I just realized the first monster and second are completely different, with the second being an almost more evolved version of the first, no longer having just an eye, but some diamond that functions as a mouth too, as well as lines across the body. The first had oversized shoulders and skinny forearms while the second have even mass through the arm. So I wonder if their third creation will be even more evolved than the first two.
I think this has to do with how it represents a relationship At first, it's messy, unproportional and stuff, bc they don't understand wtf is going on But at the second, it's more clean bc they "know" each other a bit more well, so it's more stable And yea, I think the more fusions, the better it will become
God this is poetic, the way the music swells as they search for eachother, the way it falls when they touch, this has got to be one of the most moving music videos i have ever seen

I really love this song. I'll probs be cheking the rest asap ;D (Also I love that you took the time to write it in spanish that is really awsome, muchas gracias por incluirnos :,D)
lol i was about to make a comment about this, it is amazing how in 1 week it surpassed the audio only video which is one year old Saludos desde Buenos Aires, no puedo esperar a la siguiente animación, ya tienen planeado sacar alguna cancion nueva o alguna otra animacion? eso estaría *muy* bueno
i started to notice something, there is a lot of theory comments in mr fear and the wolf, but siames never stopped what they where doing to say any of them is wrong, this just makes everything a lot better because everyone can have their own takes on the song props to you siames, +3 points for being really cool
I think both characters represent fear. The girl faces everything head-on out of fear, she doesn't want to be vulnerable. The alien runs away because he doesn't want to lose either. Together they make the ultimate embodiment, a creature too scared to run away but also too scared to rationalize. This fear also evolves as fear is complex, it is sometimes needed but hard to control :) just my thoughts though
I think I got the message down of the song down to a note, for me this was the most beautiful love story about a forbidden love but at the same the time the fear that it creates for both of them creates conflicting reactions that result in destruction, the lyrics are literally Mr.FEAR talking about how much he doesn't want to trust in it, to do not fear the love, and the destruction it creates around the city signifies just how badly they are trying despite the maybe eventual outcome. So yeah I cried xD, cheers.
7 DAYS AGO??? HOLY DAMN I'M EARLY TO A COOL COMMENT FOR ONCE. I wanted to say that this is ABSOLUTELY genius interpretation! Grats on the pin man, you earned it!!
So Mr. Fear is love, and every time they touch, they create a wild beast that they don't know how to control because it's so powerful and new to them, they pull apart and the beast dies. they realize that they are alone, but find comfort in each other, touching again, creating a more powerful beast. It begins to pull them apart due to outside stresses, and because they don't touch, the beast dies again. This is at their weakest, when they realize they need each other the most, and so they reconnect before it all ends, possibly starting the beast again.
Great, man. I also thought that maybe it's about bad relationships where two do not actually belong so it's destructive for everything around them but even though they feel like they need each other and go out no matter what.
I love the lines "how long you'll call me insincere" and "let us out of here, don't fight with me my dear, why can't i be here?" because you can trust your fear of trying to keep you safe and making you getting out of that situation but if we don't fight we will never learn important things being the reason of why we can't allow fear to stay. The lyrics are so beautiful, amazing work.
The two characters represent two different types of fear. If you notice, red guy is the only one among his people who has three eyes (thx people in replies). Briefly at the start you see someone staring at him before he puts his hood on. He represents social fear, or fear of rejection. The girl seems to be a confident and agressive person, and she attacks anything she doesn’t understand. She is fear generated by ignorance and pride. Notice that when she fires the arrow, she turns the bow straight at the the red guy, making it seem like its intentional. Furthermore, she attacks the two guards immedatley on seeing them. The beast is the mixture of these fears. One suffered under a societey, and the orher seeks to destroy whatever is strange or threatening to it. Thus, a monster that hates the societey and destroys everything is born. Other fun things to notice: When thrown into a cell, the red guy curls up like he’s used to lonliness and the girl freaks out and panics. Furthermore, he looks inward and and she looks outward, as his solution to fear is to hide and hers is to strike outward The red guy wears a hood to hide his face, while the girl wears a turtleneck that hides her mouth (sometimes), as she does not communicate her ideas well The line “to mind control your needs” blends with this idea quite well I think The items represent how they handle fear. The loner makes and collects artistic baubles (you can see more on his shelf) while the girl hunts and lashes out any time she’s given an excuse, hence the arrow head she shot red guy with. The prison is perfectly symmetrical, which is a way of showing that despite their very different symptoms, they are two sides of the same coin. People struggling with fear. All tools are yellow or have some yellow in them. Yellow seems to symbolize the reaction to or consequences of fear. The red guy is scared, so he takes up a hobby that requires a solid yellow back pack. The girl wishes to lash out so she takes up a solid yellow bow. Whenever the beast is born, a solid yellow dome shaped blast is made. The guards carry their guns both out of fear and duty, so their weapons are only part yellow. Most interestingly, the background separating the video clips is also yellow and is often used to show their separation. The color purple seems to be symbolic for fear. The red guy hides away and wears a purple hoodie. The beast of their combined fear is a light purple. The prison cell that separates them is purple as well. If you notice in the prison scene, the background fades to black, representing the void they both feel, and in that void, all they have is each other. I’ve been wondering about the meaning of red. Let’s start with our window into this world, red guy. Our red guy could be interpreted as being an embodiment of fearing fear itself, as he pulls apart from the beast. At the same time, however, he’s wrapped in the very color of fear, his purple hoodie, and seems somewhat comfortable (though frustrated) in the prison cell, which is also the color of fear. My theory is that meanings of red and blue are swapped. Blue usually stands for calm and red for violence, but here we see we a violent person in blue and a calm person with light red skin. More evidence would be that the bullet/blast fired from the gun at the very end is blue as well. The primarily red soldiers, while they are attacking, are doing it for the sake of peace and security. Furthermore, they are a blend of a harsh red and a faint yellow. Thus, I’d say that they stand for the desire for peace (dark red) due to the consequences of fear (faint yellow), which is usually why a military