I have the new MAC satin lipsticks in the colors Creme In Your Coffee and Thanks, It's MAC. As you mentioned, the satin lipstick goes on smoothly and is comfortable to wear because it doesn't cause stinging or burning and doesn't cause my lips to become dry. I like the vanilla scent, and I like that the formula is not loaded with botanical oils that have a smell and burn my lips. I want a casual look with just a little color and the color payoff is good, plus the stain lasts for a few hours. I like Creme In Your Coffee on you, Lisa!
I used to love & use Mac satin lipsticks years ago. Creme in your coffee was my favorite shade. I will have to look into them again. The Mac lipstick looks good on you.
Unfortunately I do not especially like the vanillin scent/taste, but otherwise, I really am thinking that this new formula is as good as anything on the market. Please report back on what you think of it! ❤
I ordered the Lancome holiday palette, partially due to your raving review about it. I have decluttered all my face palettes, even the Hourglass one I had, because the colors weren’t right (I didn’t know what colors were best for me until I had a seasonal color analysis), so I was in the market for a face palette that I can keep on my vanity and use all the time. I think this one will work great for me as a face palette along with that blue for the eyes! I needed some stuff from Lancome anyway and was able to catch their sale, so it worked out great! Lancome (and the drugstore version too) is another company that I keep going back to because they have products that work really great for me. Thanks again for your service and helping us mature and sensitive skin folks find things that work for us! I so appreciate your being a guinea pig and I’m glad you enjoy doing that!
@@jjjjk1241 There are a lot of really lovely colors that do work for you then though! I think I am most like Soft Autumn and I do feel like I work better if I stay within that color palette. Though I guess I am neutral enough that the Soft Summer colors seem to work pretty well too. I don't think that black is a very good color for me either. ❤
Thanks for your comments on LE lipsticks and for highlighting the problematic ingredients. In general, LE's brand image is perceived as 'clean' but in fact, it is NOT. She truly excels in colour and that's where her strength lies. I used buy her lipsticks but don't anymore. They're either too thick (matte) and drying or too thin/not lasting plus also drying that they are not worth purchasing for me.; not too mention again the questionable ingredients. There are other better formulas on the market. Great vid as usual!!
I haven't had problems with her lipsticks being irritating for me and hace enjoyed how they perform, but this presence of the plastics in any lipsticks is a little concerning for me. Have you found any lipsticks that you are really liking? ❤
@@diki7068 Oh, that's interesting. I have not purchased any products from Hermes or Sisley because of the fragrance listed on the ingredient list, but I recently did learn that the SIsley products are supposed to include more natural fragrance and I thought that one of the Sisley foundations might be okay for me when I tested it in a Blue Mercury store. So I need to investigate more! ❤
i really like the smaller, more pointy bullet in the new LE lipstick but boy the smell/taste 🤢 i find it so waxy, and while it’s not as bad as the baume embrace it‘s still a major turnoff 😢. it reminds me of the cheap essence slimsticks, which i can‘t use for the same reason.
I did also notice a slight taste in the Rouge Experience lipsticks but haven't personally found it to be annoying. That is interesting that it has been bothersome to you- thank you for sharing your experiences!! ❤❤
Thank you so much for this video, Lisa! I think if I had to choose one makeup brand to use the rest of my life, it would have to be MOB beauty.😊❤ They seem to be the most committed to and doing the best job of attempting to create non-problematic products that are beautiful as well as practical. Unfortunately, I was in my Goth-ish era when I got a lipstick from them, and I don’t love the color I chose. I might need to try another shade! My most recent successful lipstick purchase has been the makeup by Mario satin one. The color is beautiful, it feels nourishing, doesn’t bleed even without lip liner, and it fades gracefully, even if I’m drinking my 2 cups of coffee in the morning. I still like the Cheekbone Beauty lipstick the best out of everything I’ve ever tried.
I love MOB Beauty, but I do think that their lipsticks are probably the weakest line that they offer. Not using silicones, plastics or castor oil does present a challenge in terms of creating good lipsticks! The cream lipsticks (which are in colors that I do like) are so creamy that they tend to get really messy on my lips, and the matte ones (more like other companies' cream lipsticks) are in a hodgepodge of unusual colors due to their all being the designs of specific makeup artists. I did see that all their cream lipsticks are 50% off, and so I am wondering if they are going to release a new lipstick line? The Makeup By Mario lipstick includes "fragrance" on the ingredient list and I didn't try it for a long time. But finally I did buy one and it turns out that it just has a vanillin-like scent/flavor, and is better than a lot of the lipsticks out there with vanillin. The formula is great! I am glad that the Cheekbone lipstick has worked out for you!
@@lisapetrison-beautyreviews Yes, after I wrote that I was putting on my Mario lipstick and realized it does have a scent! I prefer unscented, but if it's barely noticeable, I don't mind it. This makeup journey has been so much fun! It's interesting how our own tastes change. I was wearing greige lipsticks because I didn't think my face could handle much color, but now I get the brightest, pinkest ones I can find! Love you!
@@jjjjk1241 I really thought that it was going to be intolerable to me because they just used the word "Fragrance" on the label but it did turn out to be very mild. It is a good formula!

@@lisapetrison-beautyreviews yes, I mostly had to let go of the rusty tones. They make me look like I have jaundice.😂
I bought Lisa Eldridge refill only in Medici. It works fine, love the color for fall.
That is the other color that I think that I am the most interested in. Thanks for sharing your experience! ❤

yeah it‘s odd, but thankfully it‘s not as bad as the baume, so a strong minty chewing gum can mask it 😅😅
