Wow. I haven't seen anything like this on mine. JP knows what he's doing vs. whomever did this hack job.
I doubt JP would do that to a cage, looks like it's had another pair of hands on it. Welds are completely different.
Yep definitely not JP. I have pictures of the top half they produced and its completely different to what's now on it... Or now not 😂
Does the welds look like the other ones on the chassis ? Terry is claiming the previous chassis builder did those parts. If so, the welds should be the same as all the rest.
I've spoken to Dave the previous chassis builder hes not had dealings with him since 2021 so wasn't him . Jp was after that then the mysterious scaffolder did this

Wonder how much the owner had put into this for someone to "build" and ended up with a bodge job. Even think the original Datsun was welded better and safer than this.... even if it was like 3 cars in 1! 😳
I'd be absolutely gutted if it was mine and be knocking on the original builders door getting my money back!

I hear your concern but I'm fairy happy that only the top half of the chassis is like this. After abit of digging on the history of the car it seems the top half was swapped several times

I think I'd rather put the body back on and hold it in place. Then build the steel supports inside the body. Otherwise its kinda 'hit and miss' trying to build the support frame outside then putting the body on.
I'm confident I can make the frame in the exact same place that it is now but I will put the body back on to confirm before full weld up 👍
Them welds broke easier than me trying to not go out drinking.

Hi! I have a “Prova” Countach replica. I’m interested in that drivetrain setup. What transmission? Boxter S? I heard that it bolts right up to the 4.2. I currently have a 327 mated to the Fiero getrag 5 speed in a transverse arrangement, but might change it up to Audi
Yep the boxster s g86. It's actually audi made so does bolt right up to the 4.2. Another stronger option is the audi 01E box but they are a tad too long really
