    Vic, try washing your fillets in sea water or use a salt water brine to clean the fillets. Fresh water deteriorates fish fillets almost immediately. See if it makes a difference.

    bro try scaling it gut then batter it in flower lightly then fry it in butter not oil, the best the skin is so good
    can of coconut cream into a bottle preferably a tall glass bottle add half a large onion 1 and a half lemon in with the coconut cream, 2-3 table spoons of salt cap it shake it and refrigerate for an hour or freezer for 30 mins, then pour over fresh fried flounder with rice lettuce and chopped cherry tomatoes, you wont regret it

    An easy way to filet the one full filet is to cut a line across at the head and a line at the tail. then starting at the tail stick the knife straight up the middle on the backbone and work the knife out from the inside and once you have the one side then you do what you did getting the other half. I just feel its easier to work inside out rather than outside in.

    If you're ever up in the Mid-Atlantic region you should try fishing for fluke (summer flounder). They seem pretty similar to the ones you guys have though they get bigger. In some of the states you can't even keep them until they get over 22" (this might be slightly out of date). Up above cape Cod there are tons of blackbacks (winter flounder) which don't get anywhere near as big but have some of the best eating white meat in the ocean, in my opinion.

    Damn vik your killing it! Up here in NY its 4 per person at 19", try using a bucktail w a long white fluke skin, guaranteed fish, its a trick we use up here, im sure many people will agree

    Up here in NJ, the minimum size is 18 inches, and I regularly catch 10+ pound flounder, so a 6 pounder is relatively small for up here

    • @TimCamili
      @TimCamili 5 лет назад

      Devin Widmaier a 6 pounder is not relatively small in NJ. It's actually a very nice fish in Northeast too. Just you can get bigger 10-12 lbers more consistently than down in Florida

    When cutting your onion you don’t need to cross cut the onion. Remember it’s a layered vegetable and those layers are a natural crosscut when you dice them. Hope this says you some time.

    Hey man! I just found the channel a few days ago and I've been bringing like crazy! I just watched you last upload about upping the production game and you are doing it! The video looked great! I feel weird throwing out an un-solicited suggestion, but when I was learning video production, the biggest jump in quality I found was when I upped my audio game. Look into it man. I love my little dr10l lav mic system. Anyway, take it or leave it, I still love the channel and content!

      Agreed but NJ is 18" not 17".. The regulations around the country are just completely not fair. I've literally thrown back 40 fish between 12" and 17 3/4" in a single day and I will take home 5 fish per YEAR while other parts of the country I just see dudes taking 10 fish per day. It's a fricking joke.
