    Ohhhhh Jayda Jayda Jayda ! This is exactly what I was looking for ! I just finished a Boho style stocking from another channel and it is awesome but this is just what I was looking for and this stitch is one of my favorites actually probably my favorite ... I know it as the "Blanket Stitch " I find every excuse to use this stitch . Lol . I'm getting right to this , and I'm going to use some faux fur to make the brim ... thank you for your tutorials.. your instructions are always so clear and you are a hoot !

    • @robinhawk1288
      @robinhawk1288 3 года назад

      @@JaydaInStitches I couldn't agree more about "Comfort and Joy." Been a weird year! I think everyone in the valley where I live has taken up yarn crafts. I could not find the yarn I wanted, so I had to use the yarn I had (not a bad thing.) Still cannot keep accurate count, though, so I got off somewhere and ended up with several rows of 18 leaf motifs instead of 16. There were a couple of other issues that confused me, too, but then I remembered some lessons (tricks) I learned in your other tutorials that might get me back on track...so I am now past the heel and into my 6th row with 16 leaf motifs per row! I am grateful I finally learned something along the way!

    I was so looking forward to making this one. I never normally have a problem following your tutorials, but no matter how hard I try, I still have 3 full stitches and the gap is so noticeable which means it's pointless carrying on :(

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  3 года назад

      Hi Heather, could you be skipping or double using a stitch somewhere? This pattern works over a multiple of 3, could you be missing an entire "leaf" motif in one of the rows (not looking at your work, it's hard to tell from your message)? This might be one of those instances where you need to put it down, leave it for a day and then come back and try again with fresh eyes (I have to do that every so often too!!) 💗

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  Год назад

      Hi Mona, it sounds like you might be skipping the odd stitch and not realizing it. You might find it helpful to use a stitch marker on the first stitch of each row. Then, you know exactly how many "little leaves" there should be in each row, so you can count them off as you work. When you get back to the stitch marker, if you're short a leaf or a few stitches, you'll know sooner than getting into the next row.
