We had to get this same range for the downdraft. Installation is difficult because our vent goes through the floor and isn't in the best place for this oven, so we're having to cut out more of the floor to bring the vent up in a better place. Also having to reduce the 6" vent to 5". We didn't get a template either. I would have liked other options for an oven but we don't have an overhead vent.
I am in the same boat, and shopping for the gas version of this (ksdg950ess) to replace a Jennair. It’s crazy there were no drawings or templates included. Did you just have to measure and do your best to get the vent aligned?
I had this same oven installed about 6 months ago and I too got the same marks on my burners even though I was very careful. I’ve tried several different cleaners but none were able to remove the rings. I finally gave up. None the less, I do have a question: Am I supposed to turn the downdraft fan on every time I use the stove top and/or oven? I ask because with my previous DD oven, which I had for 35 years, I only turned it on when using the stove top. With this new one, I cooked a roast and the next day noticed what looks likes burn marks on the backsplash behind the left rear burner. I have “googled” and read the manual but nothing states when to actually turn the fan on. Im worried this burn mark is from not using the fan with the oven and I might burn my house down if I do it again. Thank you!
Did the Air Baffle (W10642096) come with your range or did you have to order it from a secondary source? We had an HVAC technician come out and they said we would need this piece, so I can't believe it doesn't come with the range. What was the other part that you said was missing from your kit? Is there any list of all the required parts online? I don't see it in the manual.
Worst oven I ever bought. I'm so disappointed. I bought the exact same one. Which by the way because of the chip shortage it took a year to come... but either way.. same issue with the cooktop glass there are like bubbles under the glass after using like 3 times. I'm super upset with this purchase but when we bought the house they already had a downdraft so just went with it. It was nearly 1000$ to get a range installed so said screw it. 🙄 but I would strongly advise anyone to NOT buy this oven
For about a minute I was saying “here kitty kitty what’s wrong” until I realized it was your cat and not mine 🤣

Should have shown (videoed) how to connect that rectangular vent underneath. Since that seems to be the hardest task.
Thanks for the video. made my work day a bit easier. And I now also know which range to never ever buy for myself. garbage.
Excellent video it’s really unfortunate that it scratches so easily. I am trying to get a Jenn air but it has been discontinued
I have a Jenn Air electric range, 28 yrs old. Works great. Only has 6 knobs. I was told they no longer make this type. 🙁
Shouldn't the filter be on the other side? It looked like the exhaust hole wasn't covered with the filter.
We have the same stove/oven we are getting ready to replace. Looking into this oven. I have no room for a hood

Thank you for posting your video. Very helpful.
Sounds quite powerful - is it?

I just don’t like all the fancy touch button especial being around cooking surface which always hot, wet and bang by the cookware
Thanks!
Any places besides Kitchen aid website I can buy parts?
Sundberg America
How do you like your kitchenAide downdraft.
This stove is the biggest POS I’ve ever bought
