Sharing the videos that I made for my own self reference video library. I have hundreds. They may be a little wonky and unconventional because I did not make them for RUclips. But I hope you may find something of value in them. My intention is to give back to the hobby that has given me such much enjoyment over the years.

KitchenAid Downdraft Range Installation and Review KSEG950ESS

Sort of a nightmare and disappointment. Whirlpool shipped the range with missing parts. Within a few uses the cooktop began to show signs of wear even with very gentle use I now agree with many of the negative reviews I read about the cooktop prior to purchase. Converting our existing downdraft to conventional updraft did not pencil out with the way the house is constructed so we were stuck pur...

By any chance do you know what bulbs are used for the cluster? Mine went out and need to be replaced
What does the back of the fuel gauge look like? How many wires come off of it?
GREAT MUSIC! I KNEW DIZZY. MY MOTHER SUNG WITH HIM.
Was the new tunnel more narrow then the original? My replacement one has a smaller hole then the original chopped up oone
Shouldn't the filter be on the other side? It looked like the exhaust hole wasn't covered with the filter.
Could I potentially send you a power supply out of a Japanese jvc w-vhs vcr? If you do repairs that is. I have the clicking psu problem, and it persists after I replaced a few capacitors and unplugged the psu output cables in order to isolate the psu from the rest of the unit. Click click when powered, then click click again when powered off. No display.

THANK YOU!!! My access slot was not there because the casting (aluminum) completely filled in the slot with a very thin material so I thought I needed to find a tab somewhere else to push. After watching you I grabbed a thin flat screw driver and punched out the material and was able to depress the real release tab.
This stove is the biggest POS I’ve ever bought
Thanks for this video! My HR-S2911U had the same fate as yours after a power outage 15yrs ago. After watching your video I decided to dig it out of the garage. I replaced the mosfet and the zenor and it came out of it's coma! (the diode was fine) $2.00USD for the mosfet and 100 zenors from aliexpress and it lives again! 👍

What bracket dis you use to mount the shifter.
Did it take a month to do 1 piece?
You did good on those seats
Latch the separate shoulder belt into the lap belt before buckling up. A lap belt alone will keep your lower body in place and prevent being tossed around or being ejected but offers no protection for the head and upper torso. That is what the separate shoulder belt is for.

thats impressive. I have quite a few things in front of this project thou on my ‘71 Nova!
Those seats Suck , they are low and provide Zero back and neck support , They don't Even have a latch to lock it . I sold mine and installed high back bucket seats in my 66 Chevelle Super Sport , Yes True 138 Super Sport . I could care less about original , I want comfort ! I sold that junk middle console too , It makes me closer to that M-21 MUNCIE 4 SPEED . So if you original boys needs some True SS parts that I don't want ? Don't hesitate to ASK ! 66 and some 67 Chevelle SS parts !
Any places besides Kitchen aid website I can buy parts?
Sundberg America
I just found the identical bucket seats that I bought about 30 years ago for 80 dollars. They are in better condition than I thought. I just need to sand blast and paint them and buy new foam, cover, trim and maybe springs. They are expensive now! I have a set in my first car that I’ve had for 43 years now that I had rebuilt but they already need to be redone soon. It’s been 40 years since I had them redone. Time flies! I still thought of them as new! I put the 427 in my car 40 years ago too and it still runs great. Now I have a 66 convertible and a 66 El Camino so we have plenty of projects. I have a 1970 Monte Carlo in case we get bored. It was all original and an old man owned it. It’s 402 had a bad rod bearing. It needs a new engine. My neighbor has a perfect 1970 SS Monte Carlo as inspiration. Great videos! Thanks
Nice work! I'm going to attempt the same repair. Mine are not working on my 66' Toronado
Love the T
Do you know what the two copper tabs are in front of the membrane. I broke one tab and not sure what it did
I literally did the same thing today....can't find what component it is as they don't seem to connect to anything

