me too! check out the movie Speed Zone with John Candy, when the Countach skips across the water. that blew my mind as a kid. still one of my favorite movies at 40 lol
@@stealthhtm23 Yes, I remember the movie starts out with the cops chasing a red countach. I completely forgot about that one. Also, Cannonball Run 2 featured a lambo if my hazy memory is correct.
I'm not a huge Countach fan. I much much prefer the styling of the Diablos... But that color, that interior.... This is the best looking Countach I've ever seen.
Love hearing people who actually drive these cars dispelling the myth that they're horrible to drive....no doubt perpetuated by online trolls who have never seen one let alone driven or owned one. Every Countach owner I've watched on yt is super passionate about the driving experience.
The Countach, in all its iterations is my favourite car, my local Building Contractor drove a white 5000QV in the 80s and would park it at his offices near my home. Because we are all so used to be-winged, brightly coloured Supercars nowadays, it’s difficult to portray how absolutely outrageous this car was when it was new, to see this driving through a housing estate amongst 1980s Fords, Hondas, BMWs etc was hilarious, even Ferrari’s looked tame next to these cars, they are incredible 😎
I've never seen a Tahiti Blue Countach before. I grew up with a poster of a red Countach with gold wheels on my wall, so I've always lusted after that, but this color is amazing. It's not just one of the prettiest Countaches I've ever seen, but one of the prettiest cars period. Wow
It is nice to see a person of your caliber that actually knows & understands these cars. I grew up when the Countache's competition was the 512BB that I actually preferred. However I really came to appreciate the Countache when I saw my first one without the wing. It is simply amazing how the car is transformed by shedding the wing & how beautiful the car actually is in design. As they say, "it's only original once" so the picnic table should stay intact.
Wowwwww this is special Nevers saw one with this awesome blue exterior color and white interior & white wheels it's just so perfect man... Beautiful car ever
This is exactly what I’ve been wanting from this channel. A 20min plus video. I love this channel, your wealth of information and attention to detail is amazing and very refreshing as most automotive RUclips channels are guys with more money than brains or knowledge of the vehicles they own and “drive”. Please more videos in this length no matter what mark you are covering.
This is pure "car porn". I'm old enough to remember when these were new. The color is absolutely drop dead fabulous. Just stunning. I absolutely love the contrasting white wheels and white leather interior. I was gobsmacked and very excited seeing this in the suggested videos. The only slight drawback is the 25th anniversary style rocker panels. I hope the new owner shows this car and doesn't keep it locked up and hidden away. This car just goes to show how great the 80s really were. I was smiling the whole video. Thank you so very much.
Absolutely love the videos, the amount of knowledge and passion expressed in every video is amazing. If the borders ever open up, I would LOVE to check out the inventory!
Again John stunning spec car, you are clearly plugged in with dealers around the world if you can get your hands on cars of this quality, just beautiful, Rj in Oz
That was a blast from the past. I had forgotten about the Periscopio term for the rear view. Thanks for all your information and passion for these cars.
John's job is picking the greatest of the great, restoring it to it's prime, & then testing it to see if it lives up to the legend It must be hard to "let go" one masterpiece & then work on the next.
Absolutely stunning! - I love that colour combo. I actually prefer QVs without the side skirts but there's no denying that everything about this one comes together just so nice.
I saw a dark blue Wolf Racing Countach LP400 (poorly) parked on the streets of Sapporo, Japan yesterday. It changed my life, it was so beautiful. Gold wheels, black wheel arches, grey pinstriping which sounds weird, but is perfect.
I see exactly this Car on Essen Motorshow in real. That was 22 Years ago. It is realy Insane. I stand one hour and looked on it. I know it, like it was yesterday!
For me, the best sounding Lambo is the one in the intro from Cannonball Run (the black lambo). Whether it was an actual lambo sound, for me, that sound brings me back to my younger years.....
Wow what a great example. I'm 6 foot 2 so my dreams of driving one of these cars has been shattered a bit lately seeing tall people crunch to fit inside them. That jacket/watch combo was looking RIGHT at home in the countach though. cheers
I have several photographs of a Countach in this combination that I took at the now defunct La Bella Machinna d'Italia Italian Car show that was at Sky Top Lodge in Pocono Pennsylvania. Took the pictures back in 2004 when I went up. It was and still is one of my favorite Lamborghini colors ever (my #1 is and always will be Verde Artemis aka Jade Green). This is such a beautiful car! If this car was always overseas it obviously wasn't it but the car I saw was definitely Tahiti Blue.
God dam that sounds good all these new supercars with hybrid tech are cool but will NEVER sound as cool! Cudos to Lamborghini for still making NA V12s and V10s its one of the main parts of the draw for car lovers all over the world you gotta have the noise! I can appreciate the tech & speed of a tesla etc but you need that full experience & the sound is a BIG percentage of that experience! Thanks for another awesome video John 👍
The Countach definitely looks Great in blue🤘🤘. I saw a really cool sky blue Kevlar bonneted and engine covered 1988 5000 Quattrovalve on Tw🐦tter a few weeks ago👍👍
John you mentioned the Cannonball Run Countach. Is it true that Hal Needham had production put wings on it to make it look cooler having seen Walter Wolfs car. People then saw the film and then everybody wanted wings on their Countachs. True or Hollywood story.
Superfan Chris from MN saying hey and another awesome video! Two questions: it often comes up that the Countach is a bad car to drive; do you think part of that comes from people that are too big to drive them? You seem to fit in them very well. And is there a reason that Lamborghini didn't do an SV version of the Countach? Was that basically the 25th Anniversary? Thanks!
If I ever win the Powerball, John and I are going to have a wonderful relationship, lol
No you wont, because he will be busy with my sales! Haha
👍🏿
Second that 👍
Same
No doubt right! First person I’m calling lol
Serious props to the editor of this video the entry montage was on point.
I was obsessed with the Countach as a kid. I did a 6th grade class presentation on the car in 1988. I even had a subscription to Motor Trend magazine.