is organized in the first place, to take on a feared threat and ensure peace. The red guy is almost always on the left and the girl is almost always on the right. This could very well mean that the characters are symbolic for left brain and right brain, logical and creative sides of the brain respectively. This would explain why the baubles are so appealing to each other, as the girl sees creativity from the logical and the guy sees precision from the creative side. Even more interesting, the beast could just be symbolic for a person dealing with their two interpretations of fear, their logical left brain saying to hide away and their emotional right brain saying to lash out. After all, the song is about a woman debating and struggling with her perceived embodiment of terror, Mr. Fear. The most characteristic difference of the two different forms or the beast is the eye. The first has an ordinary eye shape with a pupil, and it is clear the characters see what the beast sees. The only anomaly is that the eye closes side ways, like red guy’s third eye. The second has no pupil, meaning no light actually enters the eye, as well as a mouth that shares the same space when angered. The eye is in the shape of a rhombus, like the guard’s visor. Furthermore, the characters seem to ignore the actions of the beast. Could this mean the characters see what is happening, but are blind to the consequences of their uncontrolled, united fear when they pursue each other only? One answer could be that the eye represents what they fear (Thx @Sttda1 for the idea). The the red guy’s social fear caused by people staring at his third eye (great visual pun btw) and the girl’s fear of the red people result in that beast bearing his eye. The second beast looks like the police visor as they both recently suffered under them. The meaning of the beasts eye could then mean that when we feel fear, we can only see the world through the fear we experienced.
I can't help but analyse such songs, after all what is the point in writing deep lyrics and artistic animations if we do not attempt to understand and comprehend them. I do wish the artist would come out with the true meaning tho :p
I'm four years late to this masterpiece, and I just need to address the excellent storytelling in a MUSIC VIDEO, it's even better when you realise most of the clips are out of time, but seamlessly feel like they're apart of the current scene that is happening, until it gets close to the climax and then you realise what's happening, it's honestly a great way to blind your viewers before finally giving them what they crave, and speaking of things to crave, THIS ANIMATION STYLE! OH MY GOD, IT'S GLORIOUS-
You know, setting aside all the metaphorical meaning, the literal meaning of the story is pretty cool. Futuristic world where alien and humans are separated because of weird addictive super love powers that occur when they touch.
or maybe that's just the alien's version of an erection. y'know, like how we have uncomfortable pants, they have fusing with a female and transforming into a monster that could threaten the lives of many
@@confusedaf1112 Comfirmation it's a cool idea lmao. They pin alot of different theories here too if you look. There's no "Canon pin" here, they just like you to think on the meaning.
I know there are many theories and speculations on what this song and video represent, but I think the true meaning is that as long as love exists, there will always be fear that comes with it. The fear of losing what you love.
SuperThischannel maybe that could represent the separated ideals breaking down a close minded community? Super hypothetical, but still, the thought occurs
The interpretations people have from this song are insane. I could gather some of the info, but some of you went to great lengths to show how x represents this thing and y represents that and how x and y combine to make z. It also goes to prove that music nowadays isn't just mindless garbage, and that it can be interpreted in many different ways just like an abstract paining can be interpreted in many different ways. It's truly a spectacle to behold.
4 years later and im still attached to these one-off characters. I want to see these two again so badly, their situation, their relationship, their dependance and fear of each other ALL communicated exclusively through action and expression, no words. just... *chefs kiss*. There's much to build off beyond this music vid. i wanna make a crappy made spin-off of what happens next just to satisfy the fanart/fanfic artist in me but god would that take years.
I mean I guess you could build off of it, but there's honestly no point. The advantage of music videos like this is that they can be more surreal and don't need to follow narrative conventions. You'd be filling so much in that you might as well just create something new that has it as an influence. The bright side of this is that you're sure to find something that scratches the same itch. For example, if you want something that explores the relationship of two people opposed by society then there's Haven and Saga (which itself is considered one of the comic GOATs).
Siamés never fails to make a compelling story with their songs and Rudo is the same with their animation. Been waiting for this new story for months now and it has been truly worth the wait. Good job Siamés and Rudo!
I’m really happy to read through the comments and see how much positivity this video is getting and how thought provoking it is. It’s a work of art and I love seeing it received that way.
I don't see anyone else mentioning this but: The alien language is actually a cipher. It's decipherable if you take time to figure it out! Use the end title card 'Mr. Fear' as the Rosetta stone and then some clever guesswork. The tough part is that not just letters are deciphered but so are numbers, which are harder to figure out. I have like 75% of the alphabet figured out and like 40% of the numbers. Anyone else? I can offer some assistance if anyone wants to do this ARG too!
I was asked to add a bit to what I found: at 4:04 there's a poster in the background that says "Without Humans, Without Monster". Any speculation? Come discuss on discord! I'm posting a grid of what I've found.
I like the idea that people who are full of fear often find comfort in one another because of it - but in the end, sometimes being surrounded only by people who share and encourage that fear can be detrimental and make it worse. You're much more likely to overcome it if you have someone who's able to encourage it and show confidence.
The fact that in both times we get to see the creature the protagonists make, it doesn't have any legs or way of movement but crawling, makes me think of this bond being unstable and unpredictable. It's new, and confusing to both. No one has probably done this before in their world before. The small detail of making it unable to move without dragging itself around moreorless pulls to me the idea that this experience one may call it is not grounded yet, and they're only just starting to understand how it, and they themselves work. Whenever they join together, the bass in the background is brought front and center, identifying that the creature is in play, and is most likely a more important puzzle piece than lead to be believed, possibly the most important piece.
Man I post comments that are cool and then people like you always outbest like what is this school is this a song report 3 paragraphs indent what the crap