so many left this out its cool
Is your parking brake cable above or below your pipes ?
Where did you get your new brackets from? I’d like to buy the same for my 66
Did you hand polish it?
Sound sucks
Yeah I would put a hammer to the buzzing
I would just buckle up, it will solve the buzzer and it's the smart thing to do.
We have the same stove/oven we are getting ready to replace. Looking into this oven. I have no room for a hood
I believe your graphite shoes are too warn. When the spring is installed, there should be only about enough room to fit the spring in there. If the spring side shoe is too short, I will start to rock side to side and destroy itself. Everything must be clean and dry and use very minimal grease. If grease gets deposited on the graphite shoes or the paddles, it attracts dirt and destroys the pump. The rear bearing is very often reusable after being cleaned thoroughly. The paddle bearings are often reusable after being cleaned thoroughly. I believe the original grease was very waxy. But I have packed them with high quality wheel bearing grease. The front bearing seems to take the most abuse. It needs to have be tight and the seal needs to be nicely intact or the pump will suck dirt into. I am not an expert but I have messed with them for some time. I spray silicone spray on a towel and lighly wipe down the paddles. Otherwise, the pump can feel stuck when it isn't. No oil what so ever. The round cylinders had a graphite coating on the outside of them. Often it is partially missing. When missing and rusted, I have bead blasted and sprayed them with a type of graphite paint. It is nice stuff that is super slick. Just use light coat.... seems to work. When they were originally assembled, they had very tight clearances. I think that original coating was meant to sort of wear away or act as a lubricant. I am only guessing and I am not an expert by any means. A small dead blow hammer and a little WD40 works good at getting the rear cover off. Just tap around the edges. Don't pry it off. It can be stubborn to slide the bearing shaft out. Carefully rote and pull. Nice Video! Thanks
Can you purchase new blades for these air pumps?
Do you know where I can get replacement shoes for this?
Great video everything proven vhs tapes don't stop playing at all it's the VCR player itself what causes problem's
Did the Air Baffle (W10642096) come with your range or did you have to order it from a secondary source? We had an HVAC technician come out and they said we would need this piece, so I can't believe it doesn't come with the range. What was the other part that you said was missing from your kit? Is there any list of all the required parts online? I don't see it in the manual.
Nice jazz music playing in the background, Sounds like Ella Fitzgerald
I have one of those on my convertible but not the hardtop. Nice video!! I didn’t know anything about it, thanks.
I installed KC Daylighters in my high beam holes. I installed a relay to do it with a switch on the dash. It’s amazing how bright they are. I also added a brake light kill switch after I outran a policeman.
Great videos. I have 2 1966 Chevelles. One I bought in 1980 so I’ve had it for 43 years now. It has a 427. The other is a convertible and has the original 283. We have hummingbirds and coyotes too so I’ll watch those videos! Nice work. We live in Yacolt Washington.
Your seats looked great!! Nice job. I’m excited to do mine now. It’s amazing how many things are pretty easy once you learn how.
What kind of car did you put them in? A 66 Chevelle I hope. They look great. Identical to mine that I put in my car 40 years ago except for the button on the side to lock them. Those must be from 67. Time flies. In another 40 years I’ll be 100.
Fascinating. I always wondered how they went together. I have set of seats that I bought for 80 dollars about 35 years ago. 1966 buckets exactly like those. I have a set in my 66 Chevelle that I had redone 40 years ago for 150 per seat. I bought the seats from a coworker. I have a red convertible 66 Chevelle with bench seats so I might paint the 80 dollar set red and recover them. Old seats are going for 1000 per set. If you are going to redo everything why not buy some crappy seats instead of seats In somewhat better condition? Recovered seats are selling for 2600. Crazy. Thanks for the video.
Should have shown (videoed) how to connect that rectangular vent underneath. Since that seems to be the hardest task.
Hi, where do you order the carbon shoes? I have changed my bearing but cant find any shoes.
Did you ever find the shoes for the smog pump/
Thanks for the video. made my work day a bit easier. And I now also know which range to never ever buy for myself. garbage.
What polish did you use
I had this same oven installed about 6 months ago and I too got the same marks on my burners even though I was very careful. I’ve tried several different cleaners but none were able to remove the rings. I finally gave up. None the less, I do have a question: Am I supposed to turn the downdraft fan on every time I use the stove top and/or oven? I ask because with my previous DD oven, which I had for 35 years, I only turned it on when using the stove top. With this new one, I cooked a roast and the next day noticed what looks likes burn marks on the backsplash behind the left rear burner. I have “googled” and read the manual but nothing states when to actually turn the fan on. Im worried this burn mark is from not using the fan with the oven and I might burn my house down if I do it again. Thank you!
I'm trying to put the aftermarket bracket setup and power steering pump on a 67 and can't quite get pumped to line up
I just don’t like all the fancy touch button especial being around cooking surface which always hot, wet and bang by the cookware
Thank you for posting your video. Very helpful.
Worst oven I ever bought. I'm so disappointed. I bought the exact same one. Which by the way because of the chip shortage it took a year to come... but either way.. same issue with the cooktop glass there are like bubbles under the glass after using like 3 times. I'm super upset with this purchase but when we bought the house they already had a downdraft so just went with it. It was nearly 1000$ to get a range installed so said screw it. 🙄 but I would strongly advise anyone to NOT buy this oven
