Northern Virginia to Ocean City, Maryland

- A 368-mile (592-km) drive from Reston, Virginia first to Rehoboth Beach and then onward to Ocean City, Maryland and back, with a drive around southern Maryland.
This drive took place during the week of July 24-30, 2017, using a time-lapse dash cam (Mobius Action Camera) set at 4fps (for 7.5x playback at 30fps).
As a ocean city resident since I was born back in 2006 going to this video and seeing the places that are now permanently closed just make me emotional for example BJS on the water (75th street) gone Applebees (west oc) gone planet maze (34th street) gone thank you for making this nostalgia come back to me!!
Oh, wow. I haven't been to Ocean City much the last several years as my family prefers Rehoboth Beach, 45 minutes north of there due to the more family friendly environment. But now my kids are getting older, so maybe we'll come to Ocean City this summer.
Having spent most of my childhood in Prince George’s County & my parents doing this drive MANY TIMES, this was really cool to see.
Also it’s great watching your Vancouver BC drives (my birthplace!).... keep making these vids!

I live in Prince Georges County today, and took a few trips to Reston - for my health - literally - cancer treatment and surgery in 2013 and 2016 (Reston Hospital Center). While Reston is a nice place to visit, nobody wants to go there for heath reasons, despite Reston Hospital Center being a surprisingly nice facility (right up there with INOVA or MedStar Health - and exceeeding both in spots).
I live in berlin, md just a few miles away from ocean city. I had a blast recognizing the buildings.

I'd love to come up to AK one day. It's one of three states that I've never been to (Hawaii and Vermont are the others).

I live in the Lewes/Rehoboth Beach area of Delaware so it was cool to see my drive from college to work (Georgetown to Rehoboth Beach), even though my workplace hadn't been built yet lol
The only one of your videos that I've seen so far that is right through the neck of my woods and much of it, particularly the very beginning, is for that reason very familiar.
I made this trip last year from Woodbridge, VA for spring break......I was smokin, bumpin my gangsta music, got to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (8:42-9:20) and it brought all of the bitch out my system...........had to turn my music down and concentrate LOL.......Scared the HELL out of me. Much scarier in person........
My young son was scared of that bridge, too.

For the crops, yes.
I realized that there is a section (from 0:44:04 - 0:45:51) that I meant to remove from this video. This includes making a U-turn southbound on Delaware Route 1 and then going through a Starbucks drive-thru.

Nice vid. I did find it interesting that you didn't label Dewey heading south but did label it later on going north in the dark... And no mention of the Indian River Inlet/Bridge? Signed - someone who lives in Howard County, MD, works near the Wilson Bridge, and grew up spending summers in South Bethany (and visiting Rehoboth often, and FI/OC occasionally). PS - I saw that van with the MRDUCKS plate! M-R not DUCKS, M-R-DECOYS! :P

Did you go through Deleware on purpose? I've never seen anyone go that way to get to OC before. I stay on 50 the whole way.
I actually went to Rehoboth, with a side trip down to OC.
I think Delaware is an easier drive with more places to stop if you need something. I do like going over the bay bridge though, it brings back memories of long ago.
Could you upload a full road trip to a vacation spot like Florida or something vacation road trip early in morning

I don't currently have one. I took a Disney Cruise last fall, but unfortunately, the camera that I was using died and most of the video was lost. I will upload video from my next major vacation though.
