I actually think of the Augustinus Bader more as a serum to provide the benefits of that proprietary peptide rather than as a face moisturizer. I tend to use 2-3 pumps for my whole face at night, followed by a night moisturizer (there are various ones that I like). As a daytime moisturizer, I tend to like The Outset Nourishing Daily Squalane Moisturizer or the Ilia Face Base Milk, depending on how my face is feeling and whether I am intending to be wearing much makeup on top of it. I give "grades" to the concealers at the very end of the video, at 1:21:15. I tend to sleep much more frequently on the right side of my face, which is the side that I used the cream before making the video. I would think that sleeping on that side would have made it look worse, and as I mentioned in the video, I did think that it looked a little worse than the other side (which is why I decided to put the cream on that side). I've been putting the cream on both sides of my face since about May 2024, and so you can see in my more recent videos if there seems to be a change since then. Thanks much for your comment! ❤

Yes, I have found that my skin does not like either ginger root oil or rose geranium oil, both of which are in the WTF foundation and the MIracle Balm. That is really unfortunate! ❤

I do really like the Bobbi Brown concealer stick a lot. You may not find anything you like more! ❤

I agree that using as small of an amount of concealer as you can to still achieve coverage is a good idea. I tend to use a larger amount in these videos because I know that some people will need more than I typically do and want to show what it looks like in that case. I do think that when I was looking at the video footage that especially with the Saie Slip Tint concealer I did use a lot more than I usually do. Thanks for the comment! ❤

Thank you for a great review. I think I will try the Westman A concealer since I do like their products a lot. I also like Typology but their concealer was slightly irritaying to my sensitive eyes. I have found that the only «safe» concealer for me these days is a solid from Attitude Oceanly. It took a few times getting used to it but now I think it is easy to use. It is zink based (non nano) so good for people who want to avoid titanium dioxide as well.

I've found it a little hard to find a comprehensive list of everything that has been banned but these are some of those ingredients: - Isopropylparaben, isobutylparaben, phenylparaben, benzylparaben, and pentylparaben - Cyclotetrasiloxane - D&C Violet 2, Basic Blue 7, Basic Blue 9, and Basic Green 4 - Trichloroacetic acid, allyl isothiocyanate, anthracene oil, and cobalt - Genistein, daidzein, kojic acid, alpha-arbutin, and arbutin - Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives and allergens - Lilial I look up the ingredients of every product I review on this channel and, with the exception of lilial and ingredients reported by EWG to be formaldehyde releasers, have never seen any of those listed on any of those ingredient lists. Apparently there also are going to be restrictions on the amounts of retinol, retinyl palmitate and retinyl acetate that can be used in various products, but with few exceptions have been choosing not to even mention products that contain these ingredients on this channel because I have decided not to use them. (I have been experimenting with use of these on my hands in winter and may discuss them in that context.) I am reading that there may be some new regulations this year on nanoparticles in sunscreens (such as nano zinc and nano titanium dioxide). My approach with sunscreens is that i am willing to test products with nanoparticles but that I am making a big effort to determine whether the products that I review contain them and then sharing that information. A list of ingredients that i always avoid and that are not covered on this channel is at 1:39 in the video. Although it is impossible to know whether a product contains contaminants at present, my own skin is so sensitive that it is my hope that if I do well with a product that others might as well. I guess there is still some justification for those who decide not to use any cosmetics at all, but that is personally something that I have chosen not to do and so the main purpose of this channel is to share the results of my own experimentation with others. If there is other information about European regulations that I did not bring up here, or if there are things that I am not understanding, please share that information here! ⁠You are very well informed and I appreciate that you care about the health side of cosmetics. I am not ready to quit makeup but I want it to be safe! Re the nano particles, it is a long list and not just for sunscreen. As of May 2024 the EU banned Use of nanomaterials Styrene/Acrylates copolymer, Sodium Styrene/Acrylates copolymer, Copper, Colloidal Copper, Hydroxyapatite, Gold, Colloidal Gold, Gold Thioethylamino Hyaluronic Acid, Acetyl heptapeptide-9 Colloidal gold, Platinum, Colloidal Platinum, Acetyl tetrapeptide-17 Colloidal Platinum and Colloidal Silver in all cosmetics products.