it has a lower half, its just kinda buried in the dirt, you can see it dragging through the dirt on its back shots, so yeah, it has legs, it just likely hasnt learned to stand or pull itself up yet, though your point still stands
Now seriously, ever since I saw "The Wolf" back in 2017, I've been looping your album while playing games, somehow I never get tired of listening to it, and now, this... Seriously, I hope it blows up, you guys are great and I just loved Mr.Fear, my second favorite of the album, and now it just got an animation with the wonderous work of RUDO, I hope you guys keep creating more music and keep bringing RUDO Co. together with it, It would be a dream come true. Best of success to you!
God..this is something I want to do. I want to be on this level of animation and tell stories through mediums like this--I always have. And it's so sad to see how rare stories are told this way--but I'm so happy that a channel like this exists. This video is a gem.
I really want to learn how to animate; animation is like one of the coolest things ever! I think a discord for animation beginners should totally be a thing!
Mr. Fear is... the beast itself and the fear that comes with it. The two characters are something similar to Yin and Yang. Two opposites that have a lot of friction, which gain balance once they are in harmony with one another. I thought about this metaphor because of the 2 trinkets (the plant bauble and the spear head) sort of resemble the small dots in each of Ying and Yang's insides, which are of opposite colour (spearhead is death, plant is life, let that sink in for a while). In the first transformation, when the guy realized the girl wanted to smash one of his kind, he countered the attack by pushing to his own side and splitting the beast in half. So the beast can only live as long as they are close to each other (basically when the friction starts). In the second transformation, they desperately seek each other, but like magnets of the same pole (or same purpose in this case), when they reconnect and the beast becomes anew, they have a really hard time trying to get very close to each other. Think of both the beast and the "outside pressure" (the army) as a common force that's meant to keep them apart. The stronger they want to connect and gain balance, the higher the pressure (the stronger the beast, the higher the fear, the more massive the aftermath will be). Mr. Fear is the ferocious embodiment of this struggle which grows proportionately to the desire for balance. The barrier that separates Yin from Yang, the deterrent of harmony. The illusion that fools the weak into giving up, the fist that holds hope to the ground. Maybe even... entropy itself? Regardless, in the final phase of the video, the two still want to connect, and that's when Mr. Fear's power turns weaker and says "Don't trust in me, my dear", the opposite of how it went so far, because the two realized that they know "It's not real". My end guess is that they connect once more, but instead of losing control, they fight for each other in unison and actually control all the beast's decisions (but stray from the city and find shelter in the forest where their chaos can no longer harm others, while they try to better understand how this all works). Thoughts anyone? :D Now, coming back to the real world, this song is on repeat ever since I found it. Cheers, SIAMÉS , the song and video are a genius combination.
I've seen a ton of peopl considering the animation but not really the lyrics We have two people singing, the other is Mr. Fear who is probably just that; fear. Both the verses are from the perspective of this Mr. Fear, telling the other person he's not being understood correctly and that he'll never disappear. During the bridge the other person answers Mr. Fear, telling him that he's hated because he makes them feel alone. I'd conclude that the song is about how fear is needed but often misundestood which leads to all kinds of trouble. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I have at some point wanted the fear to disappear altogether, but it will never do so. Tying this back to the animation I think the huge monster represents fear itself, the alien is perhaps the "flight" part of fear while the human is the "fight" part. Fear consumes them and gets them in trouble, but they're still willing to try again and embrace that fear. (Also, the human seems to be living in some sort of a bubble, perhaps the comfort zone and doesn't fear aggression, while the alien is curious but easily shocked by aggression. They're two very different entities yet both needed.)
The perfect trio: 1.-Stuck In the Sound - Let's Go [Official Video] 2.-SIAMÉS "Mr. FEAR" [Official Animated Music Video] 3.-C2C - Delta (Official Video)
Cara difícil imaginar que 5 anos atrás conheci essa música logo no lançamento, eu tava trabalhando em Curitiba, ainda sinto falta dessa época, agora voltei para o interior de sp, eu não devia ter voltado.....
I see this video as a remastering of a classic tale, of two people from different worlds that are alien to each other, and therefore something to fear. However, the two people are trying to cross the gap between their worlds and accept each other, while their conjunction is seen as something destructive to the established ways of life. This is where the Mr. Fear themes come in, as the video is depicting what fear does to society and deviants. Fearing change makes people suppress it, but sometimes its strong enough to fight back and escape.
I wonder if the reason they keep trying to come together, even though the result is catastrophe, is because, though they’re the two types of fear, both of them have one thing in common: fear of being *alone*. That’s why, even when the monster of fear was destroying everything around them, and society was fighting against them, they continued trying to come together, because all they had was each other.
Siames is such a confusing group, idk if I want to consider them great musicians or directors because both the song and animation are perfect, The world and Mr.Fear are my favourite songs in this music genre, hell it is what made me made me interested in this music genre opposed to only metal or heavier rock. What I want to say is thank you for creating such great pieces of art, I do appreciate and respect you for it
The girl shoots an arrow that hits the guy through a barrier, having aimed for a rabbit that she was likely planning to eat. Upon realizing her mistake the guy decides to give her his keepsake as a sign of peace. She receives it, brushing her hand against his, causing a strange reaction. Out of curiousity they hold hands to see what happens. By making contact they fuse and out of fear move towards the city. The girl is aimless in her fear but the guy is searching for the comfort of his home. Blinded by fear, they aciidentally kill one person and move towards killing a second. They split up in thoughts and body when it comes to killing that second person intentionally though. And after falling to the ground, they are each captured and confined in separate cells. The girl fondles the plant that was given as a sign of peace, whilst the guy pulls out the arrowhead that is an accidental sign of aggression. And their simultaneous fear of each other as unknowns is overshadowed by the greater fear of the outside circumstance and persecution they face. The fear builds up externally and internally in a chain reaction until it explodes, driving them back together. They refuse but end up consumed by their collective fear. The girl represents our fight reaction and the guy our flight reaction. Just like a cornered rabbit surrounded by predators the monster, who is a combination, is forced to fight everything it sees to pursue the flight action. ...And in that codependent situation when faced with that much fear... The mind breaks.
