Spring Steelhead Fishing on the Salmon River

Three days of Steelhead fishing. Over the there days of fishing, we experienced a wide range of fishing conditions. Being able to adapt helped us put fish in the net. I live up here in the Pulaski area on salmon river and I’m new to fly fishing. What size rod and real do you recommend to be able to get out fly fish after the steelheads?. It’s a shame not to take the opportunity to learn something new.