@@ericswires8534 yes!!!
All these years later and Motor trend magazine is still all you can afford lol 😂
I'm not a huge Countach fan. I much much prefer the styling of the Diablos... But that color, that interior.... This is the best looking Countach I've ever seen.
The series 1 lowbody with Bravo wheels is easily the best looking of them all
I'm not a huge Countach fan........loser
Love hearing people who actually drive these cars dispelling the myth that they're horrible to drive....no doubt perpetuated by online trolls who have never seen one let alone driven or owned one. Every Countach owner I've watched on yt is super passionate about the driving experience.
that was a cool intro on a youtube video i appreciated that experience
We need a personal video on John and his personal garage and home tour
I think that’s the most beautiful countach I’ve ever seen.
Double-clutching on the way up! Perfect.

From our teen walls to our biggest actual dreams. Thanks for share this awesome example.

Hell yeah, those scholastic book fairs lol I had the same poster, if I remember correctly the car was sitting on a checkered floor too?
Blue works on this car! What a beautiful example....
That has got to be one of the most stunning and amazing specs, wow. Great video as always!
This Countach is so wild thanks for sharing this one John.
the laugh you like was Burt Reynolds....god rest his soul...great car! thanks for the video!
I was born in 81' and cannonball run made me fall in love with the countach ..... and the 2 that were driving it
Catherine Bach & Tara Buckman!

The way the shades change in different angles is stunning.
I adore your enthusiasm for cars and your knowledge is extremely impressive
Great color combo... Thank you for sharing.
Wowwwww this is special Nevers saw one with this awesome blue exterior color and white interior & white wheels it's just so perfect man... Beautiful car ever

Can't see it getting better than this one
Again John stunning spec car, you are clearly plugged in with dealers around the world if you can get your hands on cars of this quality, just beautiful, Rj in Oz
That opening scene i was waiting for the cannon ball music to kick in. That RPM range 🤤
Love your Videos!! Some of the highest quality on RUclips!
THANKS FOR ALL VIDEOS. Un grand merci de la part d'un fan de Supercar pour toutes vos vidéos.
Stunning colour combo!
That spec is to die for 🤤
If I ever get to Miami, this is the first place I’m going. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Always learning new things with John!
BEAUTIFUL!

