It isn't a mashup when it's this good. It stands on its own.
I couldn't agree more. This is typically the case with what Bill turns out. Top notch!
A puree, then?
that's a bit overstated, buddy
Ironhorsie
I 100% agree. I was literally just thinking of a way to word this dame thought. Lol, not sure if you even worded it perfectly 😂 but I know exactly what you mean. It’s like, this is is just a great song. It makes too much sense. Like it was always this way lol
I like to call it “what if” music.
As one of the biggest Doors fan out there, I 1000% approve of this. Jim woulda funked the fuck out had he lived longer.
☺
if Jim was with us today, he would have laughed so hard & enjoyed Bill's mashup
We need some Doors (Jim being the Lizard King, I can do anything) and Infectious Grooves (Aladin Sarsippius Sulemanagic Jackson the third) to do some mashup funk!
Jim would’ve been elated.
😊
when the Soul Train crashed into the Crystal Ship
When the Lizard King became a pimp.
You win the internet
That's a good fucking comment. ❤🎵
@@HyborianAge love
i fell asleep last night trying to remember this comment i was like what crashed into the crystal ship?? had to come back to find it!! maybe the best comment i’ve read on youtube
This is how I’ve always envisioned how The Doors would’ve sounded like had Jim lived through the 70s
Dang..Ya you right ..Much Respect..From New Orleans Louisiana..☆ steph..opal◇
@Prentice Tyndall, agreed! I did have to go double check when James died & it was in 1971! Part of the 27 Forever Club. I also have a dear friend who is an illegitimate daughter of James Morrison {as apparently he preferred to be called} who is an amazing poetess named Danielle Sainte-Marie! She also has a YT channel & one of her poetry posts is in honour of her dad! Much goodness all around! Peace!
They would have had to have hired a bass player, but it could have been great.
You should listen to the "An American Prayer" album. Some deep funk was going down on that one.
@@slow-mo_moonbuggy yes!!! Was hoping someone would mention that record. That is the vibe exactly.
It's like an acid trip on soul train!!
For real though!
Heard. 😎
The Soul Train crashed into The Crystal Ship.
@@netsurferx1 ha ha!!! good one!
... if The Doors had had a bass player.
ruclips.net/video/Mmu2GW_WOyM/видео.html
it would sound like "strange days", the bass playing in that album was what made it one of their most incredible recordings. go back & listen to it again, there's an actual studio bass player...
I meant it more as a joke. Patty Sullivan, Larry Knechtel, Doug Lubahn, Kerry Magness, Leroy Vinnegar, Harvey Brooks, Ray Neopolitan, and Lonnie Mach all recorded bass with The Doors.
The gypsies had no homes and the Doors had no bass
They did! his name was Ray Manzerak ;)
The musical alchemist creates gold again. Wow...
the perfect name: musical "alchemist". nails it.
i don't know if you couned that term or not dude, never heard it before today, but it is accurate
More like Diamonds 💍
How well the "everybody loves my baby" lyric works with the trumpets' harmony is jaw-droppingly brilliant.
Jim Morrison and Funk...What a great way to start the day!
cheeke11967 I woke up this mornin and I got myself a beeyer!
*Jim Morrifunk
A fascinating glimpse into an alternate universe's history of popular music
What might have been!!
Ah but my friend this is simply a treasure of this reality
You must have a ton of musicallity in your veins to hear this combination in your head and make it work so well. These are all small masterpieces.
This is my mom's music (Temptations) vs my Dad's music (The Doors). This is awesome!
Ragnar Danneskjöld this was your Parents, Parents music too!
And an AC/DC solo just for good measure
Best of both worlds 😀😀😀 And Congratulations tom your parents, nice music choices
I love this comment!
A perfect mashup - psychedelic funk!
Funkadelic
I think it's already been said but it makes me wanna start a cover band playing this kind of mashups in real time.
I'd like to try having a band that does the songs that have the 2nd and 4th beats removed...
This sounds natural, less like mash up, more like it was a song to begin with. Great work. WHAT ANIMAL DOWN VOTED?!?
You may not believe this but Jim Morrison himself gave it a thumbs down. But he said he was kidding.
About 65 people who haven't broken through yet.
Lars Ulrich
Ted Bundy down voted
@@stompthatazz3967 Ha!
The organ !! Holy shit, it fits so well !
that's what she said!!
@@Mirrorglassball The internet approves of this comment
Mr. Mojo Risin' got his mojo workin'. A+
That was mighty satisfying. Love the way Ray's keys integrate perfectly into the jam. Angus Young's guitar solo works awesomely too. Outstanding work Bill.
Why not a krieger solo.doesnt make sense to have angus
Angus has the matching red suit
Well it's more maroon... but close enough.
