When I hear this song it makes me think you can't run from your problems sometimes you need to face them but if you can't do it on your own you need someone to help you ❤ take care everyone
Ur right! Like the first one was running with the motorcycle, the second at a bar, and the third person smoking and with the phone. It remember me of my rebellion phase when I wanted to evade all my problems about school then about my parents, lol.
Has anyone else noticed in the beginning, only a single wolf was chasing the guy on the motorcycle, but when we see him again later, a lot more are chasing him. And then, at the end, there's a whole horde behind them. Almost like it's saying that running from your problems instead of facing them only creates new problems and makes things worse in the long run.
The Head is the Glasses dude, The Heart is the girl and The Mind is the bike guy The glasses dude escapes from stress, maybe family one (the red scene the guy grabs his head, with stress you get headaches) The Girl has a broken heart, The red scene shows her trying to grab someone, even screaming. and the Bike guy is depression, falling into the sad abyss, everything is be sad, every moment every decision, maybe that's why there is many wolves.
Everyone is talking about the wolf representing addiction, but to me it could also represent loneliness, it seemed like the characters were lonely, and only managed to fight back when they accidentally bumped into each other.
Zach Baritell what I meant is that the lyrics are from the wolf’s side, for example “But somewhere far away I will hear your call.” Meaning as soon as a person.. I don’t know how to put it... made the wrong move the wolf will know
@@uncle5164 i think that just means that the person's addiction is calling out, like "hey you need another cig" which is why they say "I don't trust myself once I hear your call" Because the person loses control
A friend of mine noted that: For the "driver" to save the "drinker" from his daemon, he had to sacrifice the thing that kept him running from his own. Just thought i wanted to share.
Its crazy that despite being 7 years old, SIAMES is still replying to comments made today and yesterday. Im all for it, this song is awesome and so is the video
I remember when this song was released and it feels so long ago :'D It really is wild they're still replying I've grown from a preteen to a "adult". This song was pretty big in the animation community
I wanna add that when ever the wolves are in darkness they transform and become more monsterlike i think this represents that if you just leave your problems alone in the dark they won't get better only worse also the guy at the beginning since he keeps only running away they multiply also showing you can't run also notice how the wolf that attacks him in the front is the original wolf and he had to deal with it
Gustavo Marcucci Ortiz "there are times where you simply cant run or hide from something you're afraid of, sometimes you just have to face it and fight back, those are the times" -some friend of mine
@@onutrof1157 looks like he finds helping others deal with problems that he has himself. Also when that drink adict is in the train u can see him holding coin with black cat on it which could symbolise bad luck, that later uses to pay for his drink as an excuse for having a drink.
The wolf is the rapist and he sings. « Not too old, not too young/I can feel how your flesh is crying out for more » and the wolf is created by a drug in a drink
Mr. Avacado Man the best part about this whole video is just how much they show about each character in this with such little time. They make them seem more realistic in a weird sense. Granted that girl would totally have a sore bum or none.
I'm not sure what the video has to do with the song, but it's awesome either way. Reminds me of something out of Call of Cthulhu, with the Hounds of Tindalos.
I think the wolf was supposed to be symbolic of certain vices or addictions and the difficulty of escaping them, hence it attacking when the guy got a drink, implying that he might be an alcoholic, or the girl being addicted to smoking. "I can feel how your flesh is crying out for more." Not sure about the first guy though... No helmet? Edit: Wait, I think I've got it, 2:58 Anger issues!
My theory is that the third character is dealing with his own problems (he is on the highway, the bike could represent that he is doing well on his own problems because wolves can't caught him) but then he find people that need help too so he stops and help that person(first the girl and the crash the bike to the wolf that is with the other guy) but when everything seems lost or bad, he gets himself stronger so he can deal with it even if it seems impossible.
I actually hadn't thought of the first part being that. So basically the guy on the motorcycle is doing well represented by him not being caught by the wolves. Then we have the second guy which, by the looks of it, only has one coin (doesn't have a lot of money) and is addicted to drinking since when he looks into the cup, his addiction jumps out of it and chases after him. While running away he seems to escape only to be greeted again by his problem, reminding him that he can't run away from it. Now the girl: she seems to be ok until she starts smoking a cigarette which makes the wolf appear from the shadows as she feeds her addiction. She notices that and tries to run away from her problem and while doing this comes across the first guy which is able to deal with his own problems (although, by the looks of it, keep stacking up due to the increased number of wolves after him). He saves her from her problems and both are fine until they come across the other guy. He loses himself and both him and the girl are caught up by their problems. Not being able to run away anymore, as pointed out by you, he takes the matters into his hands by bettering himself and finally confronts his own problems.