Oh man this was one to keep forever!!! Holy smokes!!! Best spec ever!!! Oh god I hope you find another. 💙💙💙
You had me in the first 20 seconds. What a masterpiece.

Beyond beautiful blue!!Almost Guardsman Blue Ford color.
Tahiti blue on white wheels.
And you're saying that's original !
I'm in love 💙
Beautiful color. And love the white rims!
John! That icon laugh is by no other then Burt Reynolds himself.along with the harm.
Stunning car, again so passionate with you’re detailed review, stunning, love the lambos
Super vidéo de cette magnifique COUNTACH forza Lamborghini et bravo John
I was drooling so much i ran out of tissues. I hate and love Gandini for designing something so desirable yet unattainable.
That is the prettiest Countach I've ever seen.
Very interesting! Thank you John! The color is something special!
Fun car to blast around town in!
What about the #movie #RainMain at the beginning when TomCruise is importing #Countachs into the port! Have u seen any of those from the movie?
Word is, Jerry Rich of Illinois owns all of them
For me, the best sounding Lambo is the one in the intro from Cannonball Run (the black lambo). Whether it was an actual lambo sound, for me, that sound brings me back to my younger years.....

Proud of you for wearing your seatbelt. And that car is amazing. I would issue a first right of refusal too. Stradman is a lucky man
This may be my new favourite countach!!!
I have several photographs of a Countach in this combination that I took at the now defunct La Bella Machinna d'Italia Italian Car show that was at Sky Top Lodge in Pocono Pennsylvania. My dream spec. TAHITI BLU over white interior 😍
I fairly certain that I've seen this one at a car show here in Germany. Wow, just wow.
I m not even a real Countach guy but your videos are super interesting.
Carbureted cars just sound so nice
Wow what a spec!! Jaw dropping!!
Great video, great car 👍
9:25 the Countach never had a wing until Walter Wolf stuck one on his...the producers of Cannonball Run saw it and the rest is history
Bellisimo!!! That sound!
God dam that sounds good all these new supercars with hybrid tech are cool but will NEVER sound as cool! Stunning!
John.. What a beautiful Italian automobile.. Bellissimo 👏👏
The Countach definitely looks Great in blue🤘🤘. I saw a really cool sky blue Kevlar bonneted and engine covered 1988 5000 Quattrovalve on Tw🐦tter a few weeks ago👍👍
It’s funny me that horn sound will always remind me of that chase scene in Goldeneye between the DB5 and the 355
We need a full video on curated and office and garage tour
Nice John......I could only afford side-drafts....back in the day. I've settled with CIS😎
John you mentioned the Cannonball Run Countach. Is it true that Hal Needham had production put wings on it to make it look cooler having seen Walter Wolfs car. People then saw the film and then everybody wanted wings on their Countachs. True or Hollywood story.
That Tahiti Blue Miura is unbelievably awesome. Damn! Wish I had a few million bucks burning a hole in my pocket.
Damn that interior!
Just by looking at it it will get dirty.
Stradman - well done
Is the steering wheel is running true when you turn, it looks warped. Or the steering column is bent.
😉👍thanks John 👍
Is the 'wobble off axis' in the steering wheel expected?
Yeah, noticed that too. Was wondering...
That was a keeper...
Is the steering wheel Catawampus for a reason?
Maaaan I want this car so bad in this spec
What a car!
The audio quality is a bit scratchy in the 18:00 mark :/ love the vids tho John you are truly an inspiration !!
Superfan Chris from MN saying hey and another awesome video! Beautiful
Love downdrafts
Who made the song ? It's great
That steering wheel moving like it’s bent would bother me to no end lmao
Every video could also be titled, "The next car John's gonna' regret selling" :)
Isnt there a #sidedraft carb version as well. Along with the #downdraft?
Love it!
That's my dream Countach
Are the steering wheels/columns in these not on a flat plane?
It looks like the steering wheel is warped or bent looking from side view when he is turning around.
