with a buddy on a '68 Impala, my heart instantly went out to Myles as he wrestled with the inner fender on his '63. Myles: if you were in the U.S., you'd be eligible for the Presidential Medal of Freedom for tackling that job outside. Well done!👍
Hello from Memphis TN. Love that the old Chevy is coming along. I'm retired old guy and it really makes me want to do one more build. I did a 54 Chev truck and a 55 second series truck. Would love to find something like the green Buick to redo. So many have died from the tinworms here in the south they are kinda scarce. Keep on keeping on
Must be Saturday again!
Hey great progress brakes , fuel system , and aircraft exhaust Nice working with your friends on these projects I remember my friends would always say the worst job under the car was the owners position
Good progress on the 37, Scott!
Thanks for the episode. Have a great week.
Thanks, you too!
Dean the man always a lot of fun 😂
Good to see the Chevy getting closer 👍 Dean has a lot of high potential cars there......If I was high, I might see the potential .😂
Congrats to the dedicated rebuild crew on the 37 Chevy. Each step forward is a win. Like all bring them back to life projects, when one is done 2 more pop up. But this crew is getting them done and done correctly. Cheers from East Texas.
Thank you for another great episode. Nice Koozie Dean!!! Happy Easter!
That bronzeish color on that 37 Chevy is absolute fantastic!!!
To change the heater core in a '65 Skylark, the inner fender on the passenger side has to be removed to get to the external heater box to then remove the heater core. And of course the battery box has to come out to remove that inner fender. Yes, often a hole is just cut into the inner fender to get to the hidden bolts. Then a patch normally gets welded back in place. The '64 Skylark is the same situation. I did have to change the heater core in that car many years ago. I was much younger and more agile then. But to change the heater core on a '63, '64, '65 Riviera the entire console and half the dashboard has to come out first. That is a royal pain in the butt!
Back in the mid 1970s a friend of mine owned a '68 Buick Special, which needed a heater core replacement. In the factory shop manual was a detailed procedure which included not only removing the battery and the inner fender, but also marking the firewall at a certain location, drilling a large hole in order to access a bolt, then plugging the hole with a rubber body plug after the job was done.
Such unforgettable fun!
I would do that any day compared to removing the dash to change fan and heater core on second gen ram truck.
Dean’s Buick LeSabre would make a good winter beater for next year.
Not quite sure why, but I LOVE Deans Greasy Flips!
Hey glad you got a laugh! Cheers...
Love the Chevy updates. That car is so clean and straight. Seems so much younger than it's age. Hope to see it run soon. I remember when you got it. Not a typical CWM car, not even close
This episode makes me want to sing, O Canada 🇨🇦
A three beer can crack on D's G F's.
It deserves a ten crack rating for fun and originality.
Thanks for all, all you guys. Still my Saturday's best show.
My Saturday is now complete - CWM is here !!! LOVE that Mercedes!
Another great episode Scott and agents, was well worth the wait. I was glad to see the Chev coming together, she is such a sweetheart. Im also glad to see Dean put on his best greasy flips jacket (also doubles as court attire) to try and sell the newest gem in his life.
I cannot wait to see the cars you are getting next week. If your friends are giving you a hard time about two purchases, you know they are epic....like the Montererdi Safari lol.
Nice bit of teamwork on the old Chevy
Nothin like a Springtime Dean's Greasy Flips!!!!
One of these days spring will show up and you can take the Chevy for a spin. Nice seeing things come together for the old girl. Jim's Mercedes is a sweet ride. My dad's cousin had one of those and would drive it back and forth from their farm,(45 minutes away) to Regina, daily. Had that thing for quite a long time before he gave it up. The Le Sabre would make quite a cool project car if I didn't have so many vehicles on the go already.
Love the 300SD. Sold them new back in the day. We used to say to owners" Which end does the cement come out of : ) !"
The 37 Chevy is a sweet ride. Can’t wait to see it going down the road. Like the ride in Mercedes. Dean is a hoot. Thanks for sharing! ❤️💯
Great Dogs Scott! Wonderful part of CWM! I give it to Miles-hats off for doing things the RIGHT way! As all of you do!
Happy Easter to All! Rich
Thanks Rich!
Outdoor wrenching is not my fav, but love seeing this poncho move forward
@@mylesmoparfreak6562 Your so very welcome! Have changed a few heater cores and fans in my quest for a warm car in early years. Never had a new car but "wrenching" the right way the first time always was best! Love your auto's "rumble"! Take good care! Rich
The '67 LeSabre would originally have a 340 V8, not a 350. Either someone swapped in a later model air cleaner, or they swapped in a complete 350.
