Amazing scenery. The funicular reminded me of Wellington's cable car. The views of the countryside were breathtaking. Cloud, mist, and changeable weather are part of the joy of being in the mountains 😊. What a great adventure 👍
😂 thank you! To be honest we were a bit sad after our cloud experience at the top of fansipan but quickly got over it as the area was still beautiful regardless.
Love this vlog! I was really BLOWN AWAY (literally) by Sapa especially the highest peak on Fansipan! The cold, clouds, cable car and the winds were mind blowing! Really feel the cold watching you guys but i love it! Thanks Peter and Yen. Looking forward to your Sapa vlogs. Thanks 😎🥰💖
Thanks Nikki! Glad you enjoyed it 😁 we really really wanted to see an epic view from the top but alas can't fight mother nature 😂😂 2 more Sapa vlogs coming up ✌🏼 thanks for always supporting! 💛💛💛
The VLOGS that you share bring us pretty close of being there, with a combination of Drone and eye level Your trip to Fansipan must have been filled in anticipation, especially with hundreds of people waiting to get on the cable car Love the positive attitude of both of you, the coolness of the weather up there must have been nice, speaking from a person dealing with 35 celsius The cloud yard's view was pretty nice, can only imagine the view from Fansipan would have been spectacular Have a great week, am off to Auckland and then QT and Mount Cook next week
O wow! You are basically a Kiwi the amount of time you are in New Zealand 🇳🇿 😂 since we have been off this is your 2nd visit 😁 have fun though that sounds like an awesome trip. Will you be doing any of the hikes in Mt Cook?
Looks like a beautiful place to visit, such a shame about the clouds on the top of the mountain, but I'm glad you got views from the second one 🏞️ The railway and cable car journeys look absolutely stunning too!
The railway 🛤 and cable car 🚡 ended up being our best memories from fansipan 😂 we will leave it as a place to return to. Funny enough people were saying in winter the mountain top is clear but the town is cloudy and so even though it's freezing you get amazing views.
It's ok...don't be sorry. It's a nice different experience. Food wise always good no doubt about it. Overall, must say, Vietnam have so much to offer with beautiful sceneries & people....🥰🥰🥰
I didn't realise Sapa is this developed in terms of tourism. I've been to Bana Hill and that was impressive. Vietnam really has developed so fast over the past 10 years. BTW, I happened to catch the price of the honey lemon tea up there....They charge nearly 7 bucks for iced tea??!!!! 😱
We were really surprised too. Especially with the fansipan set up it was really impressive. Vietnam has changed a lot in the 5 years since we last visited. Reminds me a lot of the way China changed when I was a kid going back in school holidays. Hahaha yes! Wanted to show that honey lemon tea price and see if anyone noticed 😂
Yay! Yen’s favorite 🦋!! And 🐝!! Peter a true Kiwi checking for silver ferns 🇳🇿😂. “Lemme show you guys the view. Wow, look at that.” Aye ya… total bummer. I watched a vid on Fansipan awhile ago and the guy experienced the same thing.. ☁️☁️☁️. Think he waited like 3 hours, but no luck. Too bad there isn’t a visibility report at the base so people can make an informed decision to go up or not. Oh well.. I guess that’s part of the adventure and memories. At least it looked like the air quality was better in Sapa than Hanoi…and you guys got to ride a funicular…which sounds like a fun vehicular ride 🤷♂️. Safe travel guys!!
That was my feedback back to the fansipan company 😅 please get a camera up there so people can check the weather before going. But surely they do it on purpose cause I think it's cloudy pretty often. The air in sapa was pretty good for Vietnam 👍 just a few small fires here and there but overall excellent. Where in the world are you right now?
@@PeterandYen yeah.. probably too much money in showing tourists clouds ☁️…. I’m sure you guys know up until recently, Vietnam had the longest cable car in the world (Da Nang). Have you guys ridden it? It goes up to Bana Hills which I thought was both cool and hokey at the same time.. but definitely a fun little place. More interesting than I had anticipated. Currently in home base planning what’s next. Friend just asked last night if I want to be a dad in a truck commercial that will be used in SE Asia 😂😂… What’s the next stretch of P&Y’s Excellent Adventure? Looking forward to the next 2 Sapa vids!
@SeoulMan2020 😂 you should so do the commercial. That sounds like fun. We haven't been to the cable car in da nang. Really should go back there some day. Don't feel like we explored that area enough. Especially want to go to the large cave system near by. We're currently in the Philippines 🇵🇭 😁
@@PeterandYen oh yeaaaah.. the PI. That was my spontaneous redirect when my China trip got cancelled due to covid.. jumped on a plane to Manila and got out right before they closed their borders.. probably around the same time you guys were on that crazy exit from Taiwan(?)… Philippines should be a good adventure… be safe, enjoy new foods, and oh, be safe!!
This place reminded me of Hakone skyrail. It was so cold and windy when we got there. It's so windy that you cannot even talk. The way up to the hill of Sapa was beautiful tho, there are so many fields, I assume are rice fields? I saw some pics from my friend who recently went to VN. I'm not sure if Saps but it looks familiar. The giant Buddha also reminded me of the one in HK, you had to catch a cable car to get that to the village and there are so many stairs to get to the Buddha too.
Yup, they are rice terraces. All dug into the side of the mountains ⛰️ unfortunately you have to come in winter to see them in their full green. But it was still very nice regardless. Hakone skyrail sounds like it is freezing 🥶 😅
Sapa is the most beautiful place in Vietnam. I am from Vietnam but I have not had a chance to go to Sapa, I will definitely go there once.
Beautiful terraces. Interesting ride up the mountain. Unfortunately, not much scenery to be seen on that day. Good video, as always.
We will have to come back and try again another time 😊

