@@NathanSmith-xf7rk Alex is definitely the man, and a very inspiring drummer. He was nothing less than a monster when I saw Van Halen open for Black Sabbath in 1978
Sounds like it evolved into Take Your Whiskey Home!!! But this version is all over the place!!! Still awesome to hear the process n creation of a masterpiece!!!! RIP EVH!!!
Sounds like take your whisky home. The more of this stuff I hear the more I think Ted Templeman did a great job producing them and selecting what songs made the album
How did I miss this one? I thought I had seen and heard all of the rare stuff. I'm sure there's still much more. Anyway - had never heard this one! It's awesome! They are on fire. All 4 of them. Incredible.
@@e.l.norton ADKOT had the wrong producer..the absolute worst choice. They needed Ted back behind that board. I even tweeted Ed bitd as to why they didnt use Ted or did they even ask him and he turned them down? Ted was still around. Maybe retired? I dunno but it needed Ted.
Certainly Jim dandy, but collectively they were also into a band called cactus, check out their first album and the song called Parchman Farm. The singer was really something, Rusty day.
Die Hard Valen Van Halen fans beg and plead for old material! 😊 Then, die hard Van Halen fans dismiss and denigrate it. 😮 They are lost treasures, part of history. Glad some of you aren't the ones making the decisions about what should be put out there.
@@mikebozik I have and I don't know what the hell you're talking about. I read some comments about the lousy recordings of the songs but that's about it. If anyone is on here it's because they love Van Halen
fucking great singer Roth is, awesome soul and conviction!
Yes!
At least in the early days.
At one time, then he became a clown 🤡
Alex doesn’t get enough credit for being the engine of the band, he really does play well and seems to always be right on, dig it😎

Roth sounds fantastic. Those screams are amazing.

The guitar is incredible, it is so live!
Of course

This should have been re-recorded for A Different Kind of Truth.
Agree 110%
Dave no longer had the range to do this proper justice.
Nah Hagar sings girly shit. He would have queered this right up
@@rhaastaa Hagar didnt sing on ADKOT. But I agree with you assesment.

Some of this vocal made its way into "outa love again" cool tune
Can't get enough of the King!! Thanks for sharing, keep them coming.
Glad to see so many people enjoying this great stuff. They took over the world, definitely the right band at the right time!
Killer track
Love this
❤
Sounds alot like "Take Your Whisky Home"
DLR jim dandy style or influence was perfect , all 4 of them were beasts , but eddie wooooow

I've read tons and tons of comments and I haven't read one that dogs this unreleased material

DLR was brilliant...
They should have named it ‘where’s my shorts’ lol
Michaels bass should've been more pronounced during the chorus....eddies riffs here are right on point
🤘✊❤
Sounds Led Zeppelinish.
Yes , VH was untouchable in late 70s mid 80s not envious eveb British, can make them a little trouble
We definitely DIE BOLD?
Sammy who?
If only they put down the Jack Daniels and picked up Crowley...
Track sounds very generic.
