Did you use escape tours for your Nihn Bihn tours or just transportation? Trying to find which one you did online, but none of them seem to line up with what you all did.
Thank you for the itinerary! I'm planning to visit Vietnam next February. Hopefully the universe will support me to realize my plan. I love Vietnam! 🇻🇳
You guys are in your comfort zone exploring Vietnam North or South. Your guides are so informative. That's what makes you the best at what you do. We never miss a video. Thank you so much for sharing dear friends. 🙏❤🙏 Harriet, Jim and Yuki Richmond, Va.
You guys showed some absolutely breathtaking scenery in this video. The drone shots were fantastic! I especially loved the really high up shot of looking down right before you entered the cave in Trang An. But the scenery everywhere was just spectacularly done! It sucks to go during the rainy season, but I love how green everything is.
Thank you for traveling to my country very proud both of you I am Vietnamese living in Ohio US, I never had chance to traveling to Northern Viet Nam it’s so beautiful out there. I used to live in south Việt Nan 45 yrs ago. Thank you for sharing video I am hoping both of you had greatly enjoyed good time in Việt Nam. 🎉😊
Thank you. Wishing you a journey filled with wonder, discovery, and the deep, abiding sense of connection that only Vietnam can offer. With warm regards,
Super Video! It gave me lots of ideas how to plan our Vietnam-trip. Thank you! Could you write me maybe , in which hotel/lodge did you stay in Sa Pa with the beautiful view to the rice terraces?😊
❤ .Pozdrawiam Vietnam z Poland ❤ . 😊 .
As a Vietnamese, I am very grateful to you for this video. But there are also warnings about rip off and street vendor kids in Sapa (they follow the instructions of adults and sometimes annoy you when they are pressured to buy things). Not every place is good. Be a smart traveler and have comfortable and safe trips. Vietnam is completely worth the experience with reasonable and cheap prices, it makes me proud
The bribery is unfortunate, most all hotels in Vietnam offer free breakfast, so I think they were pressuring you for something that should have already been free. As a Viet person, I really enjoyed your video! Happy travels.
When I was there in November just gone the train street was very dead. You could get on if you followed a lady to a cafe but they were so strict you weren’t allowed to take photos or anything or walk on the tracks and if seen you would be fined. I was told that it was because shortly before a tourist got hit by a train so it was very close to getting shut down
Next time you come back, do the motorbiking like "One Pack Wanderers" are doing. They're crazy to do it during rainy season, but if you guys do decide to do it, maybe wait until October when the rice fields are more golden in color. Don't just do the normal Ha Giang Loop, but go out of the way like they're doing. You can also add Pu Luong (saw it in from "Keith & Dev") to your list of places to visit as well as Cat Ba Island and the biggest lake in the north (I forget the name) and Ba Be Lake.
I don’t know if you are aware that people like you are helping tourism industry of Vietnam. You are much more effective than million dollars of advertisement.
I stumbled upon your channel by accident and I'm very glad I did. Visiting Vietnam is high on my list and watching your video has definitely cemented my decision. Thanks for all the great tips and info. I'll be making notes and following up on some of the things you've recommended. Many happy travels! 😊Oh, and the quality of your video (shooting, editing, content etc) is really good.
Hi Rhett and Claire, Thank you so much for sharing your videos. Yours is one of the most well done, full of information, and descriptions of places you visited. I have been searching for some tips for my trip. Your videos helped me plan for my Vietnam adventures. Thank you.
We also got to have Maya as our guide. She is sooo nice, such a wonderful person. We actually got Vietnam Escape tours because we watched your video but we never imagined that we will also have her as our guide. I miss her already ❤❤
could you share where can I book a trek with Maya please? The link that Claire shared opens up to a generic page with lots of different treks and I'm not sure which to choose
Great video! Thanks so much!! One question: which period of the year did you go? I am going for Christmas and I am wondering if is worth going in Sapa this period of the year..