I think that maybe the bike guy issue is that hes good a running from his problems (why he could outrun the wolves on his bike) but when he saw people who needed help he finally took those problems head on(why he fights at the end)........
@@belilu1bithef0x19 it's that no matter where it is or what it is addiction will chase you down until you stand up to it. The biker was addicted to speed, the skateboarder was addicted to cigarettes, the businessman to alcohol.
As an Argentinian I am really proud that Siamés is one of the few bands from my country that is really known all over the world, thank you all for that and greetings from Argentina to your respective countries
Many people have probably already said this, but I think that the wolves aren't even real. They are simply the people's problems fromes into a physical manifestation. Everybody tries to run away from their problems, one at a time, but as the wolves become an army, it symbolizes that the problems are multiplying, that running away from them isn't gonna solve them, but just make them worse. The finale also symbolizes them confronting their problems, the man getting up, screaming as he runs towards the wolves. The lyrics sound like they come from the enemy's perspective. "cuz you can run but you can't hide, I'm gonna make you mine!" is basically saying that the problems are slowly taking a toll on them with each passing second. The lyrics "I'm out of my head, of my heart, of my mind!" emphasizes that even more. Even the fact that nobody else notices that shows that it is happening only in their minds.
I know we're all discussing the idea of the video, or even making some memes about it, but we can just take a moment to appreciate that SIAMÉS keep coming back to this video to heart something? That's some dedication to a fan-base right there. Keep it up you beautifully talented people.
I swear dude this is what I’m talking about Siames is literally coming back to their old videos and involving themselves with their fans in the comment sections. Showing love to their old videos
I think that the fact that the video does not show us if they defeated the wolves is what really gives the message. This video is not a promise of "face your problems, and you will defeat them" but instead an advice that we all should try to face our problems even though we don't actually know if we will succeed by doing so. But, as everyone in the comments has said, we should help one another with our problems in order to truly be able to face them. Note that the girl at the start tried to hit her wolf, but failed and just ran away. They only were able to fight them when they were together, showing that being with other people makes your problems easier to handle.
@@evangelionaddict8212 Oh you are right.I mean 11 wolves are chasing him and he is like "Where the fuck are this wolves coming from?"and then out of nowhere some girl showes up and hops into his bike and then he is like "WHAT THE FUCK?"and then some man there panicing because of a wolf in front of him and the teen is like "WATCH OUT!"But then two of them hop out of bike and bike explodes with a car and a big wolf and then all of them on the ground and then teen is like "You know what? Fuck it.I will punch some wolves right in the face!"
Everybody’s interpreting the song like “can’t run from your problems” and I’m just sitting here like “I love the animation. Srsly. Major props to the animators.
See, i half-disagree with the people saying that the girl breaking her skateboard over the wolf is a symbol of her fighting back. I see it more as a symbol of addiction taking everything, even what one loves to do. In her desperate swing, fueled by the fear that the wolf was there, she destroyed a healthy way to destress in outdoor activity and also a passion of hers. Skating seems very important to her, and the destruction of the skateboard could mean loss as much as it means fighting.
@@jbyker5851 or it could be like the English teacher meme pulling more out of it than the original author thought of but also liked as they saw other ways their work could be interpreted
it's really interesting, having rewatched and replayed this video so many times and looking at the comments a lot... a few months ago all the big theories were about addiction and fighting against addiction while now it seems like we've broadened the overall theory to emphasize how the video is about running away from / fighting against problems.
genius. i still like the addiction theory tho. but genius. it might be about running from anything and how were all in it together so we might as well help each other out.
"I can hear your call" Something a friend would say... I love how the lyrics present addiction as something that relieves and no matter where you are it will always be willing to help you, but the visuals contrast this by representing addiction as a beast
First time I watched this I was high on opioids and thought it was a cool song and cool animation. Second time I was fresh out of rehab and actually registered the deeper meaning and it made me cry realizing how badly disconnected I had been all that time

