  • Jep, Jase, and Zach tell Phil why adoption is one of the greatest manifestations of the Gospel in their lives and how it's strengthened their relationships with God. Phil explains why it's the responsibility of God’s people to care for others and why the government can’t handle it. Phil and Zach discuss why the Gospel is a paradox. Jep shares some eye-opening stats about adoption and talks about his first year of marriage to Jessica. And Jase talks about how love must be sincere, or it isn't true.

We are all human Zach. We have moments of weakness and doubt, we stumble, we fall. As long as we ask the Lord to lift us back up and put ourselves back in his hands, rest assured he surely will. He will put us back on the path and our walk with him. Phil and the Boys are a great way to block out the negatives the world throws at us, to make us laugh a little, learn a little and help us keep an eye on Jesus. I have always looked at Phil as modern day Moses leading people out of the darkness of the world to the promise of salvation God gave us. God bless, keep on following the Lord.

Jase, my late Husband ALWAYS said to me "sweetie, that was a good meal, Thank You". I could open a can of beans and slice up some hot dogs, or maybe something less, even. He would ALWAYS say that to me. When we married ( we blended 7 children) he turned and said when we got back to our home "All of you kids, hear this & hear it good. The ONLY steps in this home are the ones leading up to our front door. I don't EVER expect to hear about you not stickin' together".
I lost that good man almost 2 years ago now. Only through my Faith have I hung on by my fingernails to my sanity, and been what my kids, and all of our Grands need through this. Their Dad, their Papa, was their rock, their " safe place". And, even with him sharing his Faith, and most of them accepting the Lord, it has been so hard. A man, a good man, not perfect, but a man who is there and does, and gives his best? Means more to a wife & child than any big house, cars, money. That is something that no one can deny.

Jase, "We're all married to the right people." That's a blessing from God. I had 3 children; each pregnancy as soon as I knew that I was pregnant I began praying for for that child's spouse. Meanwhile praying for God to grow them up to be the person their spouses would need. Years of prayers. My kids are married to very different people, but each is suited to their mate.
My daughter-in-law thanked me for praying for her before I knew who she was. I didn't know that I was praying for a Vietnamese child living in wartime. Her family were refugees who came here through suffering. I am the proud grandmother of 3 first generation Americans.

Concerning adoption, my wife and would love to adopt a child from any country, any color any religion etc. The fact that in the USA you have to pay $50,000-$80,000 is criminal. How is this not child trafficking? It's disgusting that good hearted loving people are priced out of providing homes and love to these children living in loneliness. So heartbreaking.💔

It is child trafficking, and a lot of foreign kids are not necessarily 'orphans'. Adoptions from places like Nepal have been completely shut down at times because of kids essentially being 'purchased' or their parents being lied to about where their kids are going. It's a dark dark industry.

When his children would leave for college in the 1950s and 60s, he opened up his home and offered their bedrooms to Irish medical students from Ireland to help lessen the burden to attend the local university. 30 years later, my sister had her 2nd son in the ER department and the ER doctor was one of the Irish students whom stayed with our Grandfather and Grandmother. 😊🙏

So, my mom's cousin had a baby and when the baby (my little sister) was only 4 days old she brought her to my mom and asked if she could watch her for a couple of hours. She showed up 3 weeks later to get her and my mom refused to let her leave with the baby because she was really messed up on drugs. My mom and dad spent around 6,000 dollars to adopt her because the mother fought them in court. It's a sad situation but I am so glad we got her. Although my mom has been a Sunday school teacher my whole life it wasn't through church. But I wish you and your husband the very best of luck with your adoption journey!! God bless! 🤍🤍

My 2 oldest are adopted. We adopted a brother and sister at 7 and 19 months. Their parent's were drug users and were unable to care for them. We did not hesitate in bringing them into our family. God chose to expand our family 8 months later with another child. We have had challenges but they are our son and daughter. They are now 6 and 7. The story of their adoption is a beautiful, real life example to explain how we have become Children of God even though we were born in Adam.

So many are stuck in the foster care system because of parental rights. Some foster families are overloaded with children. Imagine how wonderful it would be if more Christian families would open their homes to foster a child. Other families would not be overloaded and the children would be in good homes. If people would be willing to adopt children and not just babies, that would give more children loving homes. They need to make it more affordable for average families to adopt.

Better be strong to adopt these kids. How infants are treated(meaning how they were abused and neglected by their biological parents) affects them for the rest of their lives, even though they have no recollection of it. We adopted two beautiful, intelligent girls from the system and I'm telling you they have issues. Serious issues that started once they hit adolescence. You can love them and raise them right and they still develop abandonment issues that have nothing to do with my wife and I. I love them like my own and I think they'll make it, but parenting these kids is not for the weak. Better read and study up on it before you dive in.

Phil is telling the truth about dogs that smile! Our family has several dogs that actually smile, and it's so cute and precious! Some of our dogs will smile and show their teeth, and some of our bully breed dogs with smooshed faces with lots of wrinkles and short snouts will smile so big and raise their cheeks and jowls to smile at us every morning when they wake up and see us or when ever we play with them. It melts our hearts, and it amazes me that these creatures God created can do that. It amazes me! God is an amazing architect, and all His creations are amazing and miraculous!!!

I would love to adopt but don’t have a big enough home and not enough funds to get a bigger home. We have 4 kids in a single wide mobile home. I actually grew up in foster care. I almost got adopted a few times as an adult but they all fell through. I hope and pray one day Jesus will bless us with a home and be able to adopt

Sometimes there's funds to help when you take up the call.
I used to be a foster parent. Call children services and ask when their next training is. Just take the free training and ask lots of questions. God equips as you go else the blessing is a burden out of time.
Start walking and praying. You may be surprised. ❣️😃👍❣️

God literally gave us more money than we needed to adopt we had money left over after fundraising and we were able to give that to others, that being said we need another bedroom to adopt or foster our next child and we are praying and waiting/watching for the road God wants us to take, his timing is perfection please trust that! Someone needs to tell these guys they don’t have to stop the conversation and say “let’s take a break” in order for them to do an ad read. Just play a quick sound effect, splice in the pre-recorded ad, and then get back to the show. That’s how other podcasts work. Interrupting Jase and Phil (and sometimes Al even interrupts himself) as they’re going through verses puts a huge damper on the show, and is completely unnecessary.

@@ColetteO_ we adopted 17 years ago from a Christian agency that handled mostly children who were in the foster care system. It took about a year to do the home study, background checks, and classes. Then we started to look at kids. They were 17 months old, boy and girl twins. When we started to talk to our social worker about them, we kept being talk to about how bad their paperwork looked, they were drug babies and had a rough start. Now I'm a Head Start preschool teacher, so I just said, "You're talking about half my class, so just show me my kids. When we meet them it was like they had been ours forever. So I would say trust your heart and let God lead you to our children. They're 19 now and my son just joined the Navy. The time goes so fast. Good luck in starting our family.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these guys. So rich in character and the Word of God, and their walk with God. They are all hilarious and have such a good relationship and much respect for each other, especially the men with their father Phil. You can tell they love and respect each other. But I kinda feel bad for poor Phil catching the heat from his kids laughing at his comments sometimes...he's a trooper. I know their story and they put up with a lot from him in his early years when they were younger and he was not saved. And they like to rag him good. All kids do this to their parents...I did and my son does to me. So I know they love Phil, just ragging him :)