😂 you're always looking on the positive side Daryl 👍 too true, in a way it was nice to see all the mist up there 😁
Wow going next week! Great to see you both experience this even with the clouds! Love your videos!
Nice! Hope you have an awesome time. Sapa is a lot of fun.
Always look forward to your vlogs. Some of the weather reminded me of the amazing city of Wellington
Hahaha so true! It was ridiculously windy up there 😅
And Wellington has a Cable Car too. Not as good as in this vlog, but still a cool ride.
@Kiwi_Col oooo yeah totally forgot about the wellington cable car 🚡
Another amazing journey ❤❤❤
Even though we didn't see the cool view from fansipan it was still a fun day out 😊
Wow those views from the railway was impressive
Yeah! The funicular and cable car were both very scenic
@@PeterandYen seeing the cartoon characters was also unexpected
Thank you for another awesome video.
😊 no worries thank you for watching 💗
Loved your enthusiasm for the clouds 😂 Another entertainment bonanza, looking forward to part 2 😊
😂 thank you! To be honest we were a bit sad after our cloud experience at the top of fansipan but quickly got over it as the area was still beautiful regardless.
@@PeterandYen It sure was beautiful. You know how to find the best places 😊
Great commentary in the clouds especially with that great Canadian weather 😅
Hahaha thank you 😊 commentary is all we could do up there 😂

Joyce and I plan to do Hooker and Red Tarn and Star 🌟 Gazing at night, though it will be cold 🥶
Nice 👌 hope you will have good weather. It will most definitely be chilly!
Thank you 😊

@PeterandYen I see. Hakone was definitely colder than the peak you guys on 😅. At least I can still hear Yen talking than the wind slapped on the face.
😂 that sounds like you were in a full on blizzard
@PeterandYen we were. We only stay out less than 5 minutes and had to ran back inside.
Ah, the ficklness of mountain weather! Glad you got some views later XD
😁👍 we were relieved too cause often looking at Ham Rong from our Airbnb it looks super cloudy. Someone out there gave us a lucky break.
Seem that foods price has increased quite a fair bit since my visit more than 10 years ago.😅
😅 yeah... we dunno what was going on with food prices in Sapa.