Moral of the story: If you run from your problems they'll only get worse, but no matter how bad things get other people, even strangers, can give you the courage to face your problems
Willow Statmore, I agree but it can also show how death can, and will come for us all, a delay for time by facing the addiction that they are in can save them valuable time that can be the difference between the death coming soon in someone's life rather than later, but that isn't always the case just a simple failure of a vital organ can also bring death, conditions are death infested because it leaves people at more of a disadvantage than others whether it be a lung condition, or a heart condition it is still a condition that could end someone's life swiftly so the only way for someone to die in a more peaceful way is surrounded by people they love, and trust. The wolf as you seem to be putting it is the addictions they face it could also be death, or their traumatic past coming back to haunt them there can be so many interpretations in the lyrics that you can't just point at one reason, it's like a puzzle you have to line up all the pieces, but there is more to do to line up the complete story.
From what I gather, it seems like this song is about facing your vices, or problems. We instinctively drown our sorrows in a variety of ways, be it drinking, smoking, driving, gaming, ect. Every time we choose to face away from the problem, the wolf gets stronger, and ultimately harder to escape which is one of the hardest truths of addiction.
To me this song kinda symbolizes how serious things can get when you hold onto problems way longer than you should’ve. Then, as anticipated, turn into real problems and then you have no other choice except to face them head first and prove that you can do it.
Everyone wants to run away from problems but they follow you like a wolf, chasing you. You run away, you deny, you ignore but in the end you will find that the only solution is to look directly at your fear.