@@meleter8107 It's all up to how much time you're willing to give to interpret something that interests you. There's no need to think too hard about things if you don't want to, is there? Watch enough music videos over and over again and you'll start to form your own thoughts about what's happening in them.
The creative direction in these music videos are always top tier! I love the pallet and the way they presented the animation in panels. They also have such a strong understanding of story telling and world building, it’s great. Don’t get me started on the character design. The music is also amazing as always. Big props to the team behind this! I love it so much!
Call me crazy, but I think Fear is trying to tell you (the listener) that although you can't get rid of fear you don't have to. That coexistence is possible, hence the line at the beginning wishing for a faster therapy. From personal experience fear based therapy is all about realizing fear is normal and you shouldn't be afraid of being afraid. Therefore what fear wants out of all this is for you to stop being afraid of it and just accept it. In the video we see 2 different reactions to fear (2 of the most common reactions as well) avoidance and aggression. I won't go too long form about this cause another comment does a much better job of explaining it (Taylor it took me a solid 15 mins to read and absorb your essay good work) Our aggressive girl is almost childlike in her reactiveness. She sees the little bauble and is curious, she sees people who could hurt her or this new person she likes and lashes out, out of fear. Our red boi is different than everyone else so he hide his differences out of fear and avoids confrontation (most plainly evident by his refusal to attack the fallen guard. While I'm unsure if the giant they spawn is representative of their collective fear, it's actions are most assuredly done out of fear. Fear is the most powerful motivator to change ones circumstances so it's usefulness has been paramount to our survival as a species ("Now get us out of here. Just trust in me my dear!") However, as useful fear can be, living in it constantly is very unhealthy. It can distort a person's view of the world, those around them, and others intentions. This is represented by Mr. Fear contradicting himself by also telling you to NOT trust him and warning you he will try and control your thoughts. This song is incredible and has made me think long and hard about my own struggle with fear. Thank you Siames for making this song and thanks to all the insightful comments (Taylor) it really helped me put words to some of my thoughts! Here's to being ok with being afraid, and not letting it control us! Edit: Thanks for the love everyone! Also I just noticed this but the city is perfectley symetrical
Here: I might be wrong, but I think it's about any type of relationship, that society denies like multi-racial relationship. When those two main charecters touch with hands they form monster, that interpret like fear of societies' thoughts about relations. And I think that, big monster is supposed to be Mr. Fear.
I like how the music video goes along with the song-it's about the alien and the human overcoming their initial fear of each other and discovering a connection, which offsets the balance of the worlds they reside in, which use that fear as a form of control. Ultimately, it's about how fear controls us, and how by overcoming it, we discover our own true hidden potential.
@@ElectrifyyHD Well, it sounded a hell of a lot better than sometimes overcoming fear is fusing into a giant goddamn cyclops monster and going full-on Godzilla on a future city.
I applaud the person who spent countless hours of their days (and even nights maybe) animating this music video. MARVELOUS animation. I would probably fall asleep and die before I even finished half of this thing. Cheers to you my friend.
I've watched this video a bunch of times, and now I know why it fascinates me so much. This is the first time I've seen an animated music video that visually illustrates the impact of a different kind of toxic relationship, individuals that couple together despite knowing they should be separate; both for the sake of themselves, but those around them. Each time they are joined together, this pairing is fraught with issues, and the obvious external impact is the devastation of other entities around them. The external entities become collateral damage as the couple struggles with their own internal issues and with each other. It takes a lot for a couple to admit "We're better as friends than lovers"
this was my favourite song from the album and seeing this beautiful animation to go with it??? im gone, im speechless i cant even express how much i love this video
I think that the whole thing is about working out problems in a relationship or otherwise. Of course, they never gain control in the video, but they keep running back to each other regardless of what happens. Each attempt is different, and each attempt also works towards the goal of conquering the fear of the unknown. Of course, there is no direct way to interpret this video.
Wait actually This is just a straight conversation between Fear ,itself, and the person who lives it at this moment Fear: you know i'll never disappear now get me out of here just trust in me, my dear no cure is coming you know i'll never disappear now get us out of here don't fight with me, my dear why can't i be in here? The Person: Cause you make me feel like i'm so alone i know its not real, but its in my soul and i just can try to face the dark inside my head"
I'm gonna go ahead and say this before i read anyone else's theory on the song and video meaning: I think the theory behind this video is that when true love awakens, it can become a self-destructive raging beast of destruction, uncontrollable and unstoppable, and unless you keep a clear head, maintain your self-control, and remain stronger than your emotions, that love will consume you, and it will destroy everything and everyone around you in the end. I think Siamése is trying to warn us that if we are not careful about who we each choose to share emotions and love with, it can be devastating in the end. Also, Siamése, you did an absolutely wonderful job on this, and I'm gonna have to figure out which part of the video I'm gonna get tattoo'd to match my wolf tattoo from your first video! 😊
i think your theory forgets the fact they are trying so hard to bond, and it s like they can t touch their hands cause a mysterious force push them away and suddenly grow when they finally touch. this in an important point lacking in your theory imo
@@unhommequicourt Well, love can be so strong, it actually pushes you away from that person, I feel, that was the case with them, desperately trying to love eachother and bond, without really knowing that it was their love that kept them away from eachother.
After watching this, I felt a breeze down my spine. I've been a fan of yours for a while, and I felt in love with Mr. Fear as soon as I listened to it. Watching such an amazing music video of that song, just relieved my heart. Seriously, make more of these, they're wonderful!
dang i just thought this was about being in a relationship, both have to work together. but sometimes it can be destructive hence the chaos but if they work together it might work out