Thank you for that great overview of that awesome country. I’m having my visit right ahead, but will hit only some of your list. But I think and hope some of the best ones. By the way I followed your recommendation with the Mon Cherie cruise 😉
Fantastic video! I am moving to Vietnam for 2 months starting November (although southern part)! Howhe s long will you be around? Will you be posting something about the south too?
U guys have a so beatiful accent . So many other south africans i know talks with a Lil different accent . What accent do u guys speak with ? Its so cool . Does the accent in SA differs between cities
" North Vietnam arguably the most beautiful place in this amazing country" A lot of Vietnamese would have a kot to say about your introduction statement. 😮 If your wanting to see the most " touristy" places then what you highlight will do the trick.. But its meeting the people of vietnam that most traveler's/exploers will remember the most... and that will happen at a 25,000 Dong bowl of Pho stall on the side streets of saigon as easily as it will on an expensive cruise in Ha Long Bay. For the young people intrested in exploring vietnam just start on one end, North OR South and work your way to the other.. Theres sooooo much more then just these tourist areas. For a more "mature group" baby boomers like myself these tours are fun and "packaged" in such a way that makes for great photo opportunitys and memorable
I love love love your video! So informative. I’m new to the channel and have just subscribed. I noticed you drinking drinks with ice in them and also fresh uncooked greens. I’m just wondering how you felt about ice and salad ingredients in view of traveller’s belly? Did you get sick at all? Also I don’t eat pork or shellfish and am wondering if it’s difficult to get beef, chicken or vegetarian dishes in most places? Any information would be gratefully appreciated. 😊
Last one: That cable car going up Fansipan (sounds like Fancy Pants doesn't it?) Peak looks marvellous. ♥ I would have right loved that adventure. ♥ The older I have gotten, the more I have found that I like being indoors, with central air, heat and a restroom nearby, ha, ha.
Train street is open again :-) Nice to see you quote prices in Rands :-) Be glad the buffalo are tied up :-) Pity you did not go up Fansipan , missed out on The Peak in HK same reason . For some reason I end up going in the dry season to Vietnam , same next year . Will be 7 years since my last visit , covid cancelled 2020 . Wonder if you got to see any orchids on your walks ? Happy times in the rain . Have mostly covered Hue and the south , have to visit my orchid mate in Buon Ma Thuot , missed some waterfalls in Da Lat . Thinking ahead , plan is to just go off on a m/bike from Hanoi , go north , is the Loop overrated ? Luxury boat trip out in Ha Long Bay ? Friends really enjoyed it . While the scenery is awesome , I want to meet the locals , whatever they do . Am quite used to hot and humid conditions here in SA , gold mines are warm . Perspiration is keeping you alive , if you stop , you could suffer brain damage or die ! Life in the mines . However , was told many years ago " Horses sweat , men perspire and ladies ' merely glow ' " :-) Easy to see how you guys got hooked by Vn , will be 9 years since my first visit , when I get back next year . Cities all have different characters , hustle and bustle . I like to get off the beaten track , wander :-) As for bicycles , as long as it is flat :-) Big mistake in NZ North Island , at least in Taiwan was all down hill eventually . Have 3 more weeks there next year , great place to visit , then 3 in Vn . Been patient , 4 years no international travel ? Have withdrawal symptoms . Had a golf buggy tour around West Lake , lake not in good condition , lots of dead fish floating , and other stuff , guys had rods out , one dude was in the water with a throw net :-) In my early days of travel , falling into the water in Venice needed a tetanus shot ! Glad for you guys , out there and living :-)
Hi Rhett and Claire, Firstly thanks for putting this video together and beautiful. I wanted to know if the accommodations/bnbs that you guys stayed at were booked by you separately or did the Vietnam escape tours customised them for you ?
Hey! Of course, happy to help😁. We booked most of the accommodation except for Sapa and Halong Bay - they chose those for us😁 but they’re totally flexible and able to customize something for you!