The destruction of the bike when taking care of the other persons problem could be symbolic of how he's giving up his easy life while attempting to help this guy. Helping others isn't easy and when he does help the other man from his wolf, his problems, it makes him vulnerable as well. This could also be shown by how he had the other girl jump on, he's taking on her burdens to try and help her *escape* (big difference) alongside him. By committing this sacrifice he no longer escapes his problems while helping others, by helping others he now has to learn how to fight his own problems.
if thats the case than the meaning of running will only make the prolems multiply is true as well here. love deep thinking. but than I need to ask why no one accepts the problems and WORK with them.Sure its hard if they come around but hitting back on them like 1:40 only will make them snowball you even harder. work with or on your problems , akt like an adult should akt and all will be clear in time.
This reminds me of the Native American story about how everyone has two wolves inside, eternally fighting. One is all things good - hope, love, faith, generosity, kindness, empathy, and patience. The other is of evil - hate, jealousy, rage, sorrow, selfishness, and guilt. The wolf that wins is the one you feed. When you allow addiction to control your life in an attempt to drown out guilt or loneliness, when you give into anger or jealousy...you feed that evil wolf inside and let it take control. It is essential to have balance and not let the darker side completely consume you. It will always be there, but the good wolf must be fed to hold back the evil wolf.
the motorbike guy is badass, like no joke, he did all that stuff when he was being chased then when the wolfs had him cornered, he deadass just went straight for them.
In all fairness to the motorcycle guy, sometimes running is a smart move if the problem is legit overwhelming. There were likely the same number of wolves at the start of his journey, who's to say they didn't become tired from his efforts? His tactical retreat, using an adaptive coping mechanism (motorcycle) gave him time to find friends and face the wolves together. He was even able to use his mechanism to eliminate somebody else's wolf, leaving that person free to help him in return. Motorcycle guy was clearly never a coward, as he risked his life to save the girl and glasses guy without hesitation. Rather, he had a strategy that worked for a time, which he had to give up on once he realized that there were other people in his life that also needed help. This gave him the courage and strength needed to face his wolves head-on. There's a middle ground between always running and always fighting. There's no shame in running for a time, as long as you retain a value system and set of personal beliefs that will compel you to eventually take up arms and fight again.
Sometimes you can't fight though. Sometimes they have a gun and you don't. Couple of days ago people broke into my home and held me at gunpoint. I was ready to fight to the death but I asked them what the f they wanted and they where just looking for loot. They f'ed off after I handed over my cash. Now I'm running. What am I supposed to do. Can't go back there again. They threatened to kill me if the cops got involved but I was already on the phone with them as they made that threat. Can't fight them. Sometimes running is the only option you have.
I have stated my version before but since it has been a while I will do so again. No matter what they are running from nothing changes until they stand against it. Even if you lose, stand, fight, don't go down in fear.
The more you run, the more your problems multiply. The more you care about, the more you have to fight for, and the harder you fight back. It's fascinating that the catalyst for the growth of the first character we're introduced to is other people. Worth thinking about if you've got a few wolves on your trail.
I can't stop coming back to this song. I can’t run. I can’t hide. It keeps finding me. I'm hooked. I found a comment from 3 years ago that I left. It's still an amazing song, and i dont think I'll ever forget it. Thank you, Siames. ❤
Since I see people looking for the answers still...here's what I took from it... The wolf represents your problems, The Guy on the bike is running away from his problems, The guy buying the alcohol is an alcoholic spending his last coin on alcohol, and the woman is addicted to cigarettes, the end of theusic video represents that everyone is stronger together and as such you can face your problems together
I feel took that away as I used to run away from my problems or try and hide from them...but I fixed them since and am on the road to becoming better over all, I am actually starting by becoming the first Trans VTuber...
Reasons why i still listen to this song: - its good - its catchy - it symbolizes something - its creative - the lyrics are from both perspectives Edit: After 2 years I still love this song ❤️
From my perspective, this video/song strikes me as eerily familiar..I’ve been chased by the wolf; I’ve become the wolf; and I overcame the wolf. This song has helped me through my alcoholism! Thank you, SIAMES for creating a masterpiece for those facing the wolf daily. ❤
Various people suffer because of various reasons! The wolves are a metaphor for human problems! Each of the 3 people shown in the video are suffering because of different reasons, but they are trying to escape them. Then they learn that the only way to end their suffering is to face their problems together! that's why the bike guy helps the girl and the other guy. I think this video is an allegory for how the society should work and how it shouldn't.
This song has so many deep meanings to it. Holding onto that grudge inside you is a lesson to learn to. Cause the longer you have that grudge the bigger those wolves and demons will come back to cause problems.
My interpretation is that the chorus of the song is sung by two different characters. The part where it goes "I'm out of my head, of my heart and my mind" is sung by the individual human characters in the video who're going through their struggles with their addiction. It's driving them insane, hence the text about them being out of their mind. But the part where it goes "Cause you can run but you can't hide, I'm gonna make you mine" and "Cause I can feel how your flesh now is crying out for more" is sung by their dark desires for the substances that they're addicted to, by the wolves themselves so to speak. Their "wolves" are chasing them, haunting them to indulge further and fall deeper into the hole.
the animation is like a little case study on the impact of dynamic camera angles, perspective shots, and fast transitioning on emotional storytelling and it's very cool to see it done this well. also the amount of abstract shape transitions is super brain tingly.
I kinda saw it as "how can we chuck in a lot of our favourite bits from famous anime on an absolute shoestring by going minimalist but keeping the parts which make them recognisable and magnificent". And they pulled it off brilliantly.