@@michaelnewbill3438 : It also doesn't make sense to mashup The Temptations with the Doors... it's a 3rd element to the mashup. Seems to be a common theme in Bill's vids, I really dig it.
So...I've been playing these at work...... the 20 somethings for the most part are confused.......... the older crowd has to pick there jaw up off the floor......... you are a genius
Perfect..lol
I see no confusion here
What are some of the reactions? I'm not from either of these era's and I'm shocked at how good this is. I can only imagine the older folk.
This 20 somethings digs these mashups
Morrison + Motown = Magnificent!
Morrtown
Jim Morrison would’ve loved this
Pure Fusion - This should be released … Clubs will love it …
ooooh the organ solo! duuuuude this is gold
Even threw in some ACDC. Sweet!
This is just a masterpiece. Funky Morrison is perfect on too many levels!
Dude...keep making these! You have a good ear and impeccable taste.
Oh yeah.please don't stop.genius at work.
That keyboard solo, though. The bass track fits so well -- improves it x100.
The touch of Angus at 2:45 is like the cherry on top of this epic melange of rock and funk. Well done, as usual, Mr. McClintock!
honestly I had the biggest grin when angus popped up for the solo😮
honestly I had the biggest grin when angus popped up for the solo😮
Bro rays keyboard solo goes so hard with that bass and funk ......lord mercy this is mind blowing!!!
Its always fun to play these mashup videos on my speaker at work and just watch peoples reactions as they walk by....
I still can't believe how good this is.
Loved the un credited cameo by Angus.
with an Angus Young guitar solo too!! ah never knew The Lizard King was so funky & to get Ray Manzarek's Vox organ synched in was pure gold; this is like one last gift from The Doors, thanks Bill! yer alright
This is glorious. This is like praising God in church. This is what is saving our country.😊
I completely agree. When alive, I'm sure JIM, and the DOORS, would have no problem, sharing the stage, and the sound studio, to be grooving, with THE TEMPTATIONS.
The Doors as a funk band just works. Great song.
Morrison's voice is so fricking good.
Found this two weeks ago, listened to it every day at least 10 times, I intend to listen to everyday for the rest of my life
This video just proves how much these soul acts impacted rock singers back in the day. Many of their vocals fit right into soul with zero effort.
They weren’t rock like other rock they were heavily blues and jazz influenced not like AC/DC or something who were blues and rock and roll influenced
I don't stress as much from tolerating the 2000s and the 90s. I am grateful I was born in the 80s. Great artwork.
Awesome mix. The Angus Young solo caught me off guard but blended in so well.
Break on Through (to the Shaky Ground)!
Never knew The Doors could get funky with it! Matching the organ solo with The Temptations music is a winner! 🎵🎵🎵🎵 and a spot on my playlist "The Greatest Mashups"!
When people were busy being divided over petty differences...this is the music I always imagined in my head...instead...;)
Hendrix said that he had a dream of buying a ranch and turning it into a Rec Center, with an open door policy and a fuck off maxed out studio.
Anybody would be welcome to sit there, jam, and brainstorm.
He was also discussing a collaborative album with Miles Davis.
Imagine what could have been.
Wow I'm actually tempted to arrange this for my disco band
This sounded legitimate. Jim Morrison is proud from the other side.
Imagine if our younger generation heard this mashup, and thought it was the original track. Imagine their shock when they learn it's a product of McClintock Magicks.
If this isn't real, I don't want what is.
This could be released in 2022 and it could be a hit
The Doors, The Temptations, and Soul Train. My life is complete.
The awesomeness of this mashup doesn't surprise me because The Doors were incredibly funky after all but the exquisite meshing of these songs is still a joy to behold!
Oh man, just got to Angus' solo!!! He's so in the pocket :-D
Nothing like a little funk mixed with your rock🤘😎
probably one of the best mashups I've heard yet
Another great mashup! Never thought I'd hear The Doors with a funky groove tune, works perfectly! And the added AC/DC, Young solo was the cherry on top!
My thought too...cool mashup...and then just a touch of AC/DC for extra goodness
@@johnqualmann the best!
Visually this is next level
Certainly a breakthrough in awesomeness!
I think Jim would have loved this 💖💖🔥🔥🔥🔥
Agree on s.o. many levels..Much Respect from New Orleans Louisiana..☆ steph..opal Aka Big Mama
The Angus Young solo is just the icing on the cake😩👌🏾
Clever. It's like mashing "Riders On The Storm" with "Billie Jean".
I love that you include guest guitar solo cameos!
*Breaking On The Funky Ground* would be a good alternate title for this mashup.
