The sudden drop in ground speed will be probably caused by turning into a strong headwind. Airspeed is what keeps planes in the air, you can fly at a ground speed of 10mph with a 150mph headwind.

In this situation, IAS (indicating airspeed) takes the account to the stall speed due to pressure. Having 110kt, 120kt or 130kt of ground speed with headwind results in higher airspeed. Taking off with high headwind results in shorter distance than tailwind take off due to high airspeed. That’s the key difference between GS (ground speed) and AS (airspeed).
Formula: True Airspeed (TAS) = GS + Headwind/ or - tailwind

The aircraft was still in a turn when they passed through 10k Feet, and the video ends immediately after finishing their roll. First rule of aviation is fly the plane. Also, they may have still been in the middle of a checklist leading up to the flight level notification. And the flight attendants don't announce anything until they have received that notification from the flight deck.

@@andrewrobinson1468 Yup. That's why auto throttles are so important in reducing pilot workload and are turned on so soon after takeoff. Heck, they are often armed as part of the before takeoff check list. Speed changes requested by ATC can get crazy in these busy terminal areas.
