When I was young and broke I would bring a pruning saw with me when fishing in winter. If someone had hung and lost a lure in a now-leafless tree, and if I could reach the branch, I would cut the branch and get myself a free lure!
: I’m surprised you do not pull hard body lures out of the trees. Make a line with a weight on it and cast it up in a tree. I’ve been doing that for a few years. Then there are all the odds and ends folks lose. Knifes, all types of tools multi -tools, bags of soft lures, jigs, etc, etc.
Lol I pulled a worm up with my shakey head that had like 900 lb mono a fatass snap swivel and a 3oz weight. I have no clue what he was fishing for. Our lake has stunted bass and bluegil.
Same every time I go trout fishing I look in the brush and find size 10 long shank hooks with 20 lb mono on it and I think what were they fishing for!?
Yesterday I found a small jerk bait on the side of the road someone probably broke of while on their bicycle because it was not even close to end water and it had some line that looked like it had snapped off on the end of it
Right on. Been a good couple of yrs for me too. I have found some really nice, usable lures: 3 Megabass crankbaits, Evergreen International buzzbait, Black Dog bluegill wake bait, 7 or 8 Berkley Flicker shad, over 28 lipless crankbaits, 4 River2sea baits (frog, whopper ploppers, & 200 S-waver), a 6th sense Trace glide bait, 10+ surface baits, over 21 crankbaits, 3 Jackhammer vibrating jigs, 13 jerkbaits, 8 spinnerbaits, 3 Duo Realis spy baits, and numerous inline spinners. Too much to count. Best tool find: brand new pair of Gerber pliers. Best ✂ find: Cuda line cutters. But never found a dollar at the lake.
Pretty sure the lipless crankbait without hooks that you couldn't identify is an older Strike King Diamond Shad, and my favorite lipless crankbait ever! Super hard to find these days. Nice find.
I think a cool video idea would be you and your brother find those old lures and try to fix them up and fish them like a lure restoration or make one out of what you find like a Frankenstein lure keep up the good work love your vids tight lines!
i cant wait for summer because thats when i go lure hunting. once it warms up next year, im getting out the swimming goggles and jumpin in the river to get all my stuff back and a lot of stuff other people lost. i know the area where i lost 16 spoons and im getting those back along with all my catfish gear that snagged on a log and my knives i dropped
Hey mate how do you go about cleaning all your lures you find, I’m from Australia and recently went to a local dam and found 45 lures in total and want some advice for making them sparkle again, cheers
That unknown lipless crank is a Karl's "thwacker"! They're loud, durable (i've accidentally smacked mine on docks and posts many time - paint hardly chipped), my boyfriend caught a gorgeous pike (30+ inches) on the burnt craw colour; and have a really good weight to them.
The lipless crank between the KVD 1.5 square bill and the Red Eye Shad in delta craw is a Karl's Amazing Baits Thwacker in chartreuse gill. Just an fyi my man.
@@chrisjones1390 you can find cool stuff at any lake / river as long as the water lvls are low and there were people fishing and losing lures before it dropped.
You certainly know your lures👍. Not only did you make good content scavenging, but you also made it safer for swimmer's feet👣. Would really appreciate an old school lazy-man style video on how to catch different fish species using live bait earth worms, meal worms & insects. How to rig the line with bobber, weights, hook, swivel hook & attachment lengths & water depth. Sometimes it's nice to just relax in a chair with a good book or puzzle while glancing at the bobber, yet making the catch🐟. Blessings on your RUclipsr success!
If you came to one of my local lakes in Tucson, Arizona you'd find over $5000 worth of lost lures and catfish rigging if you could troll the bottom of a 10 acre lake. There's also about 10 barrels somebody many years ago threw into the lake to catch/entice pike. Those have about $1000-$3000 worth of lures probably
No......no...Those geese need to stay up north...They are causing some of our lakes to be closed...I'm tired of them lmao... Keep up the great work! I enjoyed the video!

Buddy , I'm about to do that on the weekend to get my spinner back

How about a lure restoration video? Take the old hooks off, hydro dip and then fresh hooks... Would make for some good content.
Alex Ramirez - I would definitely like to see a lure restoration video, too. I've seen people make lures, but not restore them.
I have done that should I maybe make a video painting and putting new hooks on old baits
That is a great idea, I am going lure hunting tomorrow and I will try to find some that I can do that too.

Definitely !!

That’s crazy! I lost a red eye shad there last year! I parked and fished in the same picnic area there.

Copperhead Chris I ain’t worried about it. I don’t live in that area anymore. Lol
@@tryingtotrickshot1555 just a lure dude lol, shipping that thing would cost more than the actual lure.

Make some more lure hunting vids! I love these!
Landen Curtis SAAAAAAME!!!!!!!!
Wow, good finds there! I love finding lost lures myself - enjoy throwing them even more since I only paid the replacement trebles
It always amazes me when I find lures, the extremely heavy line being used, and huge snap swivels.....
Everytime🤣

Have you looked into an ultrasonic cleaner? There fairly cheap and would clean those lures easily instead of having to hand clean them all
Guilford lake!! Love kayak fishing there! Great video!
I love your lost fishing lures videos make more bro
I will take this over those fake "river treasure" videos any day. Love the videos Brandon.
how do u replace those rubber string tails on the ends uf lures? I usually end up throwing the whole lure out. (jitterbug poppers, rigs)
SHELLBACKS CLUB 🐢 sorry this is a little late but you can’t really change the skirt on your baits
What lake are you finding all of those cool lures at Brendan?
That would be telling...🤔
guess you found a " SAND DOLLAR" XD hahaha love the vid man
I like how he plants the camera and re-enacts finding it
Meh. I get what you're saying. But it makes for some "fun" footage. Feels staged, but not unrealistic to be able to go out find lost lures lol.
4:35 what is that bait called? I want to find one but can’t find one by googling it
Its a buzzbait
yes *Yes* YES *YES*
Good stuff a good find is always awsome.
Merry Christmas 🎄
You didn’t search the river this year?
That one is a rattle trap
I lost a spinnerbait there
I lost a spinnerbait just like that
Big ups to the fisherman which got the red head popper jammed between the cracked rock.

the lipless is the six sense quake, it is my favorite on the market great finds all around
The Lipless Crankbait is a Rattle Trap and the other lipless is made by Bass Pro Shop.
How do you get a popper stuck?
Those are some awesome finds bro. Playing catch up on videos today while I'm deployed to the middle east!! Keep them coming bro

I found one almost 10 years ago, I'm still using it (I have more rods) sometimes
I literally have the exact same Berkely flicker shad 7 same color and everything!
Spro lipless crankbaits are nice
I must've fished that spot in a past life!
When the lake drains more you should try and find more lures
I do the same on TVA lakes!
Great vid!
Steelhead fishing?
What lake is this
The lipless crankbait you couldn’t figure out is the Karl’s Amazing Baits Thwacker

Definitely worth more than $50, hard bodies are expensive.
How does a dollar burrito itself like that huh

That last crank bait that you didn’t know what it was , it was a jackal disc knocker that goes for $15 !!!! Don’t believe me look it up
