This could destroy an entire team if the engineer has enough crits stored...

A good tactic is the "WHY IS THE SENTRY *THERE!?!?* " Method. Put a mini sentry in a dumb spot in the middle of the fight, run, get a few kills/ assists, and by the time it does, the soldiers will get it and you got like 5 crits!
@Joseph Bleifus if there is no danger, like there is no uber push incoming then you could destroy your sentry and replace it with a lvl 1 and go play duckhunt. And it would be better to play normally with the frontier justice rather than focusing your entire playestyle around it.

I once played a payload game where I had a level 3 sentry hidden in an overpowed spot. I was already at the top of the leaderboard and I hadn't even fired a shot (I'll admit, the sentry was pretty much spawncamping). An ubered heavy and medic combo finally took down the gun but I had 18 sweet crits loaded up. I killed them both and then got kicked for "cheating".

Uncle Dane, and Mac/Linux users, to set up the bind, you just have to: 1. Go to Steam. 2. Right click on TF2. 3. Click properties, then go to Local Files. 4. Clicking local files will take you to the folder everything steam related is stored in. From there, do what Uncle Dane did, but I recommend using Brackets, on mac at least. Please like, to stop people asking this.
@@scoutbite4334 It might be the best unlock for Engie, it has it's place with all weapons, having negative synergy with none of them, and it rewards putting the sentry in a good spot and aiming, so it's not all that OP.
This is my favorite gun to use. My sets have this, the Gunslinger, and sometimes the Wrangler over the Pistol so I can control how many kills my Mini Sentry gets and make it more reliable to get those crits. While the Postol is a great fallback option.

dane, i hope this doesn't get lost. i want you to know that you singlehandedly revitalized my desire to play team fortress 2. thank you for re-envigorating my love for a game i used to play way more seriously than i could ever hope to nowadays. you reminded me why i love tf2, and that's because of all of the little things that make it feel new and fresh. the frontier justice wasn't just a gun. it was a decision to play differently. to play like you never have before.
To anyone past september 2017, in team fortress 2 open the console, type (bind "MOUSE3" "build 0 2; "destroy 0 2") then boom! Play as engie and then use the mouse 3 button and BOOM! Laziness! You have a sentry built with a click of a button!
This seems like it would work with the "ninjaneer" sub class, use the Eureka effect to snap between your best and then appear behind them with gaurenteed crits
First of all, thank you so much for the sentry bind instructions! :) It makes battle engie with frontier justice and gunslinger so much better! Also, I just thought I'd mention that the hotkey actually is synced with your game data, so whenever you play on a different computer, you don't have to set it all up again. :)
I've found the Frontier Justice really useful in MvM, you get an insane number of crits really quickly, you can easily destroy and rebuild in between surges of robots, and unloading 35 crits into the super robots, sentry busters or tanks really helps bring them down quickly. Plus you can upgrade the clip size relatively cheaply.
Dave Yeeeeeeeep. All clip upgrades, max firing speed and max reload speed is one heck of a power trip. My teammates get jealous when I start outshooting them without my sentry.
Definitely one of my favorite weapons to play around with, I can live without the random crits if it means my Sentry does the dirty job for me and rack me up the goods.

I always put my level 3 at the end of the bots path, they usually can't get past it, I get the disposable upgrade and put that farther up. The frontier justice is pretty dope if you know what you're doing.
There was one time I was using my juudolf loadout. I had my frontier justice, my wrangler, and my bleed wrench, the southern hosp. I was running through the enemy base and I shot off a few non crits, my sentry still holding its 3 kills and 1 assist. I was running in and I saw our heavy get killed right before the medic popped. I ran in towards their spawn and the medic, seeing my terrifying play, ubered me. That... was amazing. What ended up happening was I got 5 kills. 4 kills before death, 1 after, with everyone in that room bleeding. I took down their sentry, I TOOK DOWN A HEAVY WITH A MELEE WEAPON, and I was SATISFIED. Soon after, a soldier was in our Intel room. I hadnt respawned yet and I was worried. I told my team he was there, and my team obliged and went to get him. He was taking down my level 3 at intel and I respawned as he shot the last rocket. I got the 7 crits as the rockets from my sentry shot as it died and it killed him right after. It was a good day.
-Camp the intel room for 20 minutes straight -Really annoying the enemy team -4 enemies finally destroy my sentry and rush in to kill me -Using frontier justice -Kill all of them in 5 seconds without any trouble -Build another sentry
Overwatch is far from dead, and I say this as a fan of both games. It could be in a much better spot, but calling it basically dead is borderline ridiculous. Not only that, but the ‘rivalry’ between both games is extremely pathetic and should’ve been left in 2016. Hell, it’s not even between both games, it’s literally just some TF2 fans who still feel the need to carry this pointless shit on, lmao.

Funny thing that happened when i played with the Frontier Justice: I was on 2Fort, my sentry got 4 kill. A Heavy - Medic duo Ubers to destroy it. When i saw the Medic charged, i run away to the onther Spawn and waited for my sentry to go down. I got the 8 crits and aproched the place with my wrench to hide the crits. When the heavy was distracted, i Got three clean shot and killed both of them and 2 other players. I still had 3 crits to spare. That was really cool.
I was on a comp game.. I rarely play comp.. I happend to have crits.. I happend to be behind them.. I aimed for their medic.. I shot .. but, It didn't register.. then i died.
I've always been salty, a fucking idiot like me with 30 FPS and like ~80 ping lock shouldn't have 4200+ hours in TF2, ever. I just cannot quit this game, man.

