@John Galt Dough very few under 40 or 50 but I guess many over that age know most of it...I would like to know who's singing at the end, is it Merry Clayton?
As a Slayer fan, he got me waiting for Club Tropicana to start after the first part of War Ensemble. (It will be hilarious to hear it live in Rock In Rio later this year)
I'm always disappointed when I hear the opening tambourine and bass of Walk Like an Egyptian and the lyrics don't start with AUSCHWITZ THE MEANING OF PAIN! :(
look I'll just say it; these are the best mashups on youtube, hands down. there's a lot of them floating around nowadays, some of which have a lot more views, but none of them reach Bill McClintock level of quality. most of them are simply throwing isolated lyrics over instrumentals and matching up the tempos before calling it a day. what Bill is doing goes well beyond that. he goes deep with blending styles across a wide range of musical genres and history. it's always amazing to see what completely random yet perfectly matched guitar solo he's going to throw in from left field.
Yes Bill is an ARTIST..I wish I had a record company..I would give all the studio time he needed, sound engineers and maybe thrown in a computer program for precisely matching tempos and let him ride out.
I've been a drummer for 30 years, so I get how this works musically, but what I don't get is how you're able to outdo yourself on a consistent basis. 🤘👍🔥🔥🔥👊
I woke up in the middle of the night, one night, hearing the lyrics to Blondie’s ‘Heart of Glass’ being sung over the Mamas and the Papas’ ‘California Dreamin’... I have absolutely no idea how that would work, but I have to credit that bug being put in my ear to the amazing mashups you’re doing on this channel. They are, in a word, stunning!
I'm 60 so I had a lot of the records in your mashups. I could never make sense of why I like such a wide range of styles and artists. Now I know. I'm in awe.
Dude. You have definitely created a different music genre. It's fresh, retro, surreal, jamming, funking, metal crunching,... It"s Bill McClintock music. Every tune you make of late hits my gym play list. Thanks for reviving great music and making it EVEN BETTER. You make my RUclips.
Okay that is CRAZY. From the intro measures all the way to the end. And the "GiveItToMe"/"Gimme" lyric dovetails soooo nicely. I hear the backup singer for "Gimme Shelter" and I'm reminded of the story she told in "20 Feet From Stardom" about recording her part in that track.... Anyway, incredible work here.
Merry Clayton... that poor girl has been through so much shit... Lost her first pregnancy the day after she recorded the vocal heard here... more recently lost both legs to a car crash that nearly killed her... and she's still singing!
@@richardharrold9736 Glad she's still singing but the rest is awful to hear, I had heard that she lost her baby shortly after but the thing I was watching sat on the fence about the two things being related. Amazing strength to keep singing after that, let alone a car crash that took her legs. I don't think I'd want to sing a particular song ever again if I associated it with such a dark time in my life. I guess that strong voice comes from a strong soul.
Mad, again as always this Bill McClintock shit works.. And how bout that lass at the end with the vocals, man what a voice?? Astonishing, I'm going to listen to this another time just for her.
Bill, you Sir, are a magician. I worked in Hollywood (film/TV production) for almost 20 years and met Rick James on a show he appeared on. I worked alot of movie premieres and each and every time James showed up in attendance he would always single me out and say: "My Brother Man!" and shake my hand. He remembered me from that TV show and I will always remember how nice and kind he was - a totally class act. My Brother Man!
"In 1993, James was convicted for two separate instances of kidnapping and torturing two different women while under the influence of crack cocaine, resulting in a three-year sentence at Folsom State Prison." A helluva guy!
I feel like music artists true purpose was to make songs so that you could mash them together. Always such superb mixes, including the videos not just the audio. A true master, an artist.
Mick Jagger, Rick James, Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards have done so many drugs in their careers that, if you were to show them this mashup, they'd probably think they really did get together on a couple of tracks but don't remember it.
💥I watched the last mashup and said “This can not be topped”…. Then…. THIS…!! My favorite Stones song of all time with Mick, Eddie and Rick…. And Charlie 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Ok, THIS… can not be topped…!! 🏆💥🏆💥🏆
This is so good. I've been listening to thundercat, parliament, and Rick James all week and then you make this when I was wondering when your next upload was coming. Yesssss
You sir, have outdone yourself. That was fantastic. Rick James and The Stones with a guest solo by Ed Van Halen?? :D These creations are a hell of a demo of your production skills, you are talented and you have a great ear. Great job, very entertaining.
What a talent! Turning 2 songs I barely like into one masterpiece I love. Impressive skills, creativity and execution. I love this man's work! And he has great taste in guitarists.

Well done!

It's been scientifically proven! My blood is the natural equivalent to LSD!!
When Merry Clayton's voice breaks, it gets me every time.
This isn't a mashup video....it's actually a glitch in the Matrix that was somehow captured on film.
A glitch, or the Matrix operating at peak efficiency?
@John Galt Dough very few under 40 or 50 but I guess many over that age know most of it...I would like to know who's singing at the end, is it Merry Clayton?
@John Galt Dough Tell us more please...
green she is Lisa Fischer, the Stones back singer since 1989. Such a great voice.
What do you think a great mashup is?
Some of your combination versions of songs have replaced the originals in my brain. Great stuff
Me too
I heard "Round and Round" by Ratt at a breakfast restaurant and was disappointed not hearing Marvin Gaye.
As a Slayer fan, he got me waiting for Club Tropicana to start after the first part of War Ensemble.

My time continuum is broken by Bill
Possibly one of the greatest things I've seen/heard in my life. Because of this I don't want to kill myself tonight.
BILL! You deserve your own station on Sirius XM
I'm watching this thinking this is the best version of a Stones song I've ever heard and then Eddie Van Halen shows up and solidifies it.
Exactly what I was just thinking!!
Eddie gets around in here.
This is what I expect to hear if I ever reach heaven.
Mick James is one of my favourite singers.
Rick Jagger good too
Those "Rape, Murder, it's just a shot away" lines in the end are some of the best vocals ever recorded on an album. The complete dedication...
Her voice cracked twice in that performance and unfortunately, she lost her child because of the strain of singing it.
@@mrnucor thanks.
At 3:14 singer Merry Clayton rips up the "background" in "background vocals." Incredible performance.

EXACTLY!!
That chorus is unbelievable in this context. One of the greatest hooks of all time, and it works so fucking well with Rick James. Great job as always.

Just discovered this channel, agree completely, Bill improves every song. Man needs to be a producer. Number ones all over the board.
This is slicker than Rick James' Jheri Curl.
You win the comments
Rick never had a jheri curl. He wore braids. His hair was a loose texture. He would get mad if you said that he used chemicals 😁
I thought Rick and the Stone City Band all wore wigs... well... except the guitar player LOL!
But those were braids not a L.A. curl
This Bill deserves an Emmy. In all categories.
God damned brilliant. DJ Cummerbund is fantastic, and Wax Audio can mashup like a fiend, but McClintock is the king of this shit.
Wow! And cameo Van Halen!

This mashup has completely warped my brain. Now I can’t enjoy either song by itself because it’ll be missing the parts from the other song.
