The knowledge you have on Lambo’s is legendary and your Dad should be so proud of you , I am surprised the factory hasn’t invited you to the factory for a in depth interview
I know originality is important to get the best $$$, but please...PLEASE...do not put the US bumpers back on. Car looks amazing as it is! Even the chrome wheels look good.
83-84 5000s with the flat engine cover and euro bumpers has always been to me the best looking countach ever made. Keep your qv and Ann cars for me that is still the goal some day. Glad to see them getting some love and appreciation finally.
Maybe an unpopular opinion but the 25th Anniversary Countach is my favourite, thats the poster i had on the wall, red with tan interior (although black or white exterior would be fine too). 😂
So, is it pronounced “Countosh” or “Coun-tach” with the second half pronounced more like “watch” with a “t” instead of the “w” as Valentino Balboni says it? Cool channel! Subscribed!!!
For me it's the best Countach ever 5000S with injection system ...what an Icon still have a poster from the 80s a white on white Countach 5000S with white wheels 😍😍😍 my dream car
The Curated presenter here is a car man through & through, but also because of what I see on his wrist. Swiss Chronographs & important exotic cars shall forever be linked.
Another great episode, when John talk we listen👍amazing story. Car looks period correct as well as it is. Without the US bumpers and with those wheels, I'm loving it👍
The first time I sat in. Countach was around 1988 or so at Prestige Imports in Miami. The car was supposedly the first 5000qv imported to the US but the engine lid was still 5000s style. It was badged 5000qv. Do you know if this would have been one of those modded cars? I have photos of it someplace but haven't seen them in 30 years. Thanks for this vid btw, very informative and answered a few questions I've had for years.
Your dad got it so right, what a great super car. Looking forward to your team restoration. Definitely made to drive daily, the sound would be a smile on your face for sure
For those who want to or own a Countach do so for the passion of what it is. Not for horsepower numbers and presumed status. There can be no other car to stir ones primordial desire like a Countach.
Wow John! You are a fountain of knowledge. The variants of variants of variants. I can’t keep up. Even I have so much to learn about these cars that I’ve never really delved into before. I love it.
The photograph of the woman with the black hair in the red 1984 Countach smiling is my mother Angela Barton…she passed away in 2016. She bought the car new in December 1983. I’m so happy to see this as she would’ve loved seeing herself in a video of the car. The fuel injection actually works very well. It’s the same that was used in a Mercedes 280SE…That’s what the 1984 magazine documentation says, anyway. The photograph was taken for an interview my mom did with Car & Driver when they made a video on super cars. I have all the documentation on the car and the magazine that profiled it and Lamborghini USA …I still own the car and it’s in the garage. 😊 - should PM you guys.
Thank you for sharing Stuart! What an amazing story 🤩 feel free to shoot me an email and I'll put you in touch directly with John! Sergio @wearecurated.com
I’d love to see an in depth look at the Lamborghini Jalpa. There’s not any good quality videos on Lamborghini’s forgotten and in many cases unknown V8 sports car.
It's all personal taste, but I'd like to see a car like that driven hard, serviced lovingly and enjoyed until such time as restoring it becomes a necessity.
Hi John, great video as always ! I usually ask myself, do you have any knowledge or insights of the Joan Fercí deal with Lamborghini Mexico, or the models he tried to make ? That would be interesting! Greetings from Argentina
You all do remember, this is exactly what Tom Cruise’s character did in the movie Rain Man! Important gray market Countach and convert to fuel injection, I assume Bosch CIS k-jet
There was a company here in Wilmington NC called L&L International back in the 80’s that did imports for Lamborghini. I was about 12 at the time and saw my first Jalpa there.
That window tint is what had me going 'Is that why it's unloved?' Lol. I've sat in a Countach in Florida in the summer when I was a deckhand on a yacht and the owner had one. He wanted us to drive him from the parkimg lot to the yacht and then we had to drive in reverse the whole way back down the dock to the parking yacht. We weren't allowed to sit on the side like everyone else did and sometimes he woukd make us wait in tne car for like 20-30 minutes while he was getting a drink or talking to someone and the AC sucked. I drive it twice and hated it. His car was fuel injected and it was reliable. His Porsche was way better and his F50 was the best. Now he lives in Curacao and drives a beat up Land Rover.
They had one of these in Miami Vice. Was always fun to watch them cut to different scenes…..one was a white downdraft, the other was a white US 5000S. Used to drive my OCD nuts knowing that they were different cars 😂 m.ruclips.net/video/LeL48oPhSz4/видео.html
There's an ex California LHD 1985 5000S injection (body colour factory US bumpers front and rear still fitted) red over tan with wing in New Zealand. Is regular driven and showed
Yeah, I feel changing the bumpers would be pointless. It looks great as is. The wheels could probably use more polishing. Other than that, it's good i.m.o.
Rarely are these cars name pronounced correctly. Think w atch, it is how Marcello Gandini said the name. I think he would know; He designed and named it. Not trying to be a d----.
Con l'iniezione al tempo perdeva un sacco di potenza... Con una centralina moderna e iniettori adeguati può tornare a ruggire aggressiva e prepotente come se avesse i Weber
Let's not leave out "ex" cetera and "probally." I really enjoy Curated videos, but you'd think a guy selling the kind of vehicles John sells to the 1% clientele which purchases them would elevate his manner of speaking.
The knowledge you have on Lambo’s is legendary and your Dad should be so proud of you , I am surprised the factory hasn’t invited you to the factory for a in depth interview
I love John’s Lamborghini & AMG stories. I doubt his knowledge can be equaled.
I know originality is important to get the best $$$, but please...PLEASE...do not put the US bumpers back on. Car looks amazing as it is! Even the chrome wheels look good.
Agreed the US bumpers are terrible, but so are theose non-factory chromed alloys
My all time favorite exotic!! I was the kid with multiple posters in my bedroom of the 80’s of this car!
83-84 5000s with the flat engine cover and euro bumpers has always been to me the best looking countach ever made. Keep your qv and Ann cars for me that is still the goal some day. Glad to see them getting some love and appreciation finally.
That and the low bodies look so good!