I'm a biologist, so, I'm biased to see biological and evolutionary analogies) There's an automatic pattern activated by our sympathetic nervous system called the 'fight-or-flight' responce. It's evolutionary beneficial for our survival in threatening situations. The girl is a huntress - she represents the 'fight' part. Hostility is her usual response to danger, she shoots at people out of fear. The alien boy is a 'flight' part of the system. He wants to run, cower, pretend like he's not here, once some threat arises. In the end, they are two sides of one coin... a coin which we call fear. Together they create anxiety, and it can be devastating. Nowadays, it's not about a tiger hiding in the bushes. A phone call, a deadline or schedule alteration, someone's opinion about you can trigger the same 'fight-or-flight' response and make you feel threatened all the time. The system which ensured the survival of our ancestors is now destroying our relationships, our societies. 'I know it's not real but it's in my soul' is pretty accurate for millions of people who struggle with anxiety in our fast-paced world. Unfortunately, 'no cure is coming, you know'. It's an essential part of our nervous system, part of who we are. The cure, however, can be found by being attentive to your health, maintaining meaningful social relationships and asking for help (psychotherapy, medications, changing your environment). Stay safe.
Let's just talk about the cool patterns in this music video, the "alien" is always on the left side of the screen, the "human" is always on the right side, always shown in these windows but when they try to have any physical contact, the border between the two disappears and connects into one big window, and when they turn into the monster, the window completely disappears and goes full screen, except for the first time the monster was shown, probably because we still had no idea it was actually these two. Also, the prison building is shown without the borders except for the beginning, other than that, it did not have any of these even when the monster was shown for the first time, either because of the prison or the explosion the two characters make when they come in contact, both are shown in full screen. Anything not related to these two is shown in windows that are placed randomly around the screen. Also noticed that the two artifacts, the blue arrowhead and the sphere with flora inside of it, are shown in round windows, at the first scene of the two characters separating from each other as the monster their faces were also in these circular windows. The arrowhead was at first owned by the "human", and the other artifact by the "alien", yet they are shown being held the other way around, also both of these artifacts were left at the location they turned into a monster for the first time, so they probably came back for them in the future, surely all this has a lot of meaning.
This kinda makes me think of a toxic relationship. Like they hurt each other and everyone around them when they're together, but feel lost and afraid when they're apart because they have attachment issues. And everyone around them wants to keep them apart because they see the relationship as dangerous
It's amazing to see that I got pinned for this, but this animation and song is so great, I love it. Everytime I watch it I think of new ideas and thoughts. Like it's really interesting and curious how you see a whole bunch of people from the guys world, but for the girl, all you see is her and a single white rabbit. And you also have to wonder how the guy decided to go to her world in the first place. I could probably write a whole book just based on this song and video combination. I'm addicted to stuff like this that is just concentrated imagination magic
Dude... The fact that siames is still replying to comments is honestly insane, the music is incredible, the animation is fantastic, and I am craving more!
Whoever story boards and animates their full length music videos is a fucking genius. I love both of their videos so much and am blow away by the unique art styles and story telling. The fact that the two characters are displayed on two separate halves of the screen until they either connect their perspectives and form Mr. Fear, or when they are searching for each other. There's a lot of different layers that keeps me watching it again and again. I've shown just about everyone I know this video. A Masterpiece.
That’s RUDO. CO for you. The animators come from that animation company, and are AMAZING at what they do. You can see it in SIAMES’ previous song, The Wolf, where they also animated the video for it.
My hypothesis after a couple watches: The first one lives in a declining society where natural resources are/have become scarce and the second one lives in a sort of wildlife reserve. The first person is overcome with fear of wasting their entire life away in the slums and wants to explore, and then later afraid of losing what little they have left to the second person's rampage. The second one is simply overcome with fear of the world outside, of the unknown. Them turning into the giant "Mr. Fear" I guess, represents their overbearing urge to escape their fears however they can. The boxes that occasionally pop up between them make me feel as though it could also represent them coming from two different worlds trying to learn to coexist (why they combine), but the monster comes out instead because they’re overwhelmed by the inescapable fear.
I cried with "the wolf" I cried with "Mr. Fear" but I got really happy when I realized that SIAMES es una Banda Argentina, son unos genios, prodigios, gracias! An audiovisual miracle.
I miss you alot, im glad i found this song, i remember when you played it, i was listening, these songs you showed me now make my heart sink, this is my way of feeling and coping with how we ended things, i love you forever and ever.
I didn't know a song could represent a relationship I had that superb but it indeed can, let me explain. I could pronounce word by word this song and that person and I would agree that it represented our relationship. From the misunderstanding in the melodies, due to the fact that I made a really long poem to express what was in my mind because I couldn't talk it anyhow, to 'I'll never disappear' because we must be talked day in, day out, fortunately. In the end, when that relationship ended, I couldn't tell her what that person had meant in my life, I couldn't tell that person the doors opened and the stigmas closed but the appreciation burnt out and now uve got me writing disordered thoughts on a RUclips comment, I guess I needed to post it somewhere. Thanks for listening.
Everyone trying to interpret the song and video, but can we just acknowledge that the people responsible are awesome! My thanks to SIAMES to everyone responsible for this, the animation is god-tier and the music is amazing, please keep releasing more.
Felicidades.
Perhaps the most basic of all basic theory is personalization of fear. Fear will control your needs, as in once you struck by fear, you will focus on them and now you're searching for a solution. everything you do, will and needs will be replaced as fear told you what is important. it will also never disappear, it tries to convince you to get away from your current situation and making you hopeless as by telling you there are no other way. in conclusion, it wants you to follow your instinct and do what must be done other than fighting back Mr. Fear.
This message in this video is genius and really makes you stop to think about how we should not let our dark thoughts control us or we won’t survive and it will destroy us. There are times when fear can help us but there are times where it’s bad for us. It was a message amazingly conveyed in the animation and song. Brilliant work
Fear gives you a mountain to climb and if you simply climb it then you'll be fine. If you don't then it will build mountains on top of mountains until you forget what it was that made you afraid to begin with. A coward is only a coward until the moment that they are not. It takes a true sort of giving up to never push back, to fail utterly to shatter yourself and reconstruct the pieces in a different order because just being alive constantly pushes us to do exactly that. Fear becomes bad when you disobey what it's trying to tell you, what you are trying to tell yourself about yourself. It's good to listen to fear but be wary of misinterpreting the message because it's either trying to protect you in which case you should listen or it's posing a challenge in which case you should pay attention and overcome.
Honestly Siamés your music really makes me connect to it, the emotions that flow from the lyrics and singing really help during the rough times, much love to the band and I hope you all stay safe.
The animation is gorgeous, as it always has been, and dear god... The music, the message it means to pass is just incredible. Great work as always guys, keep doing awesome projects like this!
I love this song ❤️🥰 It inspired me to accept my fears and face them genuinely. It’s pretty amazing what you do when you remove all the bullshit and really figure yourself out. Fear is a call to action, making it neither good nor bad. I think the way we face our fears and therefore ourselves is what defines whether it’s crippling or uplifting.
I believe the video represents a toxic relationship. Although there is a feeling of love, there is something destructive and violent. It affects both the central characters, who are consumed, and the people around them, who are injured. Acredito que o video representa um relacionamento tóxico. Apesar dole haver o sentimento de amor, há algo destrutivo e violento. Que afeta tanto os dois personagens centrais, que são consumidos, quanto aa pessoas ao redor, que são feridas.
Why is no one talking about the fact that at the end they are two separate "monsters"? It looks like they are seeking out each other, the scenes and shots make the illusion that it is just one but it isn't. This makes sense as the second time they transform, the "monster" looks different, like an incomplete version of it self.
Oh my GOD, i can't believe I just found this song! Everything in this piece is actual art! From the Lyrics to the beat to the animation. Everything here is a masterpiece. I hope I can find more like this. ¡Ya tienen una nueva suscriptora y ya estoy esperando más rate como este! ¡Sigan así muchachos, y por sobre todo, disfruten de lo bello que estan creando!

