@@FlintyKing97Super late reply, but I’m sure you figured it out; but keeping the loops if you do, do the muffler delete, keeps a deeper, super different sound. It’s unlike every other modern turbocharged I4 Honda/Acura engine, let alone the NA ones. For anyone who’s curious, keeping the loop in the muffler piping, is somewhat like the “UK mod” for the S2000. It doesn’t have the muffler intact still, obviously, but the sound is like going through an extra pipe, and the sound “echoes” in a way and is completely different from just chopping off the muffler or having any “normal” straight-through tail pipe(s).
Way better than stock for sure, it sounds more towards what it should've been fresh out the factory. Once or if you start bolt on moddin and tune it'll be even more fun. I really wanted to get a '22 Si, but living in the bay area- every dealer I went to within 100 miles wanted a 10k mark up, so I picked up a different car at MSRP which I'm very very pleased with '21 WRX premium. I still got my soon to be track B18c '92 civic si to remember how awesome vtec is, bwwwaaaaahhhhhhh.
I went and got my 21 sti limited for less than they wanted for a used 2019 type R with 30k miles , Honda is definitely losing money by allowing their dealers to participate in these shady business practices.

I didn’t even know the car was started at first, was waiting for the startup till you revved it up. Sound went from Dyson to small shop vac.😉 I kid, nice sound.
It doesnt give you lights. From what I know they cant prove anything. if you mess with suspension and your suspension messes up. that voids it. muffler delete shouldnt void anything
@@MavrickGT yeah the loops I kept. Only cause I didn’t want them to find a pipe that bends to the end. Or have more labor to weld pipes to go to the end.

@@SSGKeo thank you, thinking about doing this to my Si just didn't want that annoying drone sound inside.. and yes this should have been done by the factory makes no sense why they didn't do this in the first place.

Yes, I just want to sound like yours to be honest. So I keep the same factory exhaust they just straight pipe it. Do you think it voids factory warranty or Ellison will be problem
none. The use of a muffler is to dampen noise. If you went full straight pipes with no muffler. It would be loud af lol. So really all you are doing is removing it for it to be louder.
Thinking about doing this to mine.. Did you just cut the mid muffler or did you take the resonator too? Also did you get rid of those loops in the back?
The twin loops has muffler. I just cut those and and replaced it with piping. Kept the loops. The middle resonator on the exhaust is still there. I heard someone do a straight pipe and sounded bad. So I was scared it would sound horrible
Depends what you ask the muffler shop but it was easier for them to keep the loop and just do a cutout where the muffler started ; Add a small pipe to replace. Rather than a long piece to extend where the loop was
@@andreybrovkin1294 removing the loop I don't think would give it more aggressive sound. I understand th loop is there to eliminate exhaust drone. A "quarter wave resonator" or used interchangeably with but not the same as a "Helmholtz resonator".