Can we also appreciate that you have 69 likes and never like your comment again? Oh what if we get a comment chain where all the comments only get 69 likes, that'd be great.
Ik everyone under the sun has talked about the symbolism of addiction with each character but I really enjoy how each character reacts to the wolf and the details you can derive from their reactions. how the glasses guy who a lot of people think he's an alcoholic but I don't think people ever really say that the coin he has is likely a sobriety chip, the way he examines it and hands it away after getting that drink makes it feel very much like it is him falling back into the addiction rather than it being a constant, and his reaction to the wolf reflects that as he runs out of fear of his addiction returning. the girl initially reacts with some fight, but after seeing it has no effect resorts to running, which could give the idea that she's tried to quit before and failed, ultimately choosing to run from the problem rather than stand ground and face it. even though we don't really see the reaction of the biker (probably because with his addiction theorized to be thrill seeking and speeding it's likely the wolf just showed up while he was riding and he saw it) what you can see is how determined to outrun the problem and when finally has to confront the wolves he is visibly teared up over it but ultimately chooses to stand his ground. just love the personality of each character shining through and giving a insight as to not only their addictions but their willingness to overcome them
Thank you for mentioning sobriety chips. That scene reminds me of something from when I was little. I used to live in a city that had a sleezy bar where people who were backsliding from recovery could come in and give the bartender a sobriety chip for a free drink. The fucking rat bastard owner would even nail some of them to the wall like a trophy. Thankfully the bar owner was caught breaking several serious laws including trafficking Cocaine and was forcibly shut down and arrested.
Regardless of theories, and all that. Can we all just agree that this would scare us shitless if it actually happened? A wolf made of darkness that can suddenly shift into some abomination thing.
I just realised how clever the black and white has been done regarding the wolf. Since you can't see black on a black background, the background has some nice tricks: 0:47 white smoke. 1:06 from shadow into the street lights. 2:22 You can't see the wolf (black on black), so let there be lightning! 2:28 Tunnel has light and dark areas due to lighting. 2:45 The amazing return of the street lantern.
I remember watching this as a kid 5 years ago and liked it only because of how it sounded and now I came back to it now as an adult (20yo) and gave it a better look at the lyrics and the animation and I have to say WOW I can't believe that this goes so much deeper than I could have ever imagined when I was young! It's so amazing to finally realise what's it's all about seeing that the lyrics and animations portray some people's reality like addiction, loneliness, stress, avoiding problems in life, even random encounters with strangers with the same or different problems! This song is truly something else and I am glad I revisit it! SIAMES you rock 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥
i may sound stupid, but here goes nothing. when i found this I was in a bad place in life, my parents were divorcing, my mom was just diagnosed with cancer, and i was failing in school, and i was NEVER into listening to music, but one day two and a half-ish years ago, I was playing video games and listening to something on youtube with my shitty headphones on, and autoplay was on, so I wasn't looking and this came on and it immediately caught my attention, and for some reason it really spoke to me, I don't know how to explain, but it really motivated me and helped me get rid of my shitty gaming addiction, so i started taking school seriously and the same with my health, and I'm happy to say in one year, I'm going to Harvard to study business and entrepreneurship. So yeah, I'm proud of myself. sorry if this came off as rambling, I may go to Harvard, but I still can't write a decent paragraph.
This song is interesting because I think it’s being sung _by_ the wolf _about_ the people. “You can run but you can’t hide, I’m gonna make you mine.” It’s from the villain’s perspective.
And the second to last chorus of “I’m out of my head, of my heart, of my mind” sounds like an echo in the background- almost as if the wolf’s POV has shifted to the people who’ve succumbed to the addiction
the wof is part of the person, it is a part of their own mind, the adiction (like the dark side inside all of us) you ever hear that tale about the white wolf and the black wolf, the one you feed is the one you win? yeah, this is the black wolf, the adiction, the bad things, and we need to let the white wolf inside of us win. so this mixture of some lines being from the wolf, and some being from the person, is acctuly briliant, because it is all about the realization, that the wolf is not an extarnal figure, but internal, is inside of us, it IS US! we are figthing ourselfs.
This song is timeless the animation moreso too. The haunting wolf call, the danger you feel, how hopeless it all feels, and just how much it takes from you until you fight back
Ikr?! This came out when I was 11 and I was obsessed, now having overcome drug addiction and being nearly 17 really makes this song hit different, growin up made me understand the symbolism. Amazing art amazing message
If you choose to run away from your problems, you’re running in the wrong direction. Besides, they’ll eventually catch up someday. Facing your problems always yields positive results (from my experiences). Hope is always there, it’s something that you have to accept. If you truly believe that there isn’t, then there isn’t. The will to change is what makes you change. Move forward and push yourself beyond the limits, and you will eventually change into what you want to be. The difficulty however, varies from person to person, (very difficult, in my case) but without a doubt, it’s never impossible. Everyone is capable of change. Not everyone can easily just push themselves. Sometimes they need others to help them. Speaking of which, is never a bad thing. Reaching out for help is not an act of weakness, it only shows your will to change. There are probably endless amounts of methods to help someone, it just varies from person to person. I haven’t experienced much in my life yet. I’m still in my early teenage years I guess. I’ve been through a lot, sure, but this piece of advice was put together based on what I see in other people. There is never one solution when it comes to these kinds of problems. Anyways, have a good day if you’re reading this :)
from the perspective of a person who has created over 250 posters it always brings a smile to my face when I hear about other people going out and expressing their creativity, good luck with your future projects :)