That was me too
Me too
Same, wish it was a series. It'd be my favorite
Mee too maaan
That me but with the music more than animation but animation also good
I just realized the first monster and second are completely different, with the second being an almost more evolved version of the first, no longer having just an eye, but some diamond that functions as a mouth too, as well as lines across the body. The first had oversized shoulders and skinny forearms while the second have even mass through the arm. So I wonder if their third creation will be even more evolved than the first two.
Pokemon
the third one will have L E G S
I think its because they did it when they were separated.
Oh yeah and the second one made a bigger shockwave.
I think this has to do with how it represents a relationship
At first, it's messy, unproportional and stuff, bc they don't understand wtf is going on
But at the second, it's more clean bc they "know" each other a bit more well, so it's more stable
And yea, I think the more fusions, the better it will become
“So every time we touch each other we transform into a huge monster that destroys everything in it’s path.... *Let’s do it again* “
I meeaaaannnnn, why not eh ?
... And everytime we kiss, I feel I can fly!
"Are u really gonna do it aga...
Why, yes"
And that is why tou never put two atoms together
I think that this is a metaphor: the fear of be loved
God this is poetic, the way the music swells as they search for eachother, the way it falls when they touch, this has got to be one of the most moving music videos i have ever seen

i started to notice something, there is a lot of theory comments in mr fear and the wolf, but siames never stopped what they where doing to say any of them is wrong, this just makes everything a lot better because everyone can have their own takes on the song
props to you siames, +3 points for being really cool

