    Nice to see progress.
If you want more longevity then give the fuel tanks something to sit on. It would benifit from a bar or tray to support the base plate and use rubber tape to isolate it. This would more evenly distribute the load.
The way the tank is designed is going to put alot of twisting force on the end plates since the bolts are so close together. I bet they will be atleast 30kg when full.
Typically when using aluminium tanks they are strapped sown to a flat surface, very rarely suspended at the sides as aluminium easily fatigues. (think of the pull ring top of a drinks can, a few cycles and it fractures. If you have ever tried to unbend aluminium you will see it almost always creates stress fractures)
    Just trying to help 🙂
Keep up the good work 👍

I always appreciate the Input 🙏. The longevity does concern me and I did think of trying to flat mount with some sort of tank straps but also that bar that runs behind it is part of the 5 link suspension. I do think it's something I will re visit down the line 👌

I like the threaded boss idea. It does look better than big pieces of angle welded on. I’ll probably use this.

I will probably look at doing a folded sheet metal type design for the tabs that will hold all the flat floor panels on as threaded bosses for that could be a tad labour intensive 😅

@@TheDIYTuners I was thinking the same thing. I can order laser cut tabs with hardware pre-inserted. It’ll be super easy to zap those onto the tubes. I just got a bunch of boot hinges made… laser cut and bent by SendCutSend.

Might have to do a double order 😅

Excellent job , bravo. It will be a lovely and very rare car once completed.. Would you know if the body is a modified Prova one or is there someone who sells them ? Would you know if the rear hubs are closer to each other compared to the prova car? Many thanks and good luck with all your great projects!

Yep this is a modified prova I belive. No idea on the hubs as I got the chassis as it is today

There is two tanks because they didn't have room they got the radiators above them to cool each side of the engine it was all about packaging but there is a tube connecting them to keep your fuel even left to right...iimho

Nice update. I was wondering. As long as the tanks are right doesn't really matter about the mounts. Although the OCD monster in me would want to correct that spar!!! Sows ear, silk purse?

@TheDIYTuners I bought a brake pedal/servo mount and modified it, should have just started from scratch. Having something in front of you is sometimes what you need. It's all good fun!

    Great videos!!! Fantastic project.
Where can I find Countach chassis plans to weld my own?

    • @TheDIYTuners
      @TheDIYTuners  7 месяцев назад +1

I don't know anyone who holds plans to be fair. I belive this was made copying an already built chassis.

@@TheDIYTuners I watched all so far but have not seen any reference to another shop other than a body shop. You have it in your posession you can see what they did . I can not see it. Im not going to bag on any one. I just want the truth? When you say body shop are you meaning whatever thier name is. I see posts from anonymous talking about his craftsman ship but not knowing who they are makes me not believe them. I used to build countaches in the 90s from Prova then bill Kester John Easton bodies. I have a Strickland now Im building. Thsts why I asked you for frame info. I just want to know that who I talk to is not bullshotting me. The bald guy seems full of beans. Jmho.
