Hey Jay,
Have you ever tried a propeller fly? like Pistol pete? As these salmon actively chase inline spinners and some King Salmon fly guides have used the propeller fly as the tool to get it done when everything else fails?

what hooks are you tying on? they don't look very heavy. do you have them straighten out on you?

I am tying a lot of my flies Daiichi hooks do not have much of a problem straightening out