My interpretation: The man on the bike is running from his past, hes made multiple mistakes in his past they weigh on him. The girl is lonely, she keeps to herself and no gives her the time of day. Its weighing on her and is at its most extreme when no ones around. The man is an alcoholic, life has weighed heavily on him and he only finds solace in a drink. His thoughts pick at him and he eventually finds himself at his car where the wolf is about to attack him, as hes about to make a terrible decision of drunk driving. The girl is sliding down the hill, shes going downhill in depression, and the biker is there and pulls her out of it with companionship. Then finds a drunk man about to get into his car and stops him. All together, as friends, they no longer run from their problems. They face them head on together. Moral of the story: if life is picking at you and weighing you down, theres nothing wrong with leaning on a friend whos willing to shoulder the pain with you

First came across this song by accident in 2018 and, at the time, was in denial about being suicidal. I listened to this song probably twenty times in a row before something in my brain switched on. I broke down and reached out to my family, and they helped me in getting me into therapy and out of a really dark place.
Proud you got out of it. Remember if that time comes around again, and you start getting those thoughts, always tell someone about them! People are always rooting for you out there :)
I love how the first guy ran when he saw the wolf, the girl tried to fight then ran, but the 3rd guy realized he had to fight and rose up despite his obvious fear. Awesome storytelling!
I love when the lady hits the wolf with her skateboard first rather then just running immediately. She tried to fight the problem and then fled once she saw how ineffective it was. That's so freaking real.
I´ve been dealing with depression my whole life, isolating myself and avoiding my life, putting a facade in front of everyone and shutting myself with my thoughts while they eat me from the inside everyday... I just wanted to say thanks for helping me get out of that hellhole that i thought was my life :)
@@SIAMESmusic I was looking all around the internet trying to find a tutorial on how to play this song, but i haven't been able to find one. Have you ever considered publicising sheet music so that people can learn to play. I think alot of people would like to learn how to play this song for themselves or others.
I think the “WOO WOO WOO OOWOOHO HOOO” noise played throughout the song is the infamous call of the wolf. It seems to be mimicking a howl, and it even plays after the lyrics “Somewhere far away, I can hear your call” and “I don’t trust myself, once I hear your call”. Whenever you hear the call, the wolf comes to drag you back...
My interpretation is: The wolfes are the Death representation. The thing that made me think that is the lyric part that says: "EACH AND EVERY DAY HIDING FROM THE SUNSHINE WANDERING IN THE SHADE NOT TOO OLD, NOT TOO YOUNG" and "EVERY NIGHT AGAIN DANCING WITH THE MOONLIGHT SOMEWHERE FAR AWAY I CAN HEAR YOUR CALL…" This is because Death is not too old or too young, it's forever, present every day and night, hiding awaiting the right moment. Once you do your last step it comes out and materialize for you. The thing that made me think that is the lyric part that says: "AWAITING YOUR MISTAKE" And she/he's ever present, you can't feel it but she/he's there. The thing that made me think that is the lyric part that says: "NOT TOO CLOSE, NOT TOO FAR" Simply put, the Death is awaiting and once you do your last mistake will comes out and once she/he materialize, you are screwed. The thing that made me think that is the lyric part that says: "CAUSE YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN’T HIDE I’M GONNA MAKE YOU MINE" And she/he know that you are at your last step, because once you pass it, you will forever keep doing this last step, so it's time to purify your soul, taking you away. The thing that made me think that is the lyric part that says: "CAUSE I CAN FEEL HOW YOUR FLESH NOW IS CRYING OUT FOR MORE…" Now, observing the 3 people: 1) The BAR guy last step was drinking an overdrink. The wolfes materialize. It's time to be taken 2) The girl last step was smoking once more. The wolfes materialize. It's time to be taken. 3) About the motor guy, we don't know his last step, but what is clear is that he's running by a lot of time and death became stronger and grown up, this mean more wolfes because he's delaying the inevitable and so he must be taken quickly. But in the end, he saved both the Bar guy and the Girl, so the death stopped chasing, observing this act of courage awaiting for him to make a decision. Now, once the motor guy take the decision to fight head on, the death decided to fight him one on one, that explain why only one wolf came out of the pack. But we don't know more, because the damn song NEED at least a couple more of videos, so, pretty please... MAKE MORE!
the guy on the motorcycle was going to get into a crash. The only reason he didn't hit the van that the bar guy hid behind was because the girl pointed it out while they were driving.
This music video is sheer perfection... So smooth, so beautiful, so..... perfect. just perfect The only sad thing is... we will never know if he was able to defeat his wolves
Could also be that the bike guy is the only one willing to fight against his addiction. He saved the other two and confronts them instead of fleeing from the wolves. I do like jockslap explanation but i see the problem in the wolves themselves. They are fictional, so fighting them shouldn't be dangerous. You would be fighting against your addiction, not a fictional character in a book.
Hoch134 or maybe the wolf represents the beast within ourselves, our inner desire and lust. And thats what self destruction leads to. Meh just my own interpretation.

