I literally bought into RUclips Music just so I could have Bill and a few other mash-up artists' playlists downloaded straight onto my phone. It's like I got an iPod full of these wild creations.
I once passed an upscale restaurant playing the String Quartet Sabbath CD. All these bourgeosie chuckleheads with their Chateaubriand and vintage wine had no idea they were basically listening to "We Sold Our Soul For Rock 'n' Roll" having no clue.
But it is cut short but yes Adrian the so called more commercial sounding iron maiden writer trooper solo although edited adds a nice contrast to this Mashup and I am a huge iron maiden fan.
This only proves how awesome "Maniac" is. Yes, it's 80's pop music but back then pop songs had great musical arrangements and talented people recording them
Pop in the 80s was usually pop-rock, so there's that. And synth pop, which was the 80's equivalent of piano rock like Elton John. So, yeah, 80s pop was really good stuff.
Whenever I hear the lyric "she dances like she's never danced before" I always imagine it being as if she never has danced before i.e. a total newbie, limbs flailing. And a maniac. I just love that mental image. You're welcome

He’s never combining two truly random songs; he finds two songs written with the same rhythm/musical structuring and that’s the essence of what makes these possible and how they can fit surprisingly well. I don’t know a ton about music but an example is the most common rock beat is “4/4”, where it’s 4 bars of 4 notes/beats each, repeating throughout the song. If you think of 2 or 3 classic rock songs, you can probably count in your head: 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4, ..and then you’ll notice that’s precisely when it changes to the chorus, which also fits exactly this timing. PS: the opposite are the most random “time signatures”, bands like TOOL and Mudvayne even switch between multiple peculiar time signatures during a single song, which is pretty cool. Even Master of Puppets has some distinct changes like if you think about the middle breakdown “Master! Master! Where’s the dreams that I’ve been after?”, then the solo, but especially at the end of the solo when there’s a pause, before it resumes with “......It was worth all that”. I remember seeing in Guitar Hero how the music bars would suddenly have this bizarre bunched-up segment during that silence (with no notes 🟢🔴🔵🟡🟠 on them) and I always wondered what it meant, until I learned this.

In the case of "Boogie Wonderland" and "I Was Made for Loving You" both are 1979; in the case of "The Trooper" and "Maniac", both 1983. Little details that just make my day... p.s. Often, the names of your neobands and neosongs are just brilliant! "She's a Trooper", hahaha.

When my band plays our punk/metal version of loverboy working for the weekend i always sneak in a trooper chorus yell and lead guitar line. And we also do maniac and have not thought to mix these 2. Impressive. Most impressive.