I could listen to John talk about these cars for hours. So great to learn about the history of these Italian Bulls!
Thank you for tuning in!!
Fantastic. I loving watching Curated and learning things about Lamborghini's history. Great job on this one.
Maybe an unpopular opinion but the 25th Anniversary Countach is my favourite, thats the poster i had on the wall, red with tan interior (although black or white exterior would be fine too). 😂
The problem is, most 25th Anniversary cars weren't ordered with the rear wing by 1st owners.
John plz talk your pops into coming and doing a video with you. Love all your videos it makes my day every time I see a new curated video
Hopefully one day!!

You are truly the encyclopedia of Lamborghini history!
Doing my best to share!
That's my dream car. I have posters of them from the 80s
John, your a book of knowledge on these beautiful cars , I really enjoy listening to you , thank you
I appreciate that!

Curated = encyclopedia 💡👍🏾
John , just like Stans! Great video.
You’re a historian John. Thank you! 😊
The Countach is still so Sexy, can’t imagine what it must of felt like to own one back in the 80’s
A spaceship on the street!
with babes and blow
I'm excited to see how this relic will turn out.
I love these old TV car review intros.
It's all personal taste, but I'd like to see a car like that driven hard, serviced lovingly and enjoyed until such time as restoring it becomes a necessity.

Great story and of course a super cool car!
My neighbor in Colorado Springs had a 85 Countach. He basically gave me the run down like this video. His example was a 12k mile car. very rare.
That's a good neighbor!
Please do the Vector
Yeah bro I think we can all agree the enhancements are better than the original all the upgrades are how it should’ve came from stock
Most people would agree with you, but also important to consider originality and rarity!
When deciding worthiness of restoration, I really believe that automotive history this important and beautiful supercedes fuel injection or bumpers.
Another great video!
That intro video is amazing
Wow the dedication to being period correct, the 80's sound track in the background. 😂🤣😅
Fire content as always!
Thank you!
So it has 70k thousand km's which means it's the most reliable definitely more reliable than the ones with almost no miles
I still know all the words to movie Supercar Showdown you opened up with. I treasure my worn out VHS tape!
That's awesome!
red and black still goat color to me 🐐
You all do remember, this is exactly what Tom Cruise’s character did in the movie Rain Man! Important gray market Countach and convert to fuel injection, I assume Bosch CIS k-jet
Another banger
The bumper delete needs to stay. They were not designed like that and they ruin how it looks.

Nice vids man

Holy cow!! What a story 😲
I would drive that thing every day, weather permitting. 😁
71,000 km someone had some fun
❤Beautiful. Definitely my kind of car to enjoy. Btw, I agree with your dad on this one lol.
What a terrible thought to see the incredibly ugly US bumpers on this beautiful vehicle again...How can you even think about that!?
I actually don't mind the bumpers on these, especially the early ones with the cutouts in the lid. The big black toasters are awful though, lol
Best Countach is the original Gandini design. No spoilers. Very pure design.
gorgeous car!
Have you seen the f40 gtr for sale with Iciconic auctions in the uk
So Why Didnt TOM CRUISE call him For Help In RAIN MAN! 😂 Could’ve Changed The Movie! 😂
Tom missed his chance 🤣

Hahaha that's Hollywood!
Leave the patina on it, its tells the story of a well driven beauty.
I want it

That's so cool!
where do you get your tshirts john !
Why not just leave it as is?
Because that's not nearly as fun.
Yeah, I feel changing the bumpers would be pointless. It looks great as is. The wheels could probably use more polishing. Other than that, it's good i.m.o.
Dude it's ESPECIALLY
Not EXPESCIALLY.
For someone so cultured I can't believe you say that in EVERY video.... ESpecially!
Can you do more videos with your wife. Maybe driving this 5000s?
The wing isn’t original either so you’ll have to find one that is if you are doing a full restoration.
Rarely are these cars name pronounced correctly. Think w atch, it is how Marcello Gandini said the name. I think he would know; He designed and named it. Not trying to be a d----.
I might be a total idiot right now, but that wing at the front of that car looks totally out of place!
It's iconic! But definitely not pretty haha
Say, "If you know anything about these cars", one more time.
btw...it's a VIN and not a VIN Number.
This car shares bosche fuel injection components with a volvo 240
I would drive the hell out of it before restoring. That's just me.
😍😍
Just drive the damn thing... Who cares about the KMs you put on if you maintain it right....
If I had the means I would leave that car as is and drive it
If you know anything about
I just want to know what Jon bought it for
Countach become like mclaren f1 price value soon
You run a car centric channel. Stop saying VIN number. You know what the N stands for.

Thanks for taking the time to comment!

DO NOT CORRECT THE BUMPERS. give he a slick paint job and do maintenance
