People give Skrillex a lot of flack, and I'm guilty of it too. But you have to admit, this is really frickin cool. Two completely different generations collaborating for an epic tune like this. It's just really cool.
Man I'm so glad to see so much positivity and respect towards both Skrillex and the Doors for this collaboration now. I have been coming back to this video all the time since like the fourth grade. Also I love how Skrillex has that shit down to a science in ableton, meanwhile the doors r like whatever man let’s just jam.
One thing about Skrillex is his ability to put what’s on his mind directly out. Not a similar sound but what he envisioned. There was no walls for his sound.
The most awesome thing about this video is the way Skrillex reacts when he meets the Doors. It seems like he becomes insecure of the idea to live up to them while working because he admires them so much. Future artists might have a same situation with Skrillex.
It was a good idea to turn down that tempo. Also it's super cool how Skrillex took those sounds from the jam sessions and added his own twists to them. A collaboration in the truest sense
I love it when different generations collaborate, and young artists work with guys who were huge during their time, especially infamous people like the doors, it shows respect for pat music and how they carve the way, I'd imagine older groups love doing stuff like this, they can relate so much to each other it's not even funny, I love people some times

This is such nostalgia. RIP Ray Manzarek!
Skrillex is one of the most experimental artists to ever exist, STILL to this day. Ill NEVER forget when this shit came out. Skrillex undoubtedly changed my life in many ways.
You need to listen to more music
@@user-sk4wf3ve6z it's true tho his kind of diversity is very rare
@@V0ID_beats not really, listen to electronic artists like max cooper, moderat,Jon hopkins,Alex banks, autechre etc etc if you wanna hear music that doesn't fit into any particular genres
@@user-sk4wf3ve6z Skrillex doing stuff like this with the doors is way more interesting lol
@@mikewheeler864 it is if you like simple music haha
"DJs just sit behind a keyboard putting sampled beats together" LOL
That's no Djing thats how skrillex make music Djing is when you use controller
Oh I gotcha haha
Well that's what they do in our country. Wish they try to learn more complex stuff than just playing a random love song with a drum loop
Correction Skrillex uses CDJs , also DJing is allot more complex then that trust me , it's all about how you mix and read the crowd Skrillex is very good at this check out his boiler set
LOL 2:08 The Doors are not amused by that drop
one of them is looking like hes about to vomit in a second
"Aha aha.. aha"
totally
Drop name please??
I'm korean T-T
정버꾸 That was just some random drop Skrillex prepared but the Original song is called "Breakn A Sweat" and its an amazing song.
“I make most of my songs in hotel rooms”
Hotel guests: wtf’s all that going on?
Hotel owner: oh that’s Skrillex, don’t mind him. He likes dubstep.
Dear Skrillex,
Your tight, but put down the cigarette and pick up a joint.
Talk about the next level.
Gotta love the doors. They predicted exactly what music of the future would be like 50 years on. And they made the synth for this track. Awesome band!
Jim did
People give Skrillex a lot of flack, and I'm guilty of it too. But you have to admit, this is really frickin cool. Two completely different generations collaborating for an epic tune like this. It's just really cool.
One of my favorite Skrillex songs. Goes super hard.
2:05 the Doors guy in the back chewing on some food starts bobbing his head LOL
That robbie Krieger
One of his best songs
Why did i read that in an apu voice???
Fuck off back to da kwiki-mark
Am watching this, is so fucking funny in 2:16
Skrillex: Is all basic like this
Ray: A ha, a ha, aha, yeah
XD
hahahaha
Piss off with my copy
ARTHUR JIMÉNEZ p
Well dude, things happen, i never watch what you write.
It blows my mind that he just sat down on a keyboard and instantly played the chords for the song. Right away
At 2:08 his sounds used to have something that producers nowadays can never have...
11 years ago this track dropped... and it's STILL in my main playlist.
2:08, I mean, this drop would've been cool too.
Man I'm so glad to see so much positivity and respect towards both Skrillex and the Doors for this collaboration now. I remember when this came out so many Doors fans and older rock fans were trashing dubstep as a genre and Skrillex specifically and were only there to mock the Doors for being open to this. We need to keep looking forward
*Skrillex is my Inspiration*
same here

Mine too

Ay....ay..
De seguro lo conociste ayer, !!payaso¡¡
Skrillex: plays beat
Robbie: (thinking) What am I supposed to do with that geez this is what the new music sounds like?! I don’t get it
Ray: Alright that’s pretty lit fam check it out I wrote this gucci hook that goes perfect with it-FINISHES SONG
Skrillex collaborating with the doors was pretty much the most brilliant thing any producer ever did.
First bit seems so tense because you can see, Different generations whom do it a different way. But loved how both sides work together, Skrillex got to do what he's good at and they got to play how they've always played...
Well impressive to see him jump on a keyboard and instantly start playing to it that was next level freestyle. Skrillex end product of that track was amazing. Such an inspiring artist, Virtuoso how he seems to project so many styles, Doing something different its never the same...
Was anyone else in like some sort of pre-learning phase with digital music production as well when they first watched this?
Holy shit. I thought I was the only one!
Klutchmusic (愛勢夜) i'm a year late, but same
Yeah. I was srsly inspired with this video years ago. LMAO
Your username makes me sad reading your comment :(

skrillex is an amazing individual and producer. such personality!

Everybody gangsta until an elder guy craft a sick beat in literally 5 seconds. 2:40

RIP Jim Morrison
RIP Ray Manzarek
I have been coming back to this video all the time since like the fourth grade. Also I love how Skrillex has that shit down to a science in ableton, meanwhile the doors r like whatever man let’s just jam.
One thing about Skrillex is his ability to put what’s on his mind directly out.
Not a similar sound but what he envisioned. There was no walls for his sound.
Skrillex: 'this part is so good!" *bangs head*
The Doors srarting to think good music is extinct: 😐
Just a question, do you like electronic music or not? This comment is confusing
Just because one doesn't like Dubstep, it doesn't mean that it can be assumed that "music is dead".
I love this man and respect perspective of the old sound.
It is 2023, why does time flies so faaast smh.. I want a time machine. I remember when this song was new on the RUclips recommended screen.
The most awesome thing about this video is the way Skrillex reacts when he meets the Doors. It seems like he becomes insecure of the idea to live up to them while working because he admires them so much. Future artists might have a same situation with Skrillex.
2:16 Me when someone I hate tries to talk me
🙁 same 😟 that hurts
To talk to me.
@@djmarsone5209 yo
Yeah that was awkward haha
It's Skrillex and his music changed the EDM forever, Love this guy
It was a good idea to turn down that tempo. Also it's super cool how Skrillex took those sounds from the jam sessions and added his own twists to them. A collaboration in the truest sense
what lucky bastards... skrillex jammin with doors and skrillex jamming with doors.....mixture of 2 generations wow
I love it when different generations collaborate, and young artists work with guys who were huge during their time, especially infamous people like the doors, it shows respect for pat music and how they carve the way, I'd imagine older groups love doing stuff like this, they can relate so much to each other it's not even funny, I love people some times
Ow god, the old days of Skrillex!!
His music is better now :|
nah
BananaSlayer64 lol no!
His music now is really bad!

i find myself coming back to this so much now and then
Those old guys.. they do love dubstep.. but why.. that's rare

Because they are musicians and recognise that it does have musical quality and isnt just noise like a lot of older people think