My favourite part is where the girl's initial reaction to the wolf is to just fucking smack it round the face with her skateboard
Mr. Avacado Man the best part about this whole video is just how much they show about each character in this with such little time. They make them seem more realistic in a weird sense. Granted that girl would totally have a sore bum or none.

The animator did a really good job with that. You could just see the "Oh shit" in her eye after swinging her board.
"I can feel how your flesh is crying out for more."
Not sure about the first guy though... No helmet?

@@lunahymnpala3081 imortal
I think their running from addiction
One of the characters at the end eventually runs towards the problems and finally decide to deal with it is also a nice detail
Concuerdo contigo uwu
I think that maybe the bike guy issue is that hes good a running from his problems (why he could outrun the wolves on his bike) but when he saw people who needed help he finally took those problems head on(why he fights at the end)........
i can barely figure out what i should have for lunch
He's running from his problems and then says, "fuck it" and faces them head on

I like the official siames channel keeps pinning these different comments.

👌👌👌

Damn now i feel dense af for not noticing this
Willow Statmore, I agree but it can also show how death can, and will come for us all, a delay for time by facing the addiction that they are in can save them valuable time that can be the difference between the death coming soon in someone's life rather than later, but that isn't always the case just a simple failure of a vital organ can also bring death, conditions are death infested because it leaves people at more of a disadvantage than others whether it be a lung condition, or a heart condition it is still a condition that could end someone's life swiftly so the only way for someone to die in a more peaceful way is surrounded by people they love, and trust.

Wasn’t it two bears?
If there's a version with bears, I've never heard it and it's probably from a different tribe than mine.

I really loved this comment, it gives a new perspective to the video thanks man

Sometimes you can't fight though. Sometimes they have a gun and you don't.
Couple of days ago people broke into my home and held me at gunpoint. I was ready to fight to the death but I asked them what the f they wanted and they where just looking for loot. They f'ed off after I handed over my cash.
Now I'm running. What am I supposed to do. Can't go back there again. They threatened to kill me if the cops got involved but I was already on the phone with them as they made that threat. Can't fight them. Sometimes running is the only option you have.

The more you run, the more your problems multiply. The more you care about, the more you have to fight for, and the harder you fight back. Have you heard My Way? It's my favourite animation and vocals wise.
@tikaepixwhom666 I haven't! I will check it out.
You got pinned And hearted by siames. I agree with you.

The duality in the lyrics is very subtle. It’s a conversation almost between the wolf and the person it’s chasing, really interesting.
Underrated comment!!
Well when you think about it the wolf and who it’s chasing are both the same being.
Jacob Kleeman oh crap
You’re saying this has the same formate as Mr. Fear?
Fear talking to the person
Wolf talking to the person

- its good
- its catchy
- it symbolizes something
- its creative
- the lyrics are from both perspectives

And that ANIMASHON
I'll shoot 800 Wolf with Tank
*Alcohol - ONLY for adults.* Otherwise, the wolf will pop out of the glass and eat you. ( ͡ಠ ͜ʖ ͡ಠ)

After 2 years and this pace is still alive
So the glasses guy is an alcoholic, and skater girl is a smoker... is the other guy addicted to vintage scooters?

Mokey beat ya to that conclusion.
This song has so many deep meanings to it. Holding onto that grudge inside you is a lesson to learn to. Cause the longer you have that grudge the bigger those wolves and demons will come back to cause problems.

Glad to see they have a sense of humor
My interpretation is that the chorus of the song is sung by two different characters. The part where it goes "I'm out of my head, of my heart and my mind" is sung by the individual human characters in the video who're going through their struggles with their addiction. It's driving them insane, hence the text about them being out of their mind.
But the part where it goes "Cause you can run but you can't hide, I'm gonna make you mine" and "Cause I can feel how your flesh now is crying out for more" is sung by their dark desires for the substances that they're addicted to, by the wolves themselves so to speak. Their "wolves" are chasing them, haunting them to indulge further and fall deeper into the hole.
the animation is like a little case study on the impact of dynamic camera angles, perspective shots, and fast transitioning on emotional storytelling and it's very cool to see it done this well. also the amount of abstract shape transitions is super brain tingly.
ah yes this is big brain time
it sure it!! Also the late inclusion of red into the b&w is a breathtaking shift.
literally. this is huge inspiration for anyone who wants to animate or draw interesting perspectives
I kinda saw it as "how can we chuck in a lot of our favourite bits from famous anime on an absolute shoestring by going minimalist but keeping the parts which make them recognisable and magnificent". And they pulled it off brilliantly.

