Wow this is epic PNW fishing. I mean so much action. I've caught all these species but not in 1 day in 1 river. Thats like the ultimate day right there
it was almost 60 degrees out today (January 8th) and i considered grabbing my rig and going out but there's so little light. nice to have the option of giant trout just around the corner up here in the PNW tho
Awesome! I really need to get the kids out doing this type of exploring for river fisheries. So nice being able to find places not overrun with people! Maybe a wading staff e or something you could use to help with balance and check depths? I think you can get collapsable ones.
Hello. Wich river in Washington is he fishing on?. Bull trout are not common in most rivers. Im in Oregon and Bull trout are almost always in Esatern Oregon. :)
I know where you are😉 i hauled a wood stove up that mtn you pointed out when i was younger, to the lookout. Spent a lot of time there fly fishing. No steelhead up that far yet and by then its usually closed up there
@@trails4all such an amazing place I wish I'd explored up in that area when I was a younger man So many magical places. Including some of my favorite alpine lakes
@@BourbonForageFishing beautiful location. I started researching and map tracking after I watched your video and I do believe I have figured out which river you are fishing, :)

There are a few rivers in Washington where they have decent populations still.
But most rivers they are endangered.

It's all the rave!!!
Bull trout and then a Coho steelhead are straight on the tail and salmon have a fork tail
i would encourage you to get yourself a wading staff. Or use one of the thousands of pre made wading staffs that are lying around in the forest.

Made in Irwindale cali
That would be a non-spawning condition jack coho, not steelhead.
