Bought a 2000 xk8 coupe about 6months ago for 3400. Im the 4th owner of the car. Looked through the service history n found reciepts of purchase. Car was £65k new. After 3 years was traded in and 2nd owner paid £32k for it. What a car tho, br green, with 20inch split rims, black leather interior and a decent sound system for a 24 year old car. Turns heads everywhere i go. Yes, there are faster cars but i dnt care. Got gapped my a mapped cupra r but the xk8 looks amazing, especially compared to the modern sh1t released in todays market.
Given the state of UK roads and the traffic density, I suggest a better option is to spend £5000 to £6000 on a decent circa 1962 Morris Minor 1000. Register it as a classic and it's about as cheap as motoring gets.

I've joked about other companies trying to do a "New Coke" but not only has it never happened, it would have been better in all those cases - this is another! If it's not a Jaaaaag, it's not a Jag. The rebrand has reduced the chances of me buying an F-Type, I can't as easily mock a brand I'm a customer of...
Cracking idea about the knitting, I think you put a lot more thought into it than Jaguar. The timing is perfect if a tad late for Christmas themed jumpers, that's it 5 Xmas jumpers for less than a Jag (now that every owner will be selling theirs). Top 5 knitting patterns and you could mention how fast they could be completed. I really don't why you haven't done it sooner sod your loyal car followers... if jaGuar can do it why not (just kidding)
With jags new " direction". Does this mean the older cars will lose the value? Or knowing they are never likely going to produce a V8 again boost there appeal? Whats people thoughts on this.
I personally lean towards old and cool "manly" jags are going to stabalize and then rize in value, but i think it will take some time for people to realise that jaguar in its old glory was great and something seperate from this trans-jag-fag-uar thing that is about to launch. I will be looking to buy a jag in a couple of years and hope that prices goes stable here. what do you think?
I personally hope the values bomb but that's just because I'm selfish and want to be able to afford one 😂, would love a 4.2 super XJR or XKR 🤔. The absolute dream would be a V8 F type though. Maybe if the princess bomb i might be able to get one in a year or two.

@@07dean93Deffo, I was also looking at S Type Rs about a year ago they seemed a good bit cheaper back then but off course I didn't have the cash, now I have but they along with the XJRs have went up in value typical
I guess we look at car companies that have closed down and what happened to their prices. Saab gives you an example as does delorean and Holden in Australia. The prices of regular models will probably drop but the special vehicles will rise. As long as there is a leaper or growler on it if course.
The facelift F Type R75 (basically new name for SVR) is also a very good buy. I have a 2022 one, 575hp 5.0 V8 SC, brilliant but doesn't look at leery as the previous SVR or noise but still very reasonable considering how bad say an RS7 sounds etc. Also F Pace SVR, i think its one of the most underrated performance SUV out there, insane amounts of spec. I think you can get maybe 2022/3 for maybe 60k possibly less massive depreciation

I think you're being too pessimistic about the future. The future is EVs. There's no way on this earth that they won't make cool exciting EVs to replace the F type in the future. I'm actually excited to see what they'll make.
