While I was not expecting Nicole to win, I feel that her "meltdown" seems to be valid. Throughout these chats multiple contestants have talked about being humiliated for tv, and if she was able to address it, I think that should be respected.
I was thinking that too. Just like an anime character. If anime franchises are popular in Hong Kong, I’ll bet you that’s why Jayla got the offer to do work in Hong Kong…because her look lends well to anime character like fashion. Although I’m sure she would have done better in Japan if she had been able to establish herself in Hong Kong first. She had such a special look.

I can *not* stop laughing loudly and hysterically at around 41:30. I must have watched that section of the interview at least 15 times. Jayla seems chill, down to earth, perceptive, and very intelligent. I only wish she would have given more clear indication that she is happy and that life is good, which I think Oliver asked. I really want to believe that, because I liked Jayla, then and now. I understand more fully that she got a mean edit. Also loved hearing about her close friendship with Bre.

All the girls thought he was cute during their interviews and I specifically remember Jayla telling him he looked like her cousin lol. Not sure why that stuck out but...it did.
Wowww this is the BEST interview that Oliver had ever done besides Samantha from cycle 11. Jayla is an amazing storyteller. She remembered every details on the show, answered well what Oliver asked by giving her honest, straigtforward, bold, and authentic opinion. I really enjoyed and watched til the end. All our mystery questions and unexpected fun facts about cycle 5 had been explained really well by Jayla. Thank You Jayla for sharing with us, with also sharing your personal experience that you've been through in the past. I listened to this whole chat in one sitting! Usually I break it up in 30 min or so, but I was hooked the whole time. You have great energy together and she has a very good memory.
This one was my favorite interview. Jayla gave all the tea and better understanding of what went down on Cycle 5. The show gave her a villain edit and see that she's just a chill introvert who doesn't want drama. I never liked Kim even though the judges loved her for some reason with those mediocre photos.
You can totally hear the difference in her voice between the secret of I’m afraid of the dark and I sleep with a nightlight. I noticed it since the very first time I watched that episode.
Remember in the early days of Top Model when Tyra used to have the girls sit down and talk with her Mom!? As if her Mom was a licensed psychiatrist or a counselor. And just because she counsel Tyra doesn't mean she can do that to others,Chile.
I love Jayla. She was my favorite in Cycle 5. They portrayed her as a witch on television. I think she learned so much more now and back then, I was so glad she made top 4 in London over Lisa. She deserved her spot very well. Maybe a bit rude or ironic but no mean. Her look it's amazing.
This was such a good one! I'm really enjoying hearing the contestants tell their stories, and being able to get a feel of who they are outside of their given edit. Jayla seems like such a gem and the show really did her dirty. With the time that's passed I really realise how young they were to have this experience and be so manipulated, and then be judged by the outcome for decades. I loved ANTM, but these interviews give me a whole new level of respect and empathy for the girls. Also, did I understand it correctly that after 7/7 they waited a whole day to give the girls the means to contact their families and let them know they were okay?! That is horrifying if so. I would be out of my mind with worry.
With all the interest in Antm and these women, I'll never understand why the CW didn't cast them in more shows - they would've had a built in audience. I would've tuned in to watch Jayla.

Dudes name was Ryan Devlin--he hosts Are You the One on mtv but when I heard his name I was like, "oh! He was the interviewer on the ANTM Secret shoot." All the girls thought he was cute during their interviews and I specifically remember Jayla telling him he looked like her cousin lol. Not sure why that stuck out but...it did.

Wowww this is the BEST interview that Oliver had ever done besides Samantha from cycle 11. Jayla is an amazing storyteller. She remembered every details on the show, answered well what Oliver asked by giving her honest, straigtforward, bold, and authentic opinion. I really enjoyed and watched til the end. All our mystery questions and unexpected fun facts about cycle 5 had been explained really well by Jayla. Thank You Jayla for sharing with us, with also sharing your personal experience that you've been through in the past. You're on of the contestants who has beautiful and strong portfolios IMO when I watched cycle 5 years years ago. Love you Jayla😊😊😊😊😊

I listened to this whole chat in one sitting! Usually I break it up in 30 min or so, but I was hooked the whole time. You have great energy together and she has a very good memory.
This one was my favorite interview. Jayla gave all the tea and better understanding of what went down on Cycle 5. The show gave her a villain edit and see that she's just a chill introvert who doesn't want drama. I never liked Kim even though the judges loved her for some reason with those mediocre photos.

I love Jayla. She was my favorite in Cycle 5. They portrayed her as a witch on television. I think she learned so much more now and back then, I was so glad she made top 4 in London over Lisa. She deserved her spot very well. Maybe a bit rude or ironic but no mean. Her look it's amazing.

This was such a good one! I'm really enjoying hearing the contestants tell their stories, and being able to get a feel of who they are outside of their given edit. Jayla seems like such a gem and the show really did her dirty. With the time that's passed I really realise how young they were to have this experience and be so manipulated, and then be judged by the outcome for decades. I loved ANTM, but these interviews give me a whole new level of respect and empathy for the girls.
Also, did I understand it correctly that after 7/7 they waited a whole day to give the girls the means to contact their families and let them know they were okay?! That is horrifying if so. I would be out of my mind with worry.
