Scott Lively complaining about the SPLC

Scott Lively does not like being one of 11 (currently) anti-gay hate groups as tracked by the venerable Southern Poverty Law Center. His depiction here greatly mischaracterizes their work. The SPLC shows considerable restraint when listing such groups, with only 11 anti-gay hate groups as compared to over 900 racist ones. If they did as Lively suggests, there could well be thousands of the former.

If your speech or political action can lead to serious physical or political harm to a group or individual you are engaged in hate speech Mr. Lively and your attempt to confuse the subject by not know what "hate" is will not let you off the hook.

Threatening the spilling of blood sounds like a threat of violence to me. Just because you're referring to a verse in the Bible does not make it okay. It's as much a work of hate as it is of love. Some of its authors were peaceful philosophers and poets. But others were in the service of genocidal maniacs.