I wonder how you would do with the Typology skin tint, which you could mix with a moisturizer that you tolerate (if you have one) if you would prefer a lighter coverage. Mixing the Youthforia foundation with some moisturizer seems to me another good possibility. I agree that there actually aren't any light skin tints on the market that I especially would suggest to people with extremely sensitive skin, but I do think those two products have worked really well for me (and I have done videos on both of them). I have never tried anything from Ofra before. The lipstick contains a few ingredients that I wouldn't especially want to ingest, including BHT, talc, phenoxyethanol, unspecified flavor and aluminum starch octenylsuccinate. (That latter one is in the YSL eye quads that I like so much but ingesting it may be a different thing, not sure.). The eyeshadow palette contains talc as the first ingredient, and while I don't consider that to be a total dealkiller when used in smaller amounts by companies like Natasha Denona, perhaps irrationally I feel a little more uncomfortable when I see it being used as the main ingredient by companies that I know little about. From a personal perspective these colors also look pretty saturated and so not the kind of thing that typically looks very good on me - it more seems designed for people with really dark hair and at least medium skin, in my opinion. But I did watch Smitha Deepak's video on it and she certainly did make it look appealing! I wonder how much interest there is in my reviewing this on this channel. Probably I will mention the products in my upcoming "Hot New Makeup" video and then ask if folks are interested. Thanks for bringing it up!!! ❤❤

I think that it may be that the left side of my face (the right side of the screen) has gotten more cumulative sun exposure when I am driving, as would be the case for anyone living in the US. But I did feel that when I started the cream a year earlier that both sides of my face looked similar or that the right side of my face (left side of the screen) actually looked a bit worse, which I thought likely was due to my sleeping on that side more often. And so that is why I decided to use the cream on that side. Thanks much for your comment! ❤

I own just a few natural hair brushes and mostly have used synthetics. I actually am especially impressed with the quality of the Jones Road brushes, and also have liked the BK Beauty, RMS and Sephora Pro Collection brushes. And i reach for the Saie brushes and the Merit brushes a lot, so apparenty I really like those too. I did notice that the brush I used in the video was from Jane Iredale, which I use occasionally as well. Thanks so much for you nice comment! ❤❤

Oh, I'd like to hear more about your experiences with those Lisa Eldridge products. Did you have problems with the performance or did they irritate your skin? I wasn't personally all that crazy about the formulas of either of those products and can see how they could be irritating for some people, though the lipstick case definitely was an amazing breakthrough. The first person I focused on after getting interested in makeup in late 2020 was Bobbi Brown, when I found out about her brand-new makeup brand after watching her Masterclass program. And that is the style that she mostly uses, and that has been inspirational to me. I never thought that there was anything unusual about it at all, until I finally started watching RUclips videos! The Ilia Face Base has a lot of hydrating type ingredients and a bit of some lighter oils. Typically I put on a lot of moisturizer at night and then just rinse my face with plain water in the morning. So my face is not terribly dry then and the addition of the Ilia product is generally sufficient even if I don't put other moisturizer under it. My own previous approach to sun protection has been to wear an SPF50 hat with a wide brim rather than sunscreen unless I am going to be getting a lot of sun, and so I haven't experimented much with using sunscreen under foundation. But I may focus more on that this coming year, now that I have started to find some sunscreens that haven't been as irritating to my skin. ❤❤

I feel like my skin is on the border between fair and light, with neutral peachy undertones. But in the Jones Road Face Pencils, I definitely seem to do best with shade 5, which is described as "for light skin with cool pink undertones." Based on having tried a wide variety of the pencils, I do think that at least the lighter end of the shade range runs a little on the yellow side. If your skin is lighter than mine, then it seems the choices would be shade 1 (for pale skin with neutral undertones) or shade 2 (for fair skin with neutral undertones). If you send a photo of yourself in natural light to Jones Road, they probably will do a good job helping you to find a shade as well. ❤