You also never actually see him drink, so I think you're spot-on with the recovering alcoholic idea
@@egalomon never even noticed that detail good eye
What if the bike guy didn't even have an addiction? He could just be someone who's trying to help others with their addiction.
Everyone is gonna see their own journey
Regardless of theories, and all that. Can we all just agree that this would scare us shitless if it actually happened? A wolf made of darkness that can suddenly shift into some abomination thing.
I would want it as a pet
Me:Mmmmmm,nature cooked some spicy creatures
And probably only people with the wolf monsters can see them because like where the fuck are the police
I mean. Skateboard.
Hundreds of Black Shucks!
I just realised how clever the black and white has been done regarding the wolf. Since you can't see black on a black background, the background has some nice tricks:
0:47 white smoke.
1:06 from shadow into the street lights.
2:22 You can't see the wolf (black on black), so let there be lightning!
2:28 Tunnel has light and dark areas due to lighting.
2:45 The amazing return of the street lantern.
I mean...
It's simple logic-
ikr. it's good use of a minimal aesthetic (black and white), they're using shadows and contrast and i notice something new each watch ^^
But the wolves also have white outline sometimes
Thunder also reveals the wolf at 0:09
i mean they also just put a white out line around the wolf in dark areas in general.....

This song is interesting because I think it’s being sung _by_ the wolf _about_ the people. “You can run but you can’t hide, I’m gonna make you mine.” It’s from the villain’s perspective.
😉
And the second to last chorus of “I’m out of my head, of my heart, of my mind” sounds like an echo in the background- almost as if the wolf’s POV has shifted to the people who’ve succumbed to the addiction
the wof is part of the person, it is a part of their own mind, the adiction (like the dark side inside all of us)
you ever hear that tale about the white wolf and the black wolf, the one you feed is the one you win? yeah, this is the black wolf, the adiction, the bad things, and we need to let the white wolf inside of us win.
so this mixture of some lines being from the wolf, and some being from the person, is acctuly briliant, because it is all about the realization, that the wolf is not an extarnal figure, but internal, is inside of us, it IS US! we are figthing ourselfs.
This song is timeless the animation moreso too. The haunting wolf call, the danger you feel, how hopeless it all feels, and just how much it takes from you until you fight back
BRO THIS IS ANIMATED SO WELL, love the character designs, the animations, the lore, everythin' is a masterpiece- LOVE IT EVEN IF IT'S YEARS AGO.

My interpretation:
The man on the bike is running from his past, hes made multiple mistakes in his past they weigh on him.
Moral of the story: if life is picking at you and weighing you down, theres nothing wrong with leaning on a friend whos willing to shoulder the pain with you
Nicely said..

My interpretation is:
The wolfes are the Death representation. The thing that made me think that is the lyric part that says:
"EACH AND EVERY DAY
HIDING FROM THE SUNSHINE
WANDERING IN THE SHADE
NOT TOO OLD, NOT TOO YOUNG"
and
"EVERY NIGHT AGAIN
DANCING WITH THE MOONLIGHT
SOMEWHERE FAR AWAY
I CAN HEAR YOUR CALL…"
This is because Death is not too old or too young, it's forever, present every day and night, hiding awaiting the right moment.
Once you do your last step it comes out and materialize for you. The thing that made me think that is the lyric part that says:
"AWAITING YOUR MISTAKE"
And she/he's ever present, you can't feel it but she/he's there. The thing that made me think that is the lyric part that says:
"NOT TOO CLOSE, NOT TOO FAR"
Simply put, the Death is awaiting and once you do your last mistake will comes out and once she/he materialize, you are screwed. The thing that made me think that is the lyric part that says:
"CAUSE YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN’T HIDE
I’M GONNA MAKE YOU MINE"
And she/he know that you are at your last step, because once you pass it, you will forever keep doing this last step, so it's time to purify your soul, taking you away. The thing that made me think that is the lyric part that says:
"CAUSE I CAN FEEL HOW YOUR FLESH NOW
IS CRYING OUT FOR MORE…"
Now, observing the 3 people:
1) The BAR guy last step was drinking an overdrink. The wolfes materialize. It's time to be taken
2) The girl last step was smoking once more.
MAKE MORE!
!!! creative interpretation!!!!
To me it seems more like a metaphor about immigration. But yours is more genial and good commentary
That's kind of funny, considering your profile pic
his voice is amazing and the song is so meaningful. i love it so much
the guy on the motorcycle was going to get into a crash. The only reason he didn't hit the van that the bar guy hid behind was because the girl pointed it out while they were driving.

The only sad thing is... we will never know if he was able to defeat his wolves
