    Hi Henry, thank you so much for continuing this series here on RUclips! You might have noticed it already, but multiple times in this video your voice lowered in volume or cut out for a short moment like at 10:15 for example. Don't remember hearing something like that before in one of your video's. Maybe a noise gate or microphone sensitivity issue? I am guessing because it happens more often at the end of sentences and when you lower your voice more.

    This is such a great black recipe! Thanks for the detail. One thing I've struggled with is Black looking great under my painting light but the nuances being lost when brought to a table at a game store. In future videos it'd be interesting to hear how these translate and any changes you'd want to make after seeing it under more standard lights! Thanks

    • @cultofpaint
      @cultofpaint  8 месяцев назад

      thanks Will. I keep checking these under normal lights for exactly that reason. I think the edge highlights/chipping and the colours around the black are what has the impact. The black sort of helps them stand out more.

    Sorry to hijack this on an unrelated video, but I've been really struggling I think when it comes to oil washing, and I think my issues are due to the ratios of the Oil to Thinner. I've found it either runs too much and leaves no colour in the recesses, or I get this almost chunky black deposit behind that sure, comes off easily enough, but doesn't give nearly the tidy highlights everyone else seems to achieve with oil washing.
    I've tried over Gloss and Satin Varnishes, I've tried Sansodor and the spirits mentioned in the LI Solar Auxillia videos. Really unsure where it's going wrong.
    Love the work as always.

    Quick question....you've primed it black, and then immediately gone onto the airbrush highlighting effects correct? No additional base layer of black across the whole armour? And if thats the case, can I ask what primer youve used? Thanks so much 👍.

    I have fallen so in love with this channel recently. The style you do is such a beautiful mix of efficient techniques that can be learned and replicated with some practice and it isn't clickbait SPEED PAINT or overly indulgent display piece painting. Nothing wrong with either of those but your style feels achievable without compromising on time or quality. I'm in love with the rendering you do with oil paints. Do you not like that technique with black armor or did you just want to go for a different approach on this army? I'd be interested to see what some dark greys/blue-greys/browns could do.
