hi Adam..ive a honda accord same engine.Im not a mechanic or auto sparky ive heard these have a 2 stage charging system on these that has confused many mechanics to replace batts or and alternators but to still leave customer with a fault. It has a eld elctro magnetic load detector sensor 3 wire connector i think which comes from the ecm The eld location is under under bonnet under main fuse box thats had issues causing very simular faults combined with the 2 stage charging.I was told this years ago Adam.If you found it was the alternator then well done..all the best for now..
Hi William thanks for watching and the excellent comment and information. I do actually have a video on a battery drain on a Honda Accord also just so you know. I wasnt aware that it has a 2 stage charging system. However under load and with increased rpm the voltage was dropping continuously as shown in video. Many vehicles have battery management systems/2 stage charging nowadays so we always need to be aware of all the variables that come with that. All the best!
Hello Adam, i have taken my car to a garage who said battery is healthy and could not find a drain. Spent 170 quid getting another mechanic to diagnoae the fault. It took them 3 hours to diagnose and remove a fuse. Any chances i can get you to look at my 2007 CRV?