I'm actually leaning toward the latter thought, 'cause I don't recall the 340 using a well type choke thermostat as seen at 36:19.
Whatever the case, the car seems to have potential. It could be a nice comfy cruiser again.
Why did it have a 400 badge on the side? Check at 35:47
Yes, Marc our resident Buick expert said the same thing...Cheers!
@@n1r0l If a base LeSabre was ordered with an automatic transmission it came with the Super Turbine 300 two-speed transmission.
The LeSabre 400 was equipped with the Turbo Hydramatic 400 three-speed transmission.
And, the Buick 340 V8 was only offered in 1966 and 1967. The switch to the 350 V8 came in 1968.
That Chev is such a beats. Listening to the old six cylinder is therapeutic.
The whole machine just screams with kinesthetic joy. Thanks for the insight and entertainment.
Cheers Ary! Glad you are enjoying seeing the old Chev come together like I am... Test drive soon!
Saturday afternoon roll that video and roll something else too
Bong oclock
Took the 17 Street exit to One Fih Thirh East Clareview to Dean's Greasy Flips. Sweetened my offer with a 12 pack of Old Milwaukee and got one heckuva deal!
LOVE the Chev! and i’m a Mopar guy 😆 Especially love it when Al comes over! So funny! Can you do a visit to his sometime? I have had so many Minis and want to see where his one is at 😊
Keep up the great work 👍🏼
I love tonights episode , you should call it the Coldwarmotors Variety Show . You showcase something for everyone (Car wise ) that is . Thanks Again Cheers !
Thanks Kenneth... Glad you enjoyed it!
I never get bored watching when Tom is the foreman. Great sound on a straight pipe!
Well, I don’t get bored watching CWM anyway, but Tom is a hoot because he plays goofy but he knows EXACTLY what he’s doing…
The 37 just gets better and better, good to see that Dean has lost none of his sweet-talking salesman skills
Having all hands on deck for the Chev was essential for completion. The brake bleeding is a agonizing undertaking and recall my experience after replacing a master cylinder in my old VW and naively assumed I could do it myself which turned out to be a fiasco. Far better to have a circle of friends and beers (equipped with Dean’s coozies) on board for the task. Besides, the banter and chatter between those turning the wrenches heard here is both hilarious and educational!
Saturday at the compound, almost all hands on deck. Dean knows style is a key component to sales , checking his hair and ensemble before beginning his presentation it's a how to course...😂 thx for the invite
Yes Cold War Motors Time Hi Scott Love ya Frankers looking Amazing as always Hi Dean and whole crew
How good did that fuel filter work out....it looks great, all cleaned up and installed.....what great friends you have!!
FRANKER'S,!!!!
Heater motor, behind the wheel well??
The Chevy sounds great!
Glad you got the brakes working too!!!!
Who would have imagined all these guys would be rallying on this car in 2023?
Nice to see deans field of dreams back on the show another great Saturday night video here in the UK cheers and cold beers scott and agents
Glad you enjoyed it! All the very best from everyone here!
Love watching yall. Especially Dean's Greasy Flips yall rock
Thanks Janet! Glad you got a laugh...
Only the finest of beer cozy's will do for a cold and refreshing can of Old Milwaukee. The official beer of Dean's Greasy Flips. Old Milwaukee, it's so good when it hits your lips.
Awesome! Time to crack open a beer 🍺
Oh yeah!
And a green cigarette!
Great to see the old Chev going back together. Great video today. Thanks!
Runs and stops, you are getting closer to having it on the road any day now, love the show keep up the great work.
That's the plan!
So it’s official, Scott is a box man, not a rack man. Thanks for steering us in the right direction.
- Here's a hard earned pro tip: whenever installing any component with multiple parts, screws or bolts, NEVER say "last one", always say "only 10 more to go", because that last one will always break, strip or bugger up without that incantation to ward off the "last one" demon. It's been tried and true for years now.
"If it don't clatter it don't matter!"
Hi there! The '37 Chevy is getting very close to being a driver and legal! In my predriving days my folks had a '68 Bel Air that had a noisy heater fan. After my Mom wrecked the front of it we fixed the fan when we replaced the front clip. Jim comes up with another nice Mercedes! I recently got a great deal on a '87 560 SEL. After having driven mostly trucks & Jeeps for the last few decades it's quite the strange machine. It's the only car I've ever owned that has 170 MPH speedometer. I'll be flipping it soon to finance more questionable Jeep purchases and to finish a couple I already have.