Nice theory
And they even came out and gave me props for me coming to the right conclusion! I love them for that even more than I already did!
AND, what's cool is their checking in on our theories pretty often, even 2 years later
So
Nice 👍

@@littlemissemila1818 that's really cool I have a few rescues too :)
So yeah I cried xD, cheers.

good job buddy bo pro brodie rad sick cool guy man
Riot Breaker seems like you got it, dude. Nice job.
Not gonna lie if I fell in love with someone only to turn into that and destroy things around me I wouldn't wanna reconnect.
True love is destroying a city together
Great, man. I also thought that maybe it's about bad relationships where two do not actually belong so it's destructive for everything around them but even though they feel like they need each other and go out no matter what.
Siames aproves :D
I just realized that the picture isn't complete unless they're touching
I love this
Oh shit

My theory:
SIAMÉS are criminally underrated and need more attention
It's not a theory if it's TRUE
@@shaden489 Yee
These are the facts.
Xd
True.
Everyone is freaking out over the theories that can come from this, while I am just sitting over here basking in the *GORGEOUS ANIMATION LIKE WHAT*
It's so smooth, and it's so expressive too! There's a lot animators on the credits, wonder how much to pay to have this quality of animation.

Other fun things to notice:
When thrown into a cell, the red guy curls up like he’s used to lonliness and the girl freaks out and panics. Furthermore, he looks inward and and she looks outward, as his solution to fear is to hide and hers is to strike outward
The red guy wears a hood to hide his face, while the girl wears a turtleneck that hides her mouth (sometimes), as she does not communicate her ideas well
The line “to mind control your needs” blends with this idea quite well I think
The items represent how they handle fear.
Outstanding!! 🙌🙌

Pretty true
I have to say I do not think they are separated because that bubble appeared out of nowhere and I think that was the first human that planet
or maybe that's just the alien's version of an erection. y'know, like how we have uncomfortable pants, they have fusing with a female and transforming into a monster that could threaten the lives of many
You got pinned. I guess that's a confirmation?

I mean I guess you could build off of it, but there's honestly no point. The advantage of music videos like this is that they can be more surreal and don't need to follow narrative conventions. You'd be filling so much in that you might as well just create something new that has it as an influence.
The bright side of this is that you're sure to find something that scratches the same itch. For example, if you want something that explores the relationship of two people opposed by society then there's Haven and Saga (which itself is considered one of the comic GOATs).

Mr. Fear is... the beast itself and the fear that comes with it.
Now, coming back to the real world, this song is on repeat ever since I found it. Cheers, SIAMÉS

Raygore this makes a lot of sense to be honest. Better than my theory.
I loved Siamese's music, another fan:)
I've seen a ton of peopl considering the animation but not really the lyrics
We have two people singing, the other is Mr.
That's a pretty good assessment not going to lie
Northflower, YOU ARE A GENIUS
This is a fricken rad analysis. Thank you

Being pinned by Siames >:)
so true
Very interesting viewpoint there

Getting pinned :^)
I wonder if the reason they keep trying to come together, even though the result is catastrophe, is because, though they’re the two types of fear, both of them have one thing in common: fear of being *alone*. That’s why, even when the monster of fear was destroying everything around them, and society was fighting against them, they continued trying to come together, because all they had was each other.
THEY PINNED IT
its a toxic relationship, it affects everyone around them including themselves, but they dont see it and keep coming back to each other.

