Hmong American here! lovely video! Just wanted to add that Hmong people are not related to Mongolians or Mongolia at all :) common misconception, but we are originally from southern or west China! Then have migrated to several southeast Asian countries as nomadic hill people to escape Chinese imperialism and maintain autonomy.

We probably should have done a better job of phrasing that to make it clear that the Hmong and Mongolians are not the same culture, but didn't the Hmong originate in northern central Asia or what's now Mongolia/southern Russia?