That fuel filter is perfect on the 37. I sure like Jim's Mercedes.
Another great episode. Happy Easter. Summer is closer now.
Changing the heater fan is nothing compared to washer fluid fill on some of the 'Modern' cars! I hope you're not planning on straight pipes! Put a good muffler on that beauty!
Like Mercedes ML's. Over fill the bottle and you destroy the ABS pump underneath it....
Dean's greasy flips: " we rip off everyone- and pass the savings on to you!"
It's kinda hard to parody a used car dealer, but Dean is fantastic at out hyping the out dated! :)
Good progress on the Chevy Scott, can't wait to see it tooling down the road again. That was a sweet find.
"That's what I keep tellin ya...but you won't listen".
My own idiocy is hoping to see the turquoise refrigerator drawer in every episode. And, theeeerrrrre it is! Love Al's Granada, too. A true bachelor barge! For a split second in the video, Dean is having a beer at the Savoy (Plymouth, that is).
Great show this week. Really fun to watch!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I can't wait to see you drive that Chevy. What a beauty she is.
I know I shouldn't tell someone what to do, but Al, PLEASE do yourself a favor and quit smoking.
Dean has a potential good flip with the Buick!
Myles, amazing work there. You have alot of patience.
Have a great day, thanks guys.
One thing off topic. There are guys who are working on old Army stuff and they are deadly serious about it: That makes the work we make with our Sixties fullsize cars peanuts. This guy told me he owns a WW2 Dodge WC (and some Jeeps as well).
He will drive with a group of other nutcases from Switzerland to Normandy to celebrate the success of D-day.
Those of the group who are driving the GMC trucks often even with a trailer will spend many thousand $ only on gas. Those vehicles use about 1 liter per km!
The '37 sounds great! Thanks for letting us hang out. See you Thursday.
That 37 Chev Six Cylinder is awesome.
XJ Jeep had double hood latches .I worked for a few people with nice old Mercedes . But on A farm near Goulburn a Mrs Anthony second richest woman in the world 🌎 at the time had a dark blue 6.3 litre early Mercedes with white trim always keep in a she’d covered an low miles . She also had a mint FSJ with the 360 AMC . She has since passed now . Yep that car was beautiful . 👍🏻🇦🇺💯⛽️
Lol. Dean wakes up in an old Buick, cracks an Old Milwaukee throws on his Sport jacket and crawls out to "Sell!"
Can't wait to see the chevy driving this summer! Good show Scott.
Riding along in Jim's Mercedes brought back memories of the only one I've owned. It was a white 4 door 6 cylinder 1988 300SE that I just happened to see while at a yard sale. It had sat for 3 years after being shunned by the owners kid who refused to drive it because it had a dent 😂 300 bucks later I drove it home! Fuel pump, tires and a tune up is all I ended up investing. I really liked the car but couldn't turn down an offer on it, I let my dad borrow it one night and his friend decided he had to have the car.
LOve Scott's remark about the new "old" fuel filter. ..."This solved so many problems,..(and created several more" SO TRUE! Keep going Scott and the Agents for here in SW Ohio T
Real, good, time. That stovebolt is gonna love the muffler..
This is 100% bonding guy humor. And not a Bud Lite to be seen.
Dean never fails to sell. The 37 sounds real good.
Hey Scott, another fine far north episode! Frankers' intro leaping like a gazelle was very cool as was her pesky behavior around the Poncho inner fender project. You got some great help from several agents after you + Tom straight-piped the 37! Finding that glass bowl filter for the 86 year old added a nice period touch! The sound of the pipe revealed the truly basic nature of those early GM sixes. Move over Massey Fergusson there's a motorcar passing through! Dean's Greasy Flips are always an incoherent hoot Le Sabre indeed! The wrap ride 'n drive with Jim's 300D was a journey back in time. Unfortunately the high HP contemporary Maybach and Mercedes feature self deleting head bolts and other expensive breakdowns while offering the 40-50,000 mile thrill of 600 hp before major repairs whilst that 300D is less than half way through its half million mile life expectancy! That ride also featured inuendo snark to beat the band and here we are at the raw rock outro... Thanks for the artistry!
Yes! I just ordered my Dean's Greasy Flips beer cozy. Fuck yeah! 😂
Always like looking through Dean's Greasey flips, most of those vehicles didn't get to Australia, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
The beer cracking open during Dean's Greasy Flips was perfect!