Pure. Freaking. Awesome.
Some Weirdo on the Internet I agree
CORRECTION, a giant monster made of pure awesome.

YES, THE SAME HERE HAHAHAHA
Call me crazy, but I think Fear is trying to tell you (the listener) that although you can't get rid of fear you don't have to. That coexistence is possible, hence the line at the beginning wishing for a faster therapy. From personal experience fear based therapy is all about realizing fear is normal and you shouldn't be afraid of being afraid. Therefore what fear wants out of all this is for you to stop being afraid of it and just accept it. In the video we see 2 different reactions to fear (2 of the most common reactions as well) avoidance and aggression. I won't go too long form about this cause another comment does a much better job of explaining it (Taylor it took me a solid 15 mins to read and absorb your essay good work)
Our aggressive girl is almost childlike in her reactiveness.

I think it could be like society thoughts about their relationship.
Here:
I might be wrong, but I think it's about any type of relationship, that society denies like multi-racial relationship.
When those two main charecters touch with hands they form monster, that interpret like fear of societies' thoughts about relations.
And I think that, big monster is supposed to be Mr. Fear.
Happy 6th year Mr Fear ❤️
I like how the music video goes along with the song-it's about the alien and the human overcoming their initial fear of each other and discovering a connection, which offsets the balance of the worlds they reside in, which use that fear as a form of control. Ultimately, it's about how fear controls us, and how by overcoming it, we discover our own true hidden potential.

Muchisimas graciaaaaaaasss!
And also they are both a different race. Im glad they also chose to include that as an allegory.
this was my favourite song from the album and seeing this beautiful animation to go with it??? im gone, im speechless i cant even express how much i love this video
It's so cute how they both need to be together
I think the whole thing is that it’s a toxic relationship
@@Delta-ei7im why?
I think that the whole thing is about working out problems in a relationship or otherwise. Of course, they never gain control in the video, but they keep running back to each other regardless of what happens. Each attempt is different, and each attempt also works towards the goal of conquering the fear of the unknown. Of course, there is no direct way to interpret this video.
Alguien Mas Well if whenever you meet you both turn into a giant monster, I’d say there’s some issues there.

I'm gonna go ahead and say this before i read anyone else's theory on the song and video meaning:
I think the theory behind this video is that when true love awakens, it can become a self-destructive raging beast of destruction, uncontrollable and unstoppable, and unless you keep a clear head, maintain your self-control, and remain stronger than your emotions,
that love will consume you, and it will destroy everything and everyone around you in the end.
OHH that's why it was two people from different worlds. To show it in a metaphorical sense
Cheeto Fingerz Although I disagree, I like the theory

The monster reprsents how uncontrollable a relationship is, how from one mistake can cause your whole world to spiral out of control.

Stay safe.
you have all of my respect lmao good job!!

What?
I assure you siames, that one day your music will get the massive recognition that it deserves.

A Masterpiece.
yknow its called looking in the description. the animators are from rudo co
Every frame of this is so well thought out and it all comes together so goddamn well it's amazing. You're right, it's a masterpiece
That’s RUDO. CO for you. The animators come from that animation company, and are AMAZING at what they do. You can see it in SIAMES’ previous song, The Wolf, where they also animated the video for it.
My hypothesis after a couple watches:
The first one lives in a declining society where natural resources are/have become scarce and the second one lives in a sort of wildlife reserve.

Brilliant work
Am I the only one thinking about haitan revolution and petite blancs?
Daamn you got pinned
now you're about to get a lot of attention

The animation is gorgeous, as it always has been, and dear god... The music, the message it means to pass is just incredible.
Great work as always guys, keep doing awesome projects like this!
I love this song ❤️🥰
It inspired me to accept my fears and face them genuinely.
It’s pretty amazing what you do when you remove all the bullshit and really figure yourself out. Fear is a call to action, making it neither good nor bad. I think the way we face our fears and therefore ourselves is what defines whether it’s crippling or uplifting.
👏👏👏
You got pinned just 20 minutes ago and i'm your second like! Prepare for a lot of replies, probably...

I believe the video represents a toxic relationship. Although there is a feeling of love, there is something destructive and violent. It affects both the central characters, who are consumed, and the people around them, who are injured.
Cara...Uau

Wow! Not only the music is cool, and the melody, but this song is rich with lyrics. First time heard it just now and love it instantly!
Why is no one talking about the fact that at the end they are two separate "monsters"? It looks like they are seeking out each other, the scenes and shots make the illusion that it is just one but it isn't. This makes sense as the second time they transform, the "monster" looks different, like an incomplete version of it self.
Damn, they pinned ur comment even after 2 years, seems like u nailed one of the points
I thought it was obvious T.T they have subtle differences, one has a marking on its neck, one doesnt, and the lines are different too...
My life was a lie, and only now I could see the truth