If you want your mind blown so badly that you can’t (CAN) stand it then stroll around on Bill’s channel for a song or... THIRTY... Pure brilliance. And Angus 3:45 YEA...!!
This is how you put together two small pieces of gold, and you have a big original diamond as a result.
Incredibly well done, and sounds fantastic.
You're gonna keep me having to play you on KLOS radio, Los Angeles!
Love Jonesy
Just now discovered these and I’m absolutely gob-smacked! Been watching non-stop for an hour and driving my friends nanners with texts. Dude, you are an editing savant. Your ears are made of gold.
love the repurposed random guitar solo. keep up the good work
No f'in way! Ha ha that organ solo. Genius.
Another of my personal favorite mashups! Love that the harpsichord solo is included (at 1:24 mark) in the song combo - and an unexpected guitar solo to finish it off, too! 🎵🎵🎵🎵 and is now part of my playlist "Greatest Mashups"
Anyone else look forward to Bill's mashups?
Bill McClintock is a national treasure.
Greatest mashup ever,Qfm 96.3 Columbus Ohio just played this other morning.
Oh yeah,
You know the day destroys the night
Night divides the day
Tried to run
Tried to hide
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side
Break on through to the other side,
Break on through to the other side
We chased our pleasures here
Dug our treasures there
But can you still recall
The time we cried
Break on through to the other side
Break on through break on through
Yeah
Break on through to the other side
Break on through break on through
Yeah

Yeah!
C'mon, yeah
Everybody loves my baby
She gets high
Everybody loves my baby

Country in your eyes
Arms that chained us
Eyes that lied
Break on through to the other side
Break on through yeah
Break on through to the other side
Break on through, break on through

That's some groovy shit right there
I'm happy that I didn't read the comments or expanded description before watching. That might have spoilt the Aussie surprise.
1:23 good god that Ray Manzarek gets me everytime on them keys the way he do
Awesome! Your mixes stay in my head and end up replacing the originals. Love it! ⚡
I AM THE LIZARD KING... I can GROOVE TO ANYTHANG!!!!
🦎🤙
Who knew that funk could make the Doors even better? Bill did...
From the very first yell and straight on through (to the other side), genius pairing. :D
Man there's so much new life in these old songs , greatness became AWESOMENESS thanks to you 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥✌
So insanely good. Like they wrote it together. 2 different genres of music and it flows. When you testify it’s raw and real and the audience can here it
i cant stop coming back to this !!!!!! that organ though !!!!!!
One of the best Mashup I've seen, really awesome, I also loved how Angus came in at the end on guitar, awesome touch, well done!
High bar, but I think this just might be your best yet! Thanks for all the work you do. What an amazing ear AV skills!
It's right up there with Bill McClintock's best mashups. The Billy Idol/Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye/RATT and Hall & Oats/Supremes songs are my personal faves from McClintock, but I won't argue with you on this one.
Never a dull moment when Bill puts out a mashup. Keep it up I love these.
my favorite mashup ever man I religiously listen this shit. imagine having the ear for this
You've done it again, Mr. McClintock! Thank you!
This one is magic! All of Bill's mashups are excellent, but this is a cut above.
Ok, I've got major goosebumps 😜 Bill, you are amazing!!!
Nobody nowadays cared about rock and roll until my homey Bill reconstructed it for the masses. Keep on keepin' on, Bill Dawg.
The solo from Back in Black is some sweet icing on this cake.
If jim Morrison would have lived just imagine the possibilities.
I think he might have become a Conservative radio personality.
Nitai Gauranga totally
RUclipsWatcher...it's a shame that you got your AIDS from a nobody.
Jim didn't have AIDS either but that didn't stop you from spreading fake news.
@@JohnSmith-gq9gn Agree.
Bill's are the best videos like this I see on the internet...through quality and content...not only are they creative and worthwhile, I find myself listening to them over and over. Anybody who "hears" Slayer and The Bangles together AND has the genius to put it into reality is a caveman in a spaceship. Fly Grak, Fly!
Tunes from an alternate parallel universe…this is a great channel!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is its own thing..beyond mash up.
Brilliant.
I didn't know Mr. Mojo Risin could lay down the funk. Manzarek's keyboard solo sounds fantastic with a funk groove. And Angus makes an appearance too! Well played sir.
Everytime I hear one of your songs I think there is no way you can top it. Then you upload something and I find myself thinking the same thing again. Well done Bill.
This is so ridiculously good
Jim is feeling the funk!
God help me I'm dancing to this. I'm a metalhead. I dont dance 😂
What can i say.. you've done it again.
Love it.
Some serious synergistic shit going on here. Pure evil genius at work Mr McClintock
This is so frickin’ AMAZING!!! Awesome Bill.