Having a smaller clip size means you are more careful with your shots. Often when I use stock I panic and use up all 6 shots with little to no effect. The FJ has made me a more effective engineer forcing me to be more precise and calm when I’m being focused.
I was playing engineer in 2fort once and my level 3 sentry was destroyed so I walked in and looked around the room. Then I just looked into a corner for a few seconds and obliterated the spy that destroyed my sentry. It was so good the spy in chat said: “IM SO SORRY”. My best moment with the frontier justice.
I knew someone would be call this, despite the fact that you can punch that line into the console while the game is running for the exact same effect. Literally every command is a keybind, even movement, and any commands that the game considers cheating (cv_infinite_ammo 1, for instance) are automatically refused unless the server has sv_cheats set to 1. Unless you're just cracking a joke at the expense of the people who actually do think this is cheating, in which case go nuts.

dane, i hope this doesn't get lost. i want you to know that you singlehandedly revitalized my desire to play team fortress 2. thank you for re-envigorating my love for a game i used to play way more seriously than i could ever hope to nowadays. you reminded me why i love tf2, and that's because of all of the little things that make it feel new and fresh. the frontier justice wasn't just a gun. it was a decision to play differently. to play like you never have before.

To anyone past september 2017, in team fortress 2 open the console, type (bind "MOUSE3" "build 0 2; "destroy 0 2") then boom! Play as engie and then use the mouse 3 button and BOOM! Laziness! You have a sentry built with a click of a button!

First of all, thank you so much for the sentry bind instructions! :) It makes battle engie with frontier justice and gunslinger so much better! Also, I just thought I'd mention that the hotkey actually is synced with your game data, so whenever you play on a different computer, you don't have to set it all up again. :)
I've found the Frontier Justice really useful in MvM, you get an insane number of crits really quickly, you can easily destroy and rebuild in between surges of robots, and unloading 35 crits into the super robots, sentry busters or tanks really helps bring them down quickly. Plus you can upgrade the clip size relatively cheaply.
Dave Yeeeeeeeep. All clip upgrades, max firing speed and max reload speed is one heck of a power trip. My teammates get jealous when I start outshooting them without my sentry.

The Pokémon music takes me back to my childhood. Dane’s smart for using it because he knows so many people are nostalgic for it.
There was one time I was using my juudolf loadout. I had my frontier justice, my wrangler, and my bleed wrench, the southern hosp. I was running through the enemy base and I shot off a few non crits, my sentry still holding its 3 kills and 1 assist. I was running in and I saw our heavy get killed right before the medic popped. I ran in towards their spawn and the medic, seeing my terrifying play, ubered me.
That... was amazing. What ended up happening was I got 5 kills. 4 kills before death, 1 after, with everyone in that room bleeding.
I took down their sentry, I TOOK DOWN A HEAVY WITH A MELEE WEAPON, and I was SATISFIED.
Soon after, a soldier was in our Intel room.
I hadnt respawned yet and I was worried.
I told my team he was there, and my team obliged and went to get him. He was taking down my level 3 at intel and I respawned as he shot the last rocket. I got the 7 crits as the rockets from my sentry shot as it died and it killed him right after. It was a good day.
-Camp the intel room for 20 minutes straight
-Really annoying the enemy team
-4 enemies finally destroy my sentry and rush in to kill me
-Using frontier justice
-Kill all of them in 5 seconds without any trouble
-Build another sentry
And this is why I don't play CTF maps

Overwatch is far from dead, and I say this as a fan of both games. It could be in a much better spot, but calling it basically dead is borderline ridiculous. Not only that, but the ‘rivalry’ between both games is extremely pathetic and should’ve been left in 2016. Hell, it’s not even between both games, it’s literally just some TF2 fans who still feel the need to carry this pointless shit on, lmao.

My favorite thing to do is plop a mini sentry down on point, and as soon as the enemies make a push and destroy my sentry I just deny the entire thing with my whole 4 crits

Funny thing that happened when i played with the Frontier Justice:
I was on 2Fort, my sentry got 4 kill. A Heavy - Medic duo Ubers to destroy it. When i saw the Medic charged, i run away to the onther Spawn and waited for my sentry to go down. I got the 8 crits and aproched the place with my wrench to hide the crits. When the heavy was distracted, i Got three clean shot and killed both of them and 2 other players. I still had 3 crits to spare.
That was really cool.

Having a smaller clip size means you are more careful with your shots. Often when I use stock I panic and use up all 6 shots with little to no effect. The FJ has made me a more effective engineer forcing me to be more precise and calm when I’m being focused.

Then I just looked into a corner for a few seconds and obliterated the spy that destroyed my sentry. It was so good the spy in chat said: “IM SO SORRY”. My best moment with the frontier justice.

I knew someone would be call this, despite the fact that you can punch that line into the console while the game is running for the exact same effect. Literally every command is a keybind, even movement, and any commands that the game considers cheating (cv_infinite_ammo 1, for instance) are automatically refused unless the server has sv_cheats set to 1.
Unless you're just cracking a joke at the expense of the people who actually do think this is cheating, in which case go nuts.
